Just taking a look at the relegation battle and Gosport have a real chance looking at their remaining fixtures - (Weston (H) Welling (A) Bishops S (A) Oxford C (H) Concord (A) Whitehawk (H)

We might all get our wish and Shitehawk may go!

Let's hope so! Does anybody know if the owners have stopped pumping the money in there? Seems like the calibre of player they have been bringing in recently is more in line with their home crowds.

Good support that Aber, similar to what we took there I believe.

Hampton's last home crowd was 500 ish and they had just over 1,000 yesterday. Is it wrong to assume we had 500 there? 250-350 possibly more likely, although there could have been more I guess!

Very good that, of course the away followings will ratchet up now with things on the line. 300-350 is more likely to be accurate as international breaks get more casual fans out to non-league games.

I'll say it in advance, good luck getting a ticket at Maidenhead when they segregate York Road and give you 500 max.

Yeah, that I'm not looking forward to. Managed it when Maidstone only gave us 250 due to using somebody's season ticket, but doubt I'd get so lucky.

We'd take over a thousand if allocated for a game like that. Managed 2,000 for Farnborough in the play off final which, in essence, could be the same thing.

Do they only have one set of turnstiles?

Good news is, next time you play us you'll get around 800 tickets! Come join us in the National ;)

There are 2 sets of turnstiles at York Road, 1 by the club house and the other behind the 'Bell End' terrace behind the end closest to the station

We shall try! :bg: 6 wins from 6 games should see us up!

Fair enough, I'd like to think they'd be generous and give us more, but I doubt it!

There's no should about it, with your 6 pointer against Maidenhead still to come, if you win all 6 games the very worst you can do is going up on goal difference, now get up here and bring Dartford with you so we can rename it the Kent Elite League ;)

Our run in is fairly kind, but you have to wonder how long we can keep this form up for... whatever happens, we've had a tremendous start to the year. It'll be close, that's for sure! Bath away for them on Saturday won't be easy!

POOLE Town are set to receive the green light to keep their place in National South, the Daily Echo can exclusively reveal.

The Dorset club’s step two status was in jeopardy due to issues surrounding their Tatnamheadquarters.

And they were facing the prospect of being demoted back to the Southern League unless they could find £70,000 to get the ground up to scratch by the end of this month.

The newly-named Black Gold Stadium was today inspected by officials from the Football Association and they look likely to recommend it for a category B grading.
Poole have had to carry out extensive improvements to the venue including installing low-level terracing, re-positioning a floodlight and putting in extra turnstiles.

The total cost of the project is around £170,000 with no facility for the club to receive a grant from the Football Foundation as it only has eight years left on its lease and there has to be a minimum of 10.

Poole, currently fifth in National South, still have one major hurdle to overcome should they reach the play-offs for promotion to the National League – just one division from the Football League.

According to National League requirements, to qualify for promotion and to participate in the play-offs, clubs must achieve a category B grading and have 500 seats under cover by the March 31 deadline.

However, while this could be a stumbling block as Poole do not have the required number of seats under cover, it is believed this regulation is over and above FA ground-grading rules. Should Poole fall foul of this, it is understood they would appeal.

In 2011, Eastwood Town finished fourth in Conference North but were denied a play-off place as their 500 seats were in three stands and their spot went to Nuneaton, the next team below.

''The National League board is due to meet tomorrow and Dolphins are set to be contacted afterwards over whether they are eligible for the play-offs.
Reeves added: "If they tell us we can't participate, then we would have to consider an appeal to the FA."

So Wealdstone should find out tomorrow whether their season is over or not.....

Joe, i still cant get my head around why you ever let Stuart Lewis leave. Hes been bloody immense for us and one of the reasons why we turned our season around.

Really hoping we sign him permanently in the summer.

Pleased to see he's doing well as he's one of our ex players. A lovely guy off the pitch but wasn't Football League standard for me and had a bad habit of picking up red cards.

What happened Aber?!

4th away game missed this season, but our record against Eastbourne is abysmal. 6 games against them since we've come into this league, drawn 2 and lost the other 4 with a goal difference of -11 by my reckoning. At least I knew they were our bogey side unlike the bookies so made some money from it, silver lining and all that....

Just seen the highlights and the reactions from our defence are non-existent which is rather worrying. Eastbourne were ruthless whilst we weren't, hitting the crossbar three times and having two cleared off the line. Season over now and our goal difference is embarrassingly bad, let's just play 4-3-3 for the rest of the season and see what that brings.

I'm still stumped, but considering the form we've been on in 2017, you can't argue with the decision.

Fleet 5-1 Welling. Att: 1,767 I think. Our crowds continuing to improve, and the ploughend atmosphere is getting better again too. Was nonstop all game yesterday but the second half in particular was fantastic.

After a poor first 10-15 mins, we dominated and could have had more. Good job our GD is slightly better than Maidenhead's, who also racked up a 5-1 win away at Bath.

5 cup finals left, Truro away next week. Should be 100 or so Fleet fans down there.

Apparently Poole are gonna appeal if they ain't allowed to take part in the playoffs and have already contacted a lawyer.

All seems pointless considering they struggled to get permission and raise the funds to get the stadium up to 3000. If they go up it will be an even bigger struggle to get it up to a 4000 capacity.

It'll just be rinse and repeat if they go up.

As much as I agree with ground needing to be up to standard, this is a kick in the bollocks for clubs such as Poole who are doing well on merit. Not every club has the money to upgrade their facilities, but they should be able to compete if they've got there.

Gosport the same, before their money problems. The squad they had, they could have made it to National level, but they wouldn't have been able to compete, IMO, as their ground is shite.

Cruel world, unfortunately.

Problem with Tatnam was that until these new redevelopment works had taken place, there was only hard terracing around the ground with the exception of the main stand and another small seated stand so even though there was 663 I believe when we played there before Christmas, it felt cramped. 4,000 would be nigh on impossible unless the local school gave them permission to build on the school field side.

Keep Poole down anyway, friendly club, brought a decent following to ours and it was a decent away day too. I'd prefer it when the weather was warm next season mind.

Looks like we'll be getting one of Braintree, Maidstone, Torquay and Woking next season. Torquay ideally on the proviso that they don't go bust and both home and away games are on a Saturday but it would be a travesty for a traditional football league club to be playing in step 6 (yes I know Stockport have been stuck at this level for a few years now).

Those coming up from the Southern League look decent too, Chippenham are certs but I'd be more than happy for Hitchin, Merthyr or Slough to join them. Got a lot of time for those 3 clubs, Hitchin would be the preference given that I love Top Field as a ground, 15 minute drive from here and the Canaries are probably the most welcoming football club that I've visited.

As for the Ryman, Bognor and Dulwich please. Which means we'll get Havant and Billericay.

This is looking like it will be the season where all the things that you expect to happen but never do, finally happen. The North London thing could happen (not going to say it will for fear of cursing it), Sunderland should going down, Brighton should go up, the 2 biggest sides in League 1 (Sheff Utd and Bolton) look like finally getting out of there, Plymouth and Portsmouth look like they're getting out of league 2, Hartlepool could drop into non-league at last, one of Tranmere and Lincoln at least is getting back in the Football League, and Southport are going down.

TL;DR - I think it's safe to bet on Fleet and Dulwich both getting promoted this year. As last year was the year of underdogs, this year is the one of the expected.

Not segregated and not (currently) all ticket, but we've been given 600 to sell in advance and they will also be doing advanced sales.

Strange all round, if you ask me.

Truro are hosting both Ebbsfleet and Maidenhaead in their next two home games. It might decide the title winners?

Will need therefore to get at least 5 points from the games against Welling, Hemel and Stortford to probably stay up.

Hemel on Saturday, most of the Gun Turret end closed off for redevelopment works and soft segregation in place. They'll win, probably shithousing it like we did at Vauxhall Road back in November.

No real surprises there. One of the nicest guys in football, and very good at what he does.
I know a lot of Stones keep going on about it, and we still are surprised he wasn't part of your plans, but given your form it's worked out well for us both. Win win!
