We are skint. Mellon's post-match interview talks of bringing in players with potential and non-league budgets. Still think we're going up?

I am happy with the loanees coming in, but we should steer clear of Baxter.

I've no problem with loaning youngsters if they offer something different to what we've got already. However, where possible, we should be giving our own youngsters a chance first. Gumbs, Drysdale Solomon-Davies and Devine all played in the Maidstone win last season. Rokka was signed as one for the future, but is a winger the same as Motley-Henry. Will reserve my judgement in those who come in until I see them play, but recent experience hasn't given cause for optimism. Tollitt aside, those youngsters we've loaned in recent years have made little impact.

Not sure he's come in to be back up to be honest. Although he will be once Cassidy is back
I wouldn't say he's good enough to be a starter. Seems a nice lad though I hope he does well.

MY QUOTES ARE ALL MESSING UP.[/QUOTE]

Had a good game on Saturday by all accounts.

Hartlepool have signed striker Tomi Adeloye. We had him here in pre season and he did really well for us and bagged a few goals. Was disappointed we didn't sign him permanently. Could be a very good player at this level (admittedly this is only from the small amount I saw pre season).

Scored a hat trick for us against Bradford on Tuesday in a friendly apparently. Has went from Macc to Dover to FC United, then St Albans. Hopefully he's the clinical striker we so desperately need

Please take this to the regional forum, where it belongs. I know this sort of posting is normal among the Tin Potters, back to whom you are being fast-tracked this season but we REAL clubs are just embarrassed by stuff like this.
Cute puppy though. :ds:

Jason Taylor signed for AFC Fylde from Eastleigh yesterday and was on the bench for them last night.
Yet another player we should never have signed and has been extremely expensive having been out for the last 9 months injured. Probably played no more than 15 games for us in his time at the club & contributed very little in at least 14.8 of those games.
Another one off the wage bill, although no doubt we'll replace him with a 36 yr old journeyman.

Blyth Spartans have moved quickly to secure the signature of free agent Greg Rutherford - after the striker was released by Berwick Rangers last week.

The 23-year-old - who was named Scottish League Two Player of the Month back in March - joined Berwick in October 2016, but the former Hartlepool United youngster was forced to leave Berwick at the end of last month due to his teacher training commitments conflicting with professional football.

Wrexham fans, we've just signed Gerry Mcdonagh on loan. What's he like?

6 strikers we've got now, not including Connor Jennings who can play there. Imagine one or two will be going out on loan in the near future.

Gerry isn't good enough for this level to be honest. You'd think he was a powerhouse looking at him but in reality he's scared of jumping for a header and is easily bullied. Will be the 17th best striker on the Tranmere books.

Surprised with this given the calibre of forwards you already have. When he was with us, he was not that strong and didn't win many headers. He was useful for us though at a time when we were so poor last season, did score a few important goals.
I can't see him being an improvement at all on current Tranmere forwards, and is surely just another backup

We have signed former Macclesfield,FC Halifax and AFC Flyde centre back Steve Williams.

Half decent. Bit immobile from what I remember of his time at AFC Flyde?

Meanwhile, Chesterfield have recalled Ricky German which is a blow and not surprising.

We had him the season before last - fairly solid and will stick his head on everything, but prone to mistakes and yeah, not the most athletic.

He'll probably be available this summer, so get in the queue early to avoid disappointment.

Just saw that Whitehawk announced the signing of Dom Vose a few days ago. Far too good for them, although I'd question his mentality. Never seemed to settle anywhere. Great player on his day
