Tranmere have made this a reserved ticket game.

This makes the capacity in the region of 15,000.

However FGR will bring at most 400 /2200 so in reality it’s 13,200 at most if the home end sells out.

Wonder if we can split the Cowsheds in half somehow, let home fans in via the paddock or something.

I don't see why it's been made all ticket. Forest Green aren't going to fill the Cowsheds, so it just makes things more difficult for Rovers fans who are not Wirral based.

You can buy online and print at home? Order over the phone?

They’ve clearly made it all ticket as they expect to get close to selling out.

Yes, it makes absolute sense for the game to be all ticket. We missed out on a lot of income from the Spurs match due to the unreserved seating and while I would not expect demand to be as high for this match, it is possible.

If nothing else, we need the additional capacity to counter the empty seats in the away end, as was discussed previously.

Boz, you can download the ticket onto your phone and they'll scan it (or just print it out).

Reserved seating makes a lot of sense and also helps us folk who like sitting/standing in a particular seat, as you don't have to turn up early to stop the day trippers (or Forest Green fans who don't want to feel lonely) from pinching it. Also, hopefully we'll get somewhere close to selling out the home ends.

Due to the Bury game being postponed, I wasn't able to renew my season ticket in person. Tried to renew online yesterday, the transaction seemingly went through, but then the site crashed and haven't had an acknowledgement e-mail yet and have e-mailed the club to find out what's going on. It's not the first time I've had problems with the TYG ticket system.

There was ample time to organise reserved seating for the Spurs game, but the club chose not to. There doesn't seem to even be a priority window for season ticket holders for this game. I'll see if can order by phone on Tuesday

Can’t really do a priority system with only 4 working days before the game for them to organise things. I think they’ve got the settup right for this one.

The TYG system is crap and needs to be binned. I have had to use three different email addresses to get access to the site, because it crashed when I bought tickets using the first two.

I tried saying this on the cowsheds and got shot down for it. Try clearing your internet cache, seemed to help me.

I don't think so.

It's very frustrating though. I break even on my season ticket as can't make most midweek games, so would expect a fair crack at getting a home play-off ticket. As RLC says, the TYG system isn't fit for purpose.

What could they have done differently to make it easier for you to get a ticket though and how many thousand would they lose if they put a season ticket priority in place?

There are 13,000 tickets available to home fans, so every regular supporter that wants one will get one.

This. Tranmere fans have to moan about something though.

If there are that many tickets available for home supporters, it wouldn't have hurt to hold back the 5k or so season tickets seats for open sale until Wednesday, if there are still 8k available for other Rovers fans. Guess it wouldn't be economic to open the ticket office tomorrow.

If I can't get a home ticket on the night, perhaps they'll be available in the away end and can sit with Chris FGR and pals :bg:

They won’t sell out by Wednesday don’t worry. Plus as you say there’ll be 2,000 empty seats in the away end.

If Norwood signs his £800,000 three year contract Tranmere offered him I’m sure people would moan about that too.
After the ultimately incorrect rumours about him signing up in January I'm wary about this untilthe picture of Nors pen in hand appears on the official site!

Not incorrect yet. I said he’d signed it and it was being announced after season end. See what happens!

It would, because three days of general sales would be lost, and it would be far more difficult for the club to capitalise on the current excitement and plug the game.

It would be a logistical nightmare as well. The ticket office staff would be overrun if we tried to sell 8-10,000 general sale tickets in two and a half days.

Why?

Biggest games we've ever been involved in, highest ever finish, record crowd yesterday, South Stand was rocking. If you can't enjoy times like these it begs the question why bother?

I can't bloody wait, the lads have done brilliant this season and I'm looking forward to giving them my full backing next week.

We could be going to Wembley for the third time in four years. Not many fans get to see their club do that.
