Stripes a bit thicker? After looking at that training kit so long not sure I'm best placed to judge but looks good to me.

You can't go wrong with Hummel in fairness and, horrible lime green aside, that is a fantastic kit.

Both of those are a bit of a clash with our kit in my opinion.

Hang on, just read this in the press release:
A star is printed above the player name to signify the club’s promotion to the Football League in 2017, with two stars greyed-out to represent the chairman Dale Vince’s ambition to reach the Championship in the coming seasons.
Fucking hell. Someone else can post to tinpot.

Ffs. :ffs:

I don't mind a bit of BULLISHNESS, but that's another level.

Why?

I like both FGR kits, particularly the away one.

Yeah, never buy kits but could see me actually wearing the away one. Also realised the stars are over the names on the back not the badge which is slightly (slightly) less shit.

The away Brown kit looks great. I could wear that out.

Imagine celebrating promotion to lge 2 like you have won the World Cup. Nevermind pretending you have already won 2 more.

Ffs.

Does that beat Yeovil's(?) stars last season? Probably.

Definitely tops our effort last season. At least we've had the sense to ditch ours.

Having said that Darren Way has had the club motto on his training tops changed from Achieve By Unity to Overachieve By Unity.

Dale Vince really does outdo himself every year doesn't he? From saying it'll be easier to get promoted from League 2 than the Conference, to now pre-empting promotions to the Championship.

The fact that FGR fans are embarrassed by this tells its own story I think.

FGR absolutely pulling out all the stops in this thread. Thanks for making such a usually crap thread decent.

The responses to the Tweet I posted from the FGR fans are brilliant as well.

It says something for a club when they completely alienate their fanbase in order to get people talking about them.

Seems a bit censored in Nailsworth. Not just the above, but isn't your Club Forum moderated by someone within the Club and posts/topics get deleted if they don't fall in line with their thinking?

The local paper seem quite cosy and pander to them as well.

Sure the FGR boys will correct me if I'm wrong, but the forum is an official one, so is very much censored by the club.

Regarding the paper, I can't speak for the Stroud News and Journal, but the club have banned Gloucestershire Live reporters before because they dared to report on rumours surrounding transfers between FGR and Cheltenham.

What that has led to, of course, is a belief that Gloucestershire Live is very pro Cheltenham (the main reporter is a self-confessed Cheltenham fan) and anti-FGR. It's hard to argue about this at times, but FGR (the hierarchy and not the fans, I hasten to add) really make it easy for Gloucestershire Live.
