That really could have been (and maybe should have been) 6 or 7-0. We're pretty shit ourselves, but Bradford are utter gash.

Five wins out of six in the league for Luton in October and up to 5th place, what a month! Got to admit they are comfortably exceeding my expectations for this season so far.

Can't believe we sat back today. Lucky to hold on to the win as we let Doncaster have the ball for the whole second half.

Extremely happy to get the 5th win on the bounce.

That is absolutely hideous by Bradford, I thought we were shit the first half of 15/16 but that's taking the biscuit.

Morale boosting 3 points today despite the referee's best efforts - good to see us grind out a win after two crappy defeats in the last 7 days.

Absolute dog shit football on display from both sides, really painful to watch. Three points though so not gonnna moan too much.

Which is some effort given we were playing 100 miles up the M1

Hit the bar.
Miss a penalty.
Hit the post.
Have 2 goals disallowed.

Lose 1-0.

I love football.

Jesus fucking Christ Bradford by the way.

Funny old game eh? I honestly think that both teams could lay claim to being the worthy winners. Dale missed (or had saved) at least 4 clear cut chances from open play, whilst our Keeper was at fault for conceeding the penalty and then pulled off a decent save from a not very good spot kick.

Charlton hit the top of the bar in the first half, and the post in the second half. First disallowed goal was very close...will wait to see it again. second one was a good 3 or 4 seconds after the whistle had been blown.

How bloody cold was it ?? Jeezus wept. Winter is back.

Finally, the referee was hopeless...for both teams. Utterly inept.

Just noticed the two teams that defeated us quite easily last week both lost today to teams we spanked 4-0 not long ago. Funny old game.

Wasn’t there so couldn’t say either way, followed through the Charlton Twitter (admittedly biased) Not complaining about the result, we’re so close to being a really good side but too inconsistent and ultimately we just struggle to put teams to the sword or make any pressure count which will be why we miss out again this season.

Think of the best sex you have ever had, thats how good Fleetwood were in the first 25 minutes. They tore into Blackpool and played them off the park. Two quality goals and then typical Fleetwood, could'nt defend a cross and the visitors were back in it

Second half an inspired substitution by Barton, Paddy Madden comes on and scores a superb goal, Tangerines back in it through shite defending from Morgan ( Bolger, just get back some form and you will be a regular ) tbh after this Fleetwood never looked in real danger and history was written . Leaving the ground the Chairman was up in the balcony beaming like the proverbial Cheshire cat, me I'm having an early night, coming love......

Wimbledon looked absolutely dire today, completely devoid of any ideas. They never had a shot at home and we were hardly at our fluid best (first half especially).

Proper scrappy up until our first goal, we played well thereafter as the game opened up as we often tend to. We're very dangerous when games are stretched so scoring first is massively important to us, we often labour against determined deep defensive blocks.

Never looked like losing today. Wimbledon matched our diamond and tried to stop us playing which worked first half. We still had a couple of chances but we took time to get into the game. Second half we upped the tempo and fully deserved the win. Hyltons penalty miss will annoy the hell out of NJ. Tried the same last season I remember and thought he learnt his lesson. Fortunately for Hylts the miss wasn't costly. Thought defensively we were excellent today not that Wimbledon tried too hard to make a game of it. Long balls up to their strikers and lacking any attacking sense meant it was up to us to break the deadlock. Pelly and Shinnie had excellent games again. Wimbledon on this display look relegation material. Rare to see a team at home sit back as much as they did and try to nullify our game. They had no desire to win and from the outset it was clear they were playing for the draw. Must be a worry for the Wimbledon fans to watch that week in week out.
Compared to how we have played of late this performance was slightly below par but yet we still won comfortably. A good sign perhaps.

Cods v Blackpool

Game had everything you could wish for, local rivarly, passionate sets of fans, good goals, lots of tension. Even had a fair amount of aggro, on the field, on the touchline ( NO Barton walked away from it), after the game (personally did not witness any but suspect those involved could not have mustered a pube between them). Cods outstanding the first 20 minutes or so but then allowed Pool to come back into the game. Credit to Pool the team did not give up.

We’ve had an absolutely blinding month. 7 wins out of 8 and we are flying.

Only a third of the season gone and were 5 points off the automatics. Dare we dream? If we’re in a similar place around Christmas why the hell not. In January we have the same hellish set of fixtures as we did in August so that could well tell us. It’s just good to be competing with those “big 4” above.

Next 4 games v Rochdale, Plymouth, Gillingham and Bradford. We could easily get another 10 points from that group. If we win them all we go to 2ppg.

Another 3 points and good performance against Southend without getting out of second gear, after each game the oppositions fans forums have a general theme about us being not that good, for example after we beat them the shrewsbury fans were looking forward to their tougher test against Barnsley on the Tuesday which saw Barnsley get 3 points less than we got at Shrewsbury. Donny fans blamed the ref for us winning even though their players went down at every opportunity in a bid to get us down to ten men (the ref was weak in all fairness). Southends fans also said we weren’t that great and in all fairness if Southend had been more clinical the score may have been different but we done the job and got 3 big points.

So if we aren’t playing that great then can’t wait to see us at full strength, been without Charlie Wyke, Duncan Watmore long term, had Power, Oviedo out with suspensions, had a few regulars out recently including Maja against Donny and he come off the bench today so to sum it up then we can only get stronger. Tbh after the turmoil of the last few years i was expecting a slow start to the new regime so i’m very happy with how it’s going so far and hopefully we can get out of this tough league at the first time of asking. Believe it or not it won’t be straightforward as the league is stronger than people outside of league one think.

Back to back wins and 7 goals scored. Our annual charge up the table after a shocking start begins. ... hopefully.

Very convincing win vs Bradford.

1st half Bradford should have been a couple of goals by half time if they weren't so shit in front of goal.

2nd half scored 4 should have been 6 or 7, and to a man every player for us was fantastic.

Bradford remind me of us in the last few weeks well in the game until we concede then the heads drop and they collapse.

Their best player DID threaten a handicapped person. How do i know this. The person in question was my 80 year old father. Incident has been reported to police so we'll see what happens - so obviously wont comment any further.

. The same player was also involved in an altercation with a ballboy too. The ballboy was also taken away and questioned as to what happened.

I am sorry for your Dad. So what was the nature of these threats that forced the poilce complaint?

Easy enough for Posh yesterday...Burton were not in it until they got back to 1-2 with 25 to go. After that they put us under pressure but we just employed the typical Evans dark arts of kicking, time wasting and sticking 19 men behind the ball at all times to see out the game.

After two quiet games and a shit one, it was good to see Dembele reward Evans' faith in sticking with him with a goal and a decent performance. We really are a different team when he is on form.

We seem to have woken up.

Why we have to go through the first 3 months of every season god knows.

They said on the football league show last week you had exactly the same kind of record as last season at this stage...

Yes, exactly, games played, games drawn, lost and won! Spooky. The last time I bet was on a horse when my grandad died in 1995. It may be time for another flutter.

I don’t think your players going through the back of ours was us going down, the ref bottled it but we lost because we didn’t take our chances

Your doing terrific, no two ways about it. Glad you are flying at the moment because there is a chance you could be more grounded come early December, to be exact the 8th !!
