Walsall at home for us on Tuesday. Both started the season very well, confounding predictions. Think we'll win 1-0 and the same fans who wanted Ardley out last year will declare us This Year's Shrewsbury.

No idea what has happed to Stech. Looked a very decent signing last season but made quite a few errors, some of which were comical. Chucking the ball into his own net against Lincoln which has to be seen to be believed. He can make outstanding saves but the errors are costly and in this league we can't afford them. No doubt whatsoever that we will revert back to the system we are used. We need to play to our strenghts and not worry about what other teams might do. A valuable lesson was learnt on Saturday.
Know very little about Southend. Seemed to have consolidated their league one status and will be looking to take the next step. This match will give us a clearer indication as to what the level is in this league.
Can't underestimate the value of a win tomorrow. A loss or even a draw and the natives might start getting restless.

Seem to recall he made a bit of an error in our then top of the table fixture with Notts County in November time I think it was, and from there he hasn't really recovered. Very odd as before then he looked a solid keeper.

Well I don't remember the specifics of it but didnt he just come for a ball he shouldn't have? Happens to most keepers once a season or so. It was an error I recall but not a massively egregious one. Some of the goals conceded since then have been far, far worse than that.

Shrewsbury at home, we lost to an injury time winner against them last season but we are a better team now, we created enough chances on Saturday to beat Burton but didn't take them so I'm hoping we have our scoring boots on tomorrow
I've only seen one game and that was Saturday and it could be argued that we should have taken all 3 points. The players are still working each other out, Askey is chopping and changing to much. We don't have a striker to put the ball in the net which impacts massively on the defense and midfield. The goalie had been shaky. A big chunk of supporters booed and chanted 'you don't know what you're doing' when Whalley instead of the shop was substituted on Saturday.
Having said all that we could have had 7 points on the board instead of 1 and we seem to be moving in the right direction.
A point would be great.

Pompey tonight - I can see a Lee Brown hatrick coming

Our LB is injured so we will play tony Craig at LB so I expect Lowe to run rings around him. Our defenders are ok at feet but shocking in the air so if Pompey play balls into the box then no doubt they’ll have a field day.

Whats the matter with Holmes-Dennis? Hawkins has been immensive up front. He's 6ft 5 and been winning flick ons. Has 3 assists so far

Can only back up Nelson's comments. On Saturday, it was the first time I'd seen Ollie Hawkins this season and he looks a different player to last. Won everything in the air and looked a nightmare to defend against. It works really well with Lowe and Curtis out wide using their speed for the knock-ons.

Just booked myself on the coach for our away trip to Oxford tomorrow night.
Not to worry Oxford fans Stanley have a habit of being the team that ends winless runs!
I felt we held our own against Charlton but we're a bit short up front with Kayden Jackson moving on.

Don't worry, you'll win.

Immensive might be my new favourite word Nelson!

Not sure what to expect tonight (Pompey lore says we should lose) but hoping for another performance that builds on Saturday, result aside.

Shame about Holmes-Dennis; what’s the injury?

Not sure, I believe he’s still injured from last season with you lot. Our management refuse to talk about injuries so we never really know who’s injured of for how long - rumours are he’ll be back next month.

Sounds like we will struggle defensively then. Hopefully Bennett will put in his usual performance, he’s been generally excellent for us since joining.

Our front line of Payne, Bennett and Rodman is pretty decent and they all work hard - just defensively we always let ourselves down.

I’ll expect a 2-1 Pompey win

Hawkins just needs a goal to get himself going and then I think people will get off his back. Curtis and Lowe, 2-1 tonight.

So onto the next game. Bristol Rovers away. Hopefully we can carry on the momentum and get the 4th win. We'll have to make sure we concentrate as it seem Rovers have some power from set pieces. going for a 2-1 victory and I expect Bennett to score a wordie against us. Whoever is playing left back for Rovers will need to be on their game as Lowe is looking on fire this season.

I hate to self-promote but....

Think he can carry it on?

Big decisions made for us, Sheehan and Collins missing out the main ones. He obviously has a real thing about playing a righth and left footed centre halves as no way I’d have played Pearson after Saturday but we will see how he responds.

Think putting Shinnie back in as the 10 is the right move personally and not too upset to see Lee moving up front over Collins as a result.

Thanks - I'm very much not an expert, but you might do alright!

Hope you’re right, not looking much further than tonight where I think we’re going to get a pasting.

If we get a positive result tonight, I might start feeling a bit differently as do we have a lot of injuries to come back.

That was the first goal (Ameobi header); the second he just threw into the net!

Southend look a half decent side; quite pacey, hardworking at a high tempo. I think when it comes off it probably looks great, but they’ve had little end product so far.

I’d argue we’ve looked better v Portsmouth and Sunderland but a 2-0 lead is very nice indeed.

Hylton now has 2 in 2 but I can’t say he looks to be in great nick.

Barnsley are taking a huge dump on this division.

Absolutely dominated tonight. Watching it on iFollow and well worth the £10 even though they lost the picture for five minutes and I missed Moore's second goal.

This is well overdue in football, I've been watching US sport streams for a few years and it's ideal when you can't make the game. Nothing beats being there but this is a great option and one I'll happily pay a reasonable price for.

Ten quid online, but it's only £15 to see a game at our place. Seems a bit shitty when you're only going to (realistically) watch one game in real time.

But yeah well done to barnsleh.

Do you think £10 is reasonable?

4th game on the trot we’ve conceded in the last 10. Boring. This time from a penalty that shouldn’t have been.

Honestly, when will this club catch a break?

Comedy of errors for us. Walsall scored a screamer we then had all the ball but no end product until we have away 2 of the worst goals you will ever see. One cracking own goal as well. We actually were ok but once again we have a decent side with no teeth. We need a fourth striker desperately
