Quite like the concept behind a possessed doll. Unfortunately the movie was poor for the most part.

Willow Creek
Bit too slow for me. Nothing really happens until the last five minutes.

Annabelle was a prequel to The Conjuring wasn't it? I enjoyed The Conjuring it had some scsry scenes.

Superb. It really is. This is the best horror film I've seen in a very long time. No need for any excessive blood, or reliance on jump-scares. I found the ending especially satisfying.

9/10

The little kid screaming got right on my tits. Couldn't enjoy the film because of his relentless noise. But, I will be buying the book when it comes out!

I must admit he did my head in at first but I got used to it, and Mrs. Jarvis works in a nursery so it was was like every day to her, haha.

A Most Violent Year & Wild are next on my watch list anyone seen either yet ?

No but do let me know what you think of Wild. It's a film I definitely want to watch, I've heard good things about it.

I finished watching the three-part TV film Generation War (Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter). A fictional World War II tale from the German perspective. Before they head off in their respective directions, five friends promise to meet up soon. "Christmas in Berlin", nothing will change.
Except a war gets in the way and causes all sorts of complications.

It's on Netflix, each episode is 90 minutes. All three are excellent.

I'm watching it this Sunday so I'll try to remember to post on here too.

I found this series really good and will probably watch it again at some point. It was good to see it from a different perspective although I did read some criticism when I looked it up after. In particular people were unhappy with how the Polish Armia Krajowa were portrayed.

Excellent watch though.

A somewhat unkown film I would suspect with a fantastic lineup of British talent, A tale of friendship love and loss. Its a shame these films go under the radar.

8/10.

I enjoyed the book. Had no idea there was a film. I'll have to look it up

Cyberbully (2015)

It was on channel 4 last week, starring Masie Williams (Arya Stark to Game of Thrones fans) as a teenager who is forced to do a computer hackers bidding, otherwise he will post naked photos of her online.

Just finished work so I have a month or so off before I start my new job as paperwork is being processed, so I've found myself with plenty of time to watch films.

Birdman - Spectacular. Didn't really think much going in to it, but really fun. Keaton could potentially sneak the Oscar for best actor!

Big Hero 6 - Usual Disney film. Excellent soundtrack though and possibly one of the most loveable Disney characters for sometime in the form of Baymax.

Brilliant isn't it, watched it in a day. The best WWII TV I've seen.

What We Do In The Shadows

Excellent little mockumentary style comedy from New Zealand. Follows the lives of 3 vampires going about their 'normal' lives. Some genuine laugh out loud moments with all 3 leads adding something different.

Flight

Seen this on Netflix and kept debating it. Finally took the plunge and after what started promisingly, I was bored after the first 20-30 minutes after the incident. Just him drinking all the time. Fell asleep through it twice.

Taken 3
It's alright, it's better than Taken 2 but not even close to Taken. I hope to pretend God they don't make any more, this had too many PG style action scenes that weren't particularly exciting. It's watchable but don't expect anything as fun as the first one. 6/10... Just.

I agree! Very good film that maintained that humour throughout. Nice to see 2/3rds of Flight Of The Conchords in there too!

The Fault In Our Stars - Josh Boone

I really enjoyed this, better than your average film about cancer patients....! I thought the two leads were good and had a little twist that I didn't see coming.

Predestination

I genuinely can't decide what to make of this. I completely understand the film. I'm just not sure whether I think it was very well made, or a complete waste of my time.

Not really my sort of film as I'm not one who is interested in amateur wrestling and didn't know much of the story about John Du Pont, but Steve Carrell does a fantastic job at playing the egotist. Not a film I'd watch again and it was far longer than it needed to be.

The Interview

I watched it while smokin alot of bud, found it hilarious. However I dunno how far my sense of humour was distorted, so I'll go 7/10

The Equaliser

Disappointing. Too much BS drama for my liking. 6/10

John Wick

Good movie. About the son of Russian gangster that goes and nicks the wrong dude's car and unleashes saink he wasn't ready for. 8/10

A Lonely Place To Die - Julian Gilbey

Entertaining thriller about a group of rock climbers (??) that find a young girl trapped in the woods. As they hurry to get her to safety, a duo hunt them down. Melissa George was pretty good and the script was decent. A couple of questions left unanswered - who where the "other guys"?? - but enjoyable nevertheless.

American Sniper - 7/10.

Good fun storyline, enough action for a mission on COD. I quite like Bradley Cooper, though you could tell he had built himself to portray a soldier and instead of toning himself, he made himself look podgy. Wasn't keen on the abrupt ending to the film, but I enjoyed it overall.

Taken next.

I watched the much anticipated, world war initiating, banned comedy flick The Interview. It's an expansive comedy featuring jokes about both willies and bums.
