I never like that argument that we look tired after midweek games. The same applies to Crawley. Granted they did have a long mid week journey but they played the same number of games. Yet they were full of energy. The whole point with having a big quality squad is using it when the need arises. This may have also been a great time to rest a couple of players as you said the quality is there. We were up against a physical team and Pelly for example might have been a better option in midfield. Justin in for Stacey too perhaps. Elliot Lee should have been introduced sooner too. Of course it's easy to say this in hindsight. I guess NJ wanted to keep playing a winning team out of loyalty to the players who have performed so well recently. The risk with this team is if someone is left out to rest they might not get back in again. A great luxury to have.
They had more energy in the second half because they weren't the team making the running!

With the benefit of hindsight he probably should have changed it but I guess having won 4-1 midweek it was a tough call. If one of those Crawley chances had gone in we’d have all been criticising for him having changed the winning formula so it’s tough.

I’d have liked to have seen JJ introduced at some point as Stacey was having a real torrid time of it I thought, to be fair he was still putting in those miles up and down that wing but he was struggling against their winger who looked reasonably useful and gave the ball away quite a few times allowing the counter attacks to start. As above his crossing was also unusually bad. Definitely his worst game for us but can you drop him next week having really only had 1 poor game all season? Might be harsh on the boy.

Hylton was also way, way off the pace and In my view was clearly not right even in the warm up. Definitely wasn’t his usual self. Apparently he was ill which I can believe but not sure why he played him if he was especially with Lee clearly chomping at the bit.

Lee once again looked very lively when he came on and was unlucky not to score I think. I wasn’t a big fan of his signing actually but he looks a better player than I remembered in the brief cameos he has got.

It will be interesting to see what changes Jones makes against Coventry.

I've also been pleasantly surprised by E.Lee. Full of energy, skillful and is not afraid to have a shot. His previous spell was not great but he was younger then and has presumably developed. He was very unlucky not to score with that late effort. It looked like it was going in.
Didnt know about Hyltons feeling ill. That would explain his below par performance.
Stacey is a class act and deserves to keep his place. I just can't believe a talent like JJ can't get a game. He needs playing time to develop into the player will all know he's going to become (championship level at least).
Don't agree with Kenneths comments on Crawleys fitness. They ran and chased all game to make sure we didn't get our fluent game going. We have also shown this season we are a fit team and it is usually the opposition that tire.

Just watched Goal Rush and Nathan Jones interview was funny:

'There were no clear cut chances, maybe one or two for each team'. :bg1:
