I’m not entirely on board with this scapegoating of Virtue, I thought he was one of our better players last night (which obviously isn’t saying much...), and certainly did more to try and stop Swansea than Husin did.

He shouldn’t be starting if Hewitt has recovered for Saturday, obviously, but not sure who else was supposed to play there last night.

I'm with Jacob on making Virtue a scapegoat. He's had a hard start to his career and is clearly fitter than Hussin and arguably Noble and I'm not at all convinced he's a talent free zone.

Notts tend to travel well in the capital. Should be a good atmosphere. NotnallN after losing 8 - 1 a team would get a poor following but most Notts fans don't seem to care that much

A decent half for us. Unlike just about every other match this season we need to play well in the 2nd half too.
County fans showing their lack of knowledge of the changes to the offside law just before half-time. The defending team can take an offside free-kick in the opposition half you know..

Thought at first it was a poor following from Notts but then realised that midweek trip to Swansea must've been costly.

Apart from Exeter away I've not seen us play like a promotion winning side all season. They've worked hard all season, and until recently made the best of what they've got but but but but but, it's not enough, and we're missing Yates massively. Without Hewitt as well we are nowhere near.
Depressing today, way worse than Swansea, just glad I wasn't there.

Unless something changes/you start another run like August/September, I'd say County have no chance of automatic promotion and probably won't even make the play-offs unless you get a decent return from the games left against Mansfield, Wycombe, Accrington, Coventry and Luton.

Said the same yesterday the experimenting and signing of substandard players has ruined this team. Can't see us making the play offs now recent form and results have been frankly disasterous.

I still think we will make the play offs, our home form should still be enough to see us through. We are missing Yates a lot. It’s a shame that Forest sent him to sit on the bench when he would be starting every week here.

I’m hoping yesterday’s bust up will draw the team together. Lots of people putting two and two together and getting 5 saying Nolan has lost the dressing room. Doubt it myself... think it’s bullshit

It was really cold.

I don’t want to simplify this down to Elliott Hewitt not starting in midfield, but the stats are as follows:-

We’ve lost 8 games in all competitions now (ignoring the kickabout trophy thing), for seven of them Hewitt has either been filling in at centre back, rested or injured. The only other one was at Coventry on the opening day when he was partnered by Liam sodding Walker.

Now considering that he’s played pretty much 75% of this season as a first choice central midfielder...
