Readings player are a bunch of fairies, barrow must of rolled around about 20 times in an attempt to get pack sent off. One of many shit reading players too. Bodvarsson looked decent though, glad when he went off.
I thought it was Aluko?

Fook me, we made hard work of that!
Worrying about Bakes and Patto although I thought Patto looked laboured when he came on as he couldn't chase back, superb finish though.
Did I see Brownhill limping at the end as well?
Talk about bare bloody bones!

No aluko was the first time when pack actually did get booked. Barrow the second time, they were both a pair of fairies tbh

Brave of LJ to leave Marlon on, I didn't expect to see him after half time TBH.
Reading badly need a forward by the way.
For us, we only played our football on a couple of occasions today and 2 of them resulted in goals, the build up to the first (and the finish) were top class!

Johnson out Johnson out. I fancy bristol city to beat wolves as well but then have a minor blip around the cup games in January. Certainly no full on collapse though

Due a blip due to injuries, can't wait until that cup game for 2 weeks off, we should field the 23s and I think we will.

Most teams will, I don't agree with it personally but we have them lot on the Friday after so this 1 time only I don't care who plays.

First game for me in a while, sat in the home end with a City supporting mate. Great facilities in the new ground, still prefer the old Gate, much more of a hostile feeling.

I didn't think we were too bad. We got into the game in stages, but never really got out of first gear and, from what I've heard/seen, it's been the same all the season. Why have Van Den Berg, Edwards and Evans as a midfield three? They might be astute defensively but none of them are going to open up defences like we needed today. Aluko and Barrow thrive on pace and we were playing balls too short into them which completely killed any tempo. City did well out wide, exposing the weaknesses of Gunter and Bacuna (why are we still persisting with him at right back?).

The referee was all over the place for both sides, which didn't help the pace of the game nor did our bemusing attempts are passing it out from the back, which in 18 months, have rarely flourished.

Was that the Bobby Reid one in the first half? I was bang in line with it in B Block and he wouldn't have been offside anyway. The officials were very poor today, really poor! The penalty we should have had was a strange one as well plus the ref missed about 4 blatant handballs from either side. Specsavers job but at least the officials were dreadful for both sides.

Was sat behind the dugouts and the City staff, fourth official and Michael Gilkes were all going ballistic at eachother for nearly all of the first half. I'm not sure the fourth official was too keen on working on Boxing Day.

If it’s the penalty shout I’m thinking if I think bobby was offside anyway.. the lino was just as bad tbh, played on when it looked like we were offside... yet put his flag up when bobby was onside.. proper piss poor performance from the officials today but thankfully a bit of brilliance from pato got us the 3 points, and of course a couple of fantastic saves from frankie.

Makes a change from the last 10 years or so... :2thumb:

All the best to City for the rest of the season - a club certainly going places and I think I've just about gotten over taking a kicking there in the early 90s... :bg:
You've had your fair share of trouble over the years haven't you
