Big news for North Ferriby today. They have new owernship as Jamie Waltham has taken over and left the club Debt Free,

Please for them as they have suffered two awful seasons. Hopefully they can now rebuild next season in the Northern Premier.

I think they have a couple more suffering seasons yet.

Its another Histon or Canvey Island.....a club far far too small for this level, totally unprepared to deal with that situation without money because it spent its way up the league, so therefore wont probably stabilize until it drops down to a level more suited to re-build.

the positives for them is similar to Histon/Canvey their spending owners have at least left them without debts so they can re-build correctly and most of all have their ground which many of these types of clubs end up losing.

Terrible news for them. Guy has already mooted moving them to north Hull, so may as well say RIP North Ferriby. He looks a bit of a spiv too IMHO, exactly the sort of character to erase football from this great location and 80 years of history with his shiny one quid.

Anyone know who own their ground? Probably one of the most characterful approaches to a football ground in the UK.

I'd gone with Boston or Southport.....based on that new manager....new players syndrome.

I liked the ground very characterful approach, a bit like our old feethams ground; it's small like, and being bordered by a railway line, it's somewhat inaccessible.
So the coaches cannot get to the ground, so the last part of the journey is carried out on foot.
It's a shame about North Ferriby, I'm just glad I visited Grange Lane.

Right before we play them.....typical.

although i do not think a change in manager is going to do much.......too much to rebuild and no money.

Ouch.......the usual mid season bad news for us.

Steve how don leaves us for Southport. Been very good in central defence for us this season, type of player Southport need

This is the real annoyingly frustrating aspect of following the smallest side in division......anyone plays well they are gone to rivals in 6 months for nowt

So the new NFU chairman has sacked Steve Housham.
In one respect, he did a decent job.

Last season to get them so far without even being relegated because their squad was way, way short of anything resembling a National League squad but this season, to have pretty much the same record with scoring very few but conceding a fair amount isn't acceptable. They can't be *that* bad again, surely?

Kotwica has signed for Tamworth so they've got their Styche replacement in quickly.

Jemfy

So Nabil Shariff has mysteriously left 3 weeks after signing today and joined Southern Premier side St Neots Town.

not sure what to think. I see he is based in Milton Keynes? Is it the commute or has he had a bust up with John. Got a funny feeling it may be the latter. Still dont think we are a happy camp. Thought he did well on debut in a tough and high tempo game v Salford but hasnt had much of a look in at all since.

Totally thankless task for big Steve. This new chairman already looking like a right so and so.
Has a chequere past. He set up Hull United AFC who had serious disclipine issues both on and off the field and where docked a hat full of points for fielding ineligible players week in week out in the NCEL. After they went pop he has recently been chairman at NCEL club East Yorkshire Carnegie.

We have brought in some defensive cover - young defender Alex Cover on loan from Derby for a month.....sorry couldnt resist.

One out too as striker Brody Robertson has left the club and rejoined Cleethorpes. Wont be missed as he is simply not up to the league, so its interesting to hear there was interest in him from another Conference North club?!

Adam Bolder is the new manager at NFU then. They have signed striker Brett Agnew from Bridlington today too,

This weekends games

Alfreton v Bradford PA
Blyth Spartans v Salford
Boston v York
Brackley v Stockport
Chorley v Leamington
FC United v Harrogate
Kidderminster v Gainsbrough
North Ferriby v Nuneaton
Spennymoor v Telford
Tamworth v Southport

Some interesting match ups this weekend

As for us we are a shambles but if we can shit house our way to 3 points 26 points from 20 games wouldnt be too bad.

To be fair we are due a win against Bradford after 3 consective tight 1-0 losses and no win in 6. Here`s hoping.

We have a manage who doesnt have the players on side, is clueless in the transfer market and is tactically naive...er yeah not great.

Wouldnt be surprised though if the game is called off for a frozen pitch though.

Unfortunately no game for us this coming Saturday, we should have been playing Curzon Ashton but some clown brought the game forward.

So we need an act of kindness this weekend from the likes of........Harrogate, Kiddy, Chorley and Tamworth to do us a good turn. Plz!!!

Urgh! Brackley away. One of the least desirable places to go.....especially in December!

Think we'll get beat, although I said that least season and we won 3-0!!

Good win away at Southport in the FAT on Wednesday night, but we all know Brackley are different gravy to Southport, beating Salford 4-0 last weekend!

I'd definitely take a point!

I'd rather be in Brackley than Stockport....
