Good decent side Sutton are, and they could've earned a replay but for some poor finishing from their forwards and our keeper David Forde pulling off a couple of decent saves. Now I know why they're up there in the standings. Best of luck for your league campaign.

Seems the FA Cup is just as easy as the National League.

Agreed. Your side was far better than ours and as your PA guy said at the end of the game, you "walked through to the next round". But we did make several changes from our normal first choice team so guessing Askey wasn't too bothered about a cup run this year anyway.
Which seems daft to me, as I'm sure Askey would like an extra player or two later in the season.

Worst case scenario is that you lose and your full strength side play one game more, so I'm not really sure what you gain by not playing them all. No midweek game either.

Not sure if serious. It's great that they have basically 2 days where they cover these early rounds and then put all highlights instantly up on the website as well as the complete highlights show that has just been on BBC2. They could easily sack it off and just start their coverage in the 3rd round.

I don't think any money from cup runs goes into the playing budget. Last season the FA Cup money we got went towards paying off a loan from our owner so it's not like the team's going to get any better if we have a good run this season.

And also I think the club are kind of afraid of a repeat of last season where we had a decent run and ended up having half of our team bought off us in January. We hardly got any money from the player sales and the time we spent finding replacements for them really affected our play off push.

The Dartford v Swindon game caught my eye. All the goals were proper clinical finishing, ruthless stuff from Swindon.

Apparently Woking have been testing their under-declaring turnstiles ahead of their game against us on New Year's Day....

Away to the Milton Keynes side, worst draw possible. At least we'll have the neutral support.

Not even close to the worst draw possible, Not good by any means, but not the worst.

IF we do manage to scrape through our replay with Accrington we will travel to Mansfield a former Paul Cox managed club. I'm sure he'll be right up for that.

Chorley proving to be marginally the better of the two Tin Pot outfits on display this evening. :bdick:

Got a lot of time for Chorley, unlike bastard clubs like Fleetwood, they've EARNED their progression up the leagues. :bdick:

So so unlucky today against a very poor Fleetwood side, totally undeserved.

Got slot of time for fleetwood too. Invest on and off the pitch. The quality shone through in the end. Liked A coles son
