Sensational Simon hasn't re-signed yet.

Carrington- solid and previous player of the season
Riley - ace last time for us, but injury prone
Bencherif - decent player and good last half of the season for Halifax
Edwards - player of the season from TNS
Newton - Nolan’s boyfriend
Evans - one of our own
Rutherford - Southport player of the season
Bailey Nicholls - random 18 year old
White - good record in Scotland and looks the part, everyone expecting big things
Powell - from Rugby Town

So a little bit of quality, some solid performers, some gambles and still a long way to go until our squad is complete.

Can't wait for one of them to say Simon Heslop

What's wrong with that . We get it - he was terrible for you guys !

Let's just say our squad is tiny at the mo and we don't just need an injection of further quality , we need a suppository of it too .

The first and last time Heslop has been called sensational, I imagine!

I'll add the word sexy too if he re-signs.

In all seriousness I don't see why most Wrexham fans are desperate for him to stay, he was ok, scored 3 goals, worked hard, half decent defensively, but gave the ball away far too often.

So to sum up, he was nothing short of sensational.

What decent players have Wrexham got left? (honest question, not a pisstake)

What, from last season? We'd barely any to start with hence why 90% of them were released. The only one I really wanted us to sign was Rhys Taylor and that isn't happening.

He started off well, and gave us better shape. He's a decent player but nothing sensational. I hope he's staying bur the two I wanted us to keep were Jennings and Taylor.

As for the Rooney rumours, they certainly are persistent. I've never been that impressed when ive seen him, doesn't seem to put enough effort in. But he is a creative player and we are short of them right now (among other things!)

Disappointed to see Jennings go. Tranmere have got themselves a good player - interested to see whether Brabin keeps him in midfield or moves him back up front as he was when he banged them in at Macc.

Hard worker, runs all day, gets stuck in, -a decent enough passer of the ball, bags a good amount of goals from midfield.

I'm way more gutted about Jennings going to Tranmere than I was about Harris the previous season.

I think it's something stupid now like that we've lost our top scorer about 6 years in a row from the previous season? Jennings, Moult, Hunt, Wright, Speight, Mangan?

No knowledge of how he did once back with Wilkin, but I like to think that Clarke single handedly kept Brackley Town in the Vanarama North.

Clarke's strength, apart from his 100% effort, was surging forward and attacking from midfield and I would have kept him at The Racecourse. I've always assumed that Kidderminster tried to play him in a role he wasn't really suited to for him to end up such a complete flop.
To be honest Clarke showed nothing going forwards or defensively. I got the impression that maybe he could rely on Harris/Keates when with you but when asked to step up and be the leader in our midfield he just couldn't cut it. He was repeatedly outperformed by 19 year old Maxwell and his form never looked like picking up. He was probably the signing last summer we had most hope for.

I've not seen John Rooney enough to give a proper assessment but when I've seen the Derby games and caught Chester on BT Sport he's always looked decent, he also hit double figures (I think) for goals last season. I think it would definitely be good to have a proper attacking midfielder this year than say a striker playing midfield (Jennings), so I wouldn't completely write him off straight away if he signed.

Dale Bennett re-signs for FGR. Been our best defender for past 2-3 seasons. Absolutely hates losing and gives 100% every game, if desire won you games then having 11 of him would guarantee an unbeaten season. Also yet to see anyone beat him for pace. Only slight negative was when that desire sometimes bubbles over into frustration if he doesn't live up to his own standards, eg. the yellow card 10mins into the Tranmere game when he kicked the ball away after mis-controlling it. But thankfully incidents like that are getting fewer and further between as he matures. Think he may be important to Coopers system.

This is the best news of the summer, a key member of the team, glad that the club have been able to secure his services for another two seasons. My biggest fear after we lost the play off was that we would see the likes of Frear, Bennett, Clough and Racine all leave as they are the type of player who rarely let you down and must surely have attracted the attention of Football League teams, now all are with us for next season. Reasons to be cheerful!

I'm yet to see anyone beat him for whinging and cheating. The Pepe of non-league.

Yeah, not really a leader or organiser Joe Clarke, but he would step up when other players around him were performing badly and give it a right good go. At times he was our best midfielder. He actually made a more positive contribution in our midfield than Harris did in the two seasons before they both departed. And Keates was injured or past it for much of that period too.

Never ever seen him diving/ rolling about, when have you seen him doing that? Any links gratefully seen.

As frank says, he can get frustrated, we all know that though he has worked hard on that and was rare to see last season. Seriously I have never seen him cheat, he gives his all, very speedy never say die attitude- great to see him stay with FGR

I'm sorry but he does, I love benno to bits, I used to play at right back and I love watching him play he's been my favorite player ever since he signed in 2013, on his day he's the most exciting fgr player, but he goes over very very easily, I've seen him go down like he's been shot multiple times with minimal contact, I wouldn't call it cheating just a bit of play acting. Very happy with the news!!!

After he elbowed Jake Kirby in the head then feigned an injury to avoid being sent off. The referee lapped it up and he got away with it despite already being on a yellow.

Wow, thanks for that I will look closer then in future, never ever seen it myself . TBF going down with minimal contact IS cheating, piss poor and any player doing it should be retrospectively banned. That would stop it in a season. Makes it almost impossible to ref a game with one official and one lino at best having sight at the time of an incident. Pepe should be handed out a 6 match ban for the disgusting way he feigned assault in the CL final. "Play acting" stays at the theatre not the theatre of dreams :told:

The way I saw that incident was head to head... Maybe you had a closer view though.

Bennett re-signing is brilliant news, absolutely buzzing top player easily one of the best most consistent defenders in the division. If oppo don't like him that's a bonus in my book, must mean he's pretty damn good.

Not interested in bitter Tranny or Halifax fans trying to throw dirt, Dale's a legend.

Angus McDonald is the best whinger I've ever seen, always looking for a fight. Very good at winding up strikers though, but sometimes he goes too far and ends up getting booked or even sent off.

One of the most frustrating things about the lad. Fortunately for us, he really curved his attitude in the last 15 games last season, and was an absolute rock. Here's hoping we see more of that maturity next time around.

Sean Newton, Jordan White, Martin Riley, Hamza Bencherif, Mark Carrington is ok.

..and Simon Heslop. :ds:

Bencherif is fat, slow and shit. Part of the shittest Conference last year.

But now he's signed for Wrexham he's really good and Jennings is average.

I've heard good things about Bencherif, strong end to the season after starting the season overweight. I think he could be good next to a better centre half partner/s.
Not once did I say Jennings was shit or average as you've now changed it to. All I said is that he is not someone to get excited about like we did, he's not the Macclesfield player anymore, he seems to struggle controlling a ball at times, but what he does give is 100% effort, but as I said before he does have that uncontrolled nature about him at times like Jay Harris does.

That's a positive for you then because he's always looked pretty solid defensively, he just almost always concentrates on trying to wind up the striker, which is sometimes a good plan if they have a short fuse, but he too has a short fuse and it sometimes backfires on him haha.

We've signed Damon Lathrope from Aldershot. Fantastic signing!!

Will slot in where Racchi fit last term, and allow Youngy to play a more advanced role. Delighted with that.
