I remember hinchcliffe at Flyde away. He was crap at kicking then! The only good kick he made led to the goal!

I also don't think Jansen was being ungratious, why would any Manager openly say that other teams players were better than his own. Probably didn't come over too well but he was just standing by his squad.

Really enjoyed the trip to the new ground. An interesting design with no hint of the identikit design some clubs end up with on new builds. A pleasure to have a pint and occasionally a smoke but still be intrusted to watch football. Probably the best ever football pie too.

Onto the football and was most surprised to be a goal up with the amount of injuries and off the back of the Halifax capitulation. Without meaning any Ill I expected more from fylde. Awful goal keeping howler and some odd subs by Weaver and we could still have nicked a draw. That said I did expect you lot to smash us second half and could have happened.

Good to see some of your lot say we were the best away support so far. What we lacked in numbers the hundred or so make up in noise.

The stadium is very poorly designed. The height to depth ratio of the stands makes the roofs little more than a decorative touch, they certainly won't provide any protection against the weather. Also, what the Tin Potters call "good" support bears no relation to the criteria applied by the real clubs. They probably mean you were very polite and formed an orderly queue at the Tea Hut. :bdick:

Well I wouldn't expect him to, but he wasn't asked a question that needed him to go down that road, he didn't have to make comparisons. Oh well he has just done Gannon's team talk for the return fixture.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Its a big 6 days coming up for us at Curzon being 4th bottom, we have 2 home games and the bottom 3 are playing each other so this week if we still struggle to grab some points the gap will certainly be closed a wee bit.

i don't see alot from Monday, this league is very much split in half this season and we are not taking anything off sides at the top, but taking all our points off sides in bottom half of table.........have a very unfortunate fixture list this season which has seen all our home games apart from Telford be vs sides in the top half, but thankfully away form has kept us away from the hideous form the bottom 3 are currently in.

Monday is for me abit of 'hope for the best', putting in a performance, if we can grab a point, next sat is more interesting as Gainsborough visit who are one of them bottom half sides you seem to need to take points from this season if also in the bottom half.

saying that i won't rule monday out completely, you never know Chorley may be about to hit a bad run of form (like Salford) and other sides have grabbed a odd win vs a top half side.......just hasn't happened much this season.

You are right not to rule out Monday, I am not taking anything for granted, just hope we can perform to our more normal level after yesterday's disappointing performance. The team will be looking to make amends and hopefully we will get back to winning ways.

Just watched Gannons interview and thought what he said was spot on, I would make one point, I thought the interviewer was much better than the one who did Jansen, his questions were much more concise. Good listen.

Why do Curzon play on a Monday?

Also at Alty 0-2 Telford United. Thought, we bossed this from start to finish, hit the woodwork 3 times in the first half as well as missing some very good chances, could have been 4 or 5 in the end.
Good luck to Alty for the rest of the season, nice ground, friendly locals, just sort out your team, as that is worst Alty team I've seen in 30 years.

Why do Curzon play on a Monday?

Have no clue at all as only followed them the Las 8 months.

It may be a way to dodge playing with a man city\United on....worked against them last week, works for them this week.

Curzon 1-1 Chorley.

Probably about right at the moment, a big contrast in styles with Curzon trying to pass it to death vs Chorley who try and play numerous long balls over the defence for their forwards to run onto. It has meant Curzon dominated possesion, but Chorley get in better positions.

Very even most of the half, Chorley scored early from a pen when a player brought down when running at goal. Curzon responded in possession, but neither created much, probs 2 good chances each. Chorley really went on top last 5 minutes of half and nearly got second before Curzon equilised with an excellent finish.

Curzon playing well, but drive you insane, I commend the all passing approach, but at times we have 5 players on left wing passing it about trying to create a perfect ball to the one lone player in box who has 5 defenders on him and no chance!

Chorley approach is direct, but brought them close afew times, we need to keep playing this offside trap well.

Cracking second half so far, both sides have come out to just 'go for it'

Finished 1-1 a great point for us. Thought we were going to lose it at the end, then win it.

Fair result, both sides had chances, second half was alot more open but still pretty even. Think Chorley needed that second really to kill us off, but once level it was anyone's match to win.

Thanks for your comments BigDave, not able to get to game last night but listened on Radio, we are in need of a natural goal scorer but they are as common as hens teeth. Not sure why we made some of the changes last night, I guess some must be down to knocks but strange to have Blakeman on bench and play bloody O'Keefe! Onwards to Saturday at Alfreton.

Fair summary. Didn't think Curzon looked anywhere near as fluid as they were against York.
Strange at the end, CA supporting woman in front was nervously calling for the final whistle whilst I was thinking they could have won it. Great save by the home goalie towards the end though.

Chorley need to try staying onside though....wow how many times were they offside in the first half.

That is one massive game at Alty tonight. For BPA you could argue the next 5 days could end their conf north status if it goes wrong and this is already, even this early their last chance.

Mind Alty are doing so poorly a failure to win tonight would be unthinkable

Can't bring myself to make the trip tonight, after Saturday's display.

We beat BPA, narrowly, by 1-0 on Saturday but it should have been 4 or 5. Missed a ton of sitters, need Hopper back. That said other than a few in their side, Bradford weren't as bad as their league position would make you think and we had a few nervy moments of our own. I can see them beating Altrincham tonight....(Cue 6 nil win for Alty)

I see Calvin Dinsley has left Gloucester to sign for Hereford on loan. Gloucester fans was he actually any good?

Did well when he was here last season but went off the boil big time in this one, apparently he's not really mixing with the players as much and stuff so was the right thing to do. Seems to have done well at Hereford but then they are pissing the league.

2-3 now, commentary states Sinclair has missed 2 sitters for BPA too

Ah well, £14 saved at least. We're going to do a Hyde.

We're actually getting bigger crowds than we did during the season we got promoted, too. Not sure how that's happening.
