Notts don’t play well by controlling the ball or dominating the game - we control games as we did in that second half, could’ve been there for hours and you wouldn’t have scored without something like that from Alessandra.

If that 2nd half is you controlling the game id love to see what happens when you aren't, the 2nd half was more or less entirely Mansfield, though we annoyingly offered little upfront.

Neither side looked any good.

Exactly, bar Rose’s off target effort there wasn’t any real danger. Hall and Duffy lapped up the long balls all game, only looked trouble in first half with a few Mansfield triangles. Neither side looked good, but the home side certainly looked more likely to score in the game

None of this matters, 1-1. A point each

We never beat Mansfield

Flitcroft has turned an auto promotion side into well not one in 3 games

The point stands. I could of used Manchester instead (bigger city, Dodgy areas, more crime), but no need as Adam basically mentions in every other thread. He lives in Manchester you know not Mansfield, Manchester lol

Still find it amusing that Costa Del Stag quoted Arnold and Carlton as the big cities rough areas lol. I’d suggest a little too much sun for the old boy.

Totally agree with Conker it’s about NCFC and MTFC today on the BDO.

£100k sounds a great deal for Evans jumping ship at about the worst possible time and potentially derailing guaranteed promotion.

Good old fatty fat boy, maintaining his reputation in the footballing world during his brief stint in north Nottinghamshire
For such a well travelled man , you would realise torrevieja is costa blanca , stags deserved a point on effort alone notts didnt do enough to win it ,terrible game ,weather didnt help but a point apiece not to bad

devastated with that, if only we could have converted one of them second half chances, Mansfield really didn't look like scoring and will feel like a win for them. Nothing to fear if we get them in the playoffs.

I tend to travel a little further afield than Spain. Plus I had no idea where you were/are from, which kinda helps.

So will both sides finish in playoffs? Will one snatch 3rd? Either fall out altogether?

Thought we deserved to win that. Mansfield usually come fired up and kick us off the park but I thought we were the more physical side. Thought we did enough to win and Mansfield barely troubled us. No idea if it was a peon or not because of the snow. Draw could turn out to be a good result for both sides

I was never worried that Notts would score a second they never created a chance second half it was just a matter of if we could score got a break with the penalty will take the draw and move on

If Mansfield never troubled County (not far wrong) then County did definitely not trouble Mansfield.

Astonished by some comments on here, what a completely different set of expectations our two set of fans have.

Yep Conks looks like fans were watching two different games. Only about clear cut chances all game, a few dangerous crosses. Not much in it for me only difference is Notts adapted better to the conditions. And looked more like scoring , that’s it.

How anyone thinks Mansfield dominated either half is pure make believe . If that’s dominating a half of football, I’d hate to see an even balanced half for the Stags. I assume that’s just the last minute equaliser talking

I was totally surprised by how passive county were in the 2nd half, they sat back, only really got Into the box once or twice and mustn't have had much of the possession.

It's an annoying game by us, I'm not sure what's happened since the Coventry game, we've seemingly lost all confidence and attacking force, and I'm kinda concerned a little about flitcroft - and whether he's enough time to decide what he wants us to do.

It would have been a shame to have lost to that county performance, they were largely poor (like us) stead and amiobi were poor.

We told you that we've not been Upto much of late all week which you thought was a rouse, but it wasn't, we are that poor.

It was amusing though, thinking that county fans for once we're going to beat us, only to be denied in the 99th minute!

Haven’t Mansfield fans been moaning recently on here about sitting back and being passive after taking a lead?
I’m sure Stags have thrown away 1-0 leads in previous 2 or 3 games so it shouldn’t be too surprising Adam lol

I bet it’s a better night out in Nottingham than Mansfield tonight for St Patrick’s day

I never think it’s over till the referee blows, even if Collin’s first proper save was on the 97th minute . Yep dominate 2nd half for sure

It was all a bit naff really wasn't it? Not one bit of quality from either side all game. I suppose the conditions had an effect but both side were really poor, more like a mid-table battle than a promotion game. Nailed on pen btw, I was right in line. Silly from the defender.

Can only assume the snow blocked county fans views more than expected given what's been said.

Crap game, clearly both teams affected by the conditions. Would say the same about the pen, couldn't really tell from the kop end of the Pavis but I've not heard anyone say it shouldn't have been one aside from someone near me saying Alessandra was pushed into it - didn't see that myself.

Don't think we really did enough to win the game but still really frustrating to drop two points on (by most accounts I've seen/read) a stupid bit of defending by Alessandra. Didn't Tootle give away a stupid late penalty at Field Mill last year? Someone did, anyway.

We were always going to need to win some tough games after having a middling run in the easy part of the fixture list, and for me that's an opportunity missed. Can still get autos but we're likely relying on other teams dropping off or winning some games we won't be favoured in.

I am starting to think the bizarre recollection of the game by a lot of Magpies is due to them throwing a massive tantrum. Nolan is definitely one of them.

I understand it in some respects, the frustration that must come with the dismal record against Mansfield, and then finally thinking it’s all over we grab a equaliser in the 99th minute.

It will come to a end one day, hold it out.

Think that result is a bit of a disaster for Notts really. That goes a fair way to sinking both our chances of automatics.
Can't really argue that it wasn't a pel, but if the ref can find over a minutes overtime in seven extra time minutes , despite no stoppages or substitutions then that's the equivalent of playing roughly twelve minutes of extra time in a normal match without subs or physio.
Where'd the extra minute and a half come from?
Our strengths and weaknesses were to the fore today, soaked up pressure, defensively solid, and a tremendous work ethic, but lacking pace, created few chances and unable to put a game to bed by creating enough chances or having a top line striker.
Feels like a loss tonight.
Stags were moderate, but one defeat in sixteen and an away point at hard to win at Meadow Lane is a decent result that in the scheme of things.

The argument of injury time from Notts is null and void as they spent all the 2nd half (apart from us having the ball) rolling around and time wasting, the ball boys were brilliant at it.

It was rather amusing that ultimately the goal came purely down to Notts time wasting and in essence they shot themselves in the foot.

If Nolan needs to respond to radio Nottingham Why they didn't win, he just needs to say the above, as it was an obvious as the sun in the sky. No wonder he threw a wobbly when his dodgy antics found him wanting. The latest Notts manager (and there are many) who can't beat Mansfield.

Try again lad, I can understand why he was frustrated - 3 league games against Mansfield (and one in that daft cup) and no wins. Unlucky

Really don't get how that ends our automatic chance to be honest. Still plenty of games to go. Yes a win would have helped but wouldn't have gaurunteed it

Regarding the 9 minutes injury time, it's kinda obvious, there were 2 subs, some time wasting by Notts, a slight injury. This would easily add to another minute Ontop of the 7 given on 90 minutes. We were given the penalty on 8 and converted on 9. It's pretty simple.

And why would football benefit from Notts going up playing like you did? Are you stating that on that showing league 1 would benefit any more from Notts going up?

If so, you're delusional, being polite

Right this has gone bizarre. Any Stags or Notts fan tell me when before the 97th minute the home goalkeeper had to do anything? I mean a good save, a good punch ? Anything!

If Mansfield dominated the second half as has been suggested why no efforts on goal.

We never beat Mansfield we did in 80s and 90s lots no all the time now it reversed.

But we all know Evans for Flitcroft is a horrible swap, and guaranteed promotion has gone.

Oh and more Mansfield fans in Nottingham than Mansfield. Radford must of been sitting there Thinking why don’t all these turn up for home games?!

Lincoln and Chesterfield makes Mansfield look awful, you’ve only lost once at home. What’s the excuse? Haslam lmao

Well, this thread ended predictably.

Regarding Collin making a save, he made a pretty good one from a header in the last 10/15 minutes, I forget who from.

Don't get the 'must have thought you'd finally beat Mansfield' thing - I've seen us beat Mansfield 7 or 8 times!

But as for the discussion re today, surely the 7 mins came from Pearce and Rose's injuries?

Disappointing in the silly way it came about, but would have taken a point at the start of the day (today for us was must not lose, rather than must win) especially in easily the worst conditions I've watched a game in in 25+ years - good chance to make up for not picking up 3 points against bottom of the league next week.

Some posters seem to either not read the posts or get confused by them, but it's hard to say which is which.

All Mansfield fans said we had the better of the 2nd half - that much was obvious - the BBC said the same - but of course it would do, anyone there who knew anything about football would see that, unless you were confused. What we also said was that we were poor upfront and didn't create much. However, throughout the match the chances for both teams were pretty even.

I was so concerned that we'd let ourselves down and finally lose to Notts, but determination finally showed with a stupid and ridiculously funny handball for us to get a deserved point.

Even with the weather that was very, very poor from both sides.

I would be very surprised if us or County took third. County seem to be lacking a bit of something which I suspect is pace and I am not convinced that Flitcroft is the man to get Mansfield over the line.

That’s all marvellous stuff Adam but you said ‘dominated’, which is as about as funny as the handball. Dominated?

Agree with Stringy, Notts missing something, most Notts fans on here have said we’ve not been good since the New Year. And yes , Flitcroft has been very unconvincing . Taking the leagues second form team with upward momentum and then failing to win in his first three games is impressive stuff.
