Strong rumours that once we lose this, Hessenthaler will be sacked. The club's owners were going to give him ten games to see how he faired and if he wasn't anywhere near the top four, he was a goner.

We're a shambles at home - Already lost to Newport & Yeovil already, two of the leagues weaker sides and now we face the leaders........

We've got no real cover at CB, because the player we did sign to play there is currently out injured until January....

Last home game saw the crowd turn on Becchetti and his cronies, I can see this one being worse.

Would not be suprised to see us lose this one 5-0/6-0, we are hopeless at defending and once we fall behind we usually collapse.

You just know we're going to win this!

Lol just kidding, Carey will slaughter us. We have to play with a defensive mid to contain him.

I would write how I'd line up but I just don't know... If we're 4-4-2 Bowery has to play. He's the only player apart from Simpson who can link up well and Simpson needs to play further forward imo.

Defensively I'm not convinced about anyone apart from Parkes. Kennedy actually worries me quite a bit, I'd love to see how many times a game he turns over possession on the cheap. Hunt I've never rated. Erichot has a tendency to switch off. Pollock needs to put on muscle.

Midfield I like Kelly, Massey and Cornick in particular. I think people overhype Atangana and underhype Weir - I watched the Notts County game back and I actually think a lot of the singling out of Weir was harsh. He wasn't good, but he wasn't 1/10 bad, I think there were a number of other players equally deserving of criticism. I'd actually play Weir and stick him on Carey. that would be his role for 90 mins, don't let Carey breath.

I don't have a clue how I'd line up, there's no starting 11 I can put together and I think I like that. I think we've really missed out on getting an offensive minded central midfielder, who knows, Benedictic might be the answer...

But even if we had the front two sections right, the back isn't there. We have a good defender in Parkes, we chuck Erichot next to him. Last season we had Baudry and chucked Essam along side him. Don't feel secure down the flanks, Hunt hasn't been that bad recently but I can't help feeling he's a disaster waiting to happen.

I can make absolutely no case for either Kennedy or Erishit starting. Semedo might be green defensively but he is a least progressive going the other way.

Atangana provides the athleticism we need in a two-man midfield. Has to start. Simmo up front on his own as all the other strikers are dogshit.

I fond myself almost looking forward to a resolute Plymouth performance and the crowd turning on bechetti. Hess has to go, nothing personal but he's not good enough.

Plymouth will obviously conceive to somehow lose this one, annoyingly keeping hess in the job for 5 more games, from which we will amass 4 points.

For the first time in my 30 years of going to the Orient I actually feel genuine apathy for the team. Beginning to not care :(

Hessenthaler isn't the problem really.

Milanese wasn't the answer. Nugent wasn't the answer. Liverani wasn't the answer. Hendon wasn't the answer. Nolan wasn't the answer. Hessenthaler apparently isn't the answer.

I tend to lean towards the argument there isn't an answer because management isn't the problem.

Dare I ask then, what is the question? The owners?

Uncle Frankie Becchetti and his family are the answer, and the question is why is everything so shit. Our old captain Mathieu Baudry told the podcast lads that he couldn't see Orient ever improving under Becchetti, and he's right. The management isn't the problem. Well, Hendon's piss poor recruitment was part of the problem, Milanese's numerous character flaws were also part of the problem, but the way the club is run from the top is the problem. Our CEO Alessandro Angelieri once forgot to pay anyone. Just one example in a staggering list of ineptitude that's engulfed Orient in the last two and a bit years.

Thing is though, by all means Becchetti is super ambitious, like, stupidly ambitious. But he's an interfering clueless chairman who only has money through lawsuits and his rich uncle, who was once arrested as the "mastermind of a criminal empire" - although he obviously wasn't as nothing stuck, like Becchetti obviously isn't involved in anything murky, just happened to piss off the corrupt Albanian government. For a successful businessman he has shown a staggering lack of business acumen.

He's a playboy who's been given some money from his families vast fortunes, to have some fun with. There is no evidence to suggest he has helped his family earn any part of their fortune.

The way he conducts himself amongst others is poor, he has no man management skills to successfully lead a team or a business. He has clearly had everything given to him on a plate, so he's not needed to develope or use any man management skills when it comes to dealing with people within an organisation.

Have the crowd not yet turned on Bechetti, or are you LOTAL, E10 and Terminator not representative of the majority of Orient's support. I'd assumed you must be having protests every week.

Things got heated at the last home game and alot of fans have him a right earful and he ushered himself away.

There won't be any protests here, we're a football club made up of mainly old boys who yell and talk nonsense - If you sit where I've sat for the last 11 years, you'd have probably befriended more OAPs than youngsters - Which has been the case with me anyway!

The Supporter's Trust (LOFT) is also an absolute state right now.
They try hard and mean well. But they can't gain any large support or momentum, they're another small group but again its mainly older supporters - Not many get to the majority of the games much either. We're a small club, these sort of fan groups need alot of dedication and time, sadly we've not got that down at Leyton Orient. I'd like to help out on more regular basis, but I have problems of my own.

LOFT are experiencing a brain-drain. Losing younger members in swathes since the appointment of You Know Who. My membership has lapsed.

There has been trouble in the stands at recent games. We still have a significant proportion of 'we just support the team' types who couldn't give a fuck who is running the club or how it's being run, as long as there's a team to clap off after another gutless defeat.

Absolutely right. I probably wouldn't have renewed because of the lOFFt issue, but my membership renewed automatically :sl:

It does make me shudder a little he would be heavily involved in an AFC Orient. Not that I think it would ever happen.

In terms of the game itself.

We will see a reaction - We will either play well and lose 1-0, or the club will be seen as its true shambles and we will lose 5-0.

Either way, Plymouth impressed me in both our games last season and I have no doubt they will be beat us.

I don't think Leyton Orient supporters are really geared towards organised protests. Everyone (myself included) seems more than happy to moan in their seats, but there doesn't seem to be any central focus around which to gather. Even if there existed a strong, centralised supporter's club I don't think enough people would rally due to the sense of futility around Brisbane Road at the moment.

With our players on decent wages, and the club operating at a loss due to small/medium gates, we need the owner to constantly put up the capital, but at the same time he is the primary cause of nearly every problem at the club, so it's becoming a catch-22 situation.

It's frustrating at the moment, and it's easy (and 100% correct) to blame the owner, but it doesn't really achieve anything. Despite the 2-year circus we've had to endure, I honestly feel that one astute managerial appointment could swing it all around. If (and it's a very big if) a decent manager comes in, grinds out some results and improves the home performances, the owner might let him crack on and the fans can get behind the team, instead of against the owner.

Can't see it happening though.

I'm not sure if I want the Orient to win a few and have us meander around 14th all season or if I cathartically want us to lose heavily a couple of time to see if people get fired up.

Easily the worst I've felt in 30-odd years of following the O's.

Good luck to Plymouth, I'm surprised you're up there to be honest, but well done. Maybe one day we can have a game against you that's not on a bloody Tuesday night!!

Think this has uninspriring draw and performances from both sides written all over it to be honest. Feel a lot for Orient at the moment! Never been to Orient so the repeated Tuesday night fixtures are becoming very frustrating as it would mean 2 days off work! Maybe next year.

Don't forget we are a very different team from the one you saw. According to my fingers as I counted only, five of the players you saw might be playing tonight.

Personally this one worries me, I think either you'll win narrowly or we'll go mad and score a hatful. I tend towards the former with the latter being fancy thinking requiring you to implode, our forwards to remember where the goal is and most importantly the stars to be in alignment.

If he plays (and I suspect he will be on the bench), the one to watch other than obviously Carey is our new loanee Garita. Looks like he will be a handful.

Completely off topic but someone has to ask, what is the story behind your username being the scientific name of a type of mushroom?

Aaaaand the games already ruined, referee giving a nonsensical red card to captain Robbie Weir after 20 seconds for nothing more than a robust challenge. A pity.

Awful orient defending allows Plymouth to casually pass the ball into the net. 0-1. And the referee sends orient down to 9 men. Orient debutee Janse sees red. In all fairness, you will not see a more blatant red card in any league this season.

What are orient doing?!

Mate at the ground said second red absolute stone waller and the first was 2 footed challenge from what he saw.

The first was just a solid no nonsense tackle, the second was a typical last man sliding tackle red. The ref should've given at least yellows to 2 Plymouth players, and just now a bit of afters on our keeper got nothing. So far its the referees game, watch Plymouth win 5 or 6 nil, frightening amounts of space

And yet the Radio Devon commentators think the first was a yellow, and the second was harsh. I want to win, but not this way.
