It’s a game I thought we could win, but wasn’t sure we would. Pleased we did. Important win to stop the rot.

Now we have got to back it up on Monday with another win which will be huge for top 7 hopes as after that the games start to come against top teams again who we simply can’t beat.

I swear if football was a summer sport Crewe would be premier league. As soon as the sun starts to pop out we turn up. Helps that we have decent strikers now throughout the team instead of relying on the joke that was Sambou for the majority of the season.

Yeah we really were good today, not the finished article but who cares this is the makings of something positive.

Some monstrous performances out there. I was wrong about Featherstone before the game, absolutely ran the show. Keeper and defence outstanding, Kemp is just too good for this level.

Brilliant run of form, I reckon we will stay up now.

Great to see, this is how Askey does things. He rarely comes in and gets you on a winning run straight away like you'd expect the traditional new manager bounce he just does it in stages. Always thought he would keep Pools up, obviously a lot of work to do but it's a great fit all round.

Carlisle comfortable winners today, though didn't look as dominant as when they won by a similar margin on Wirral earlier in the season. Rovers had one attempt on target a Mumbongo daisy-cutter. Will be glad when this season's over, though the next one doesn't look promising.

Pools in with a decent chance to stay up now. Wimbledon deserve something nasty though, for throwing away two points and gifting Harrogate one.

Our gift to the footballing world today. I don't have personal problems with Crawley really and their fans on here are sound so it's a bit harsh that everyone is routing for Hartlepool but we've given you all what you wanted and rolled over for a belly tickle here so you're welcome.

Obsessed weirdo.

I’m exactly the same but if i had to choose between hartlepool and crawley it really would be really very easy to choose hartlepool, ideally id love dale and hartlepool to stop up and get rid of colchester and crawley - but that would be asking for too much.

Donny aren’t very good, neither are we really, but we scored just before half time and that was that.

Quality mate! :fl:
What’s funny? We were diabolical today, defended like children and it was really embarrassing. 4-1 however was not really a fair score line and if Michee Efete wasn’t on drugs today then we might have got ahead. Hartlepool were the better side but we’ve only managed to get the better of 4 other sides at home this season so it’s not fully surprising.

We simply don’t have the squad to rest players - also can’t understand why we’ve changed the team and tactics that we performed so well in Feb and March with. And Max Crocombe needs replacing next season, too many of our fans are blinded by his inefficiencies because he’s ‘funny’.

It's funny how teams just look at our position, record on the road, goals conceded and think we're some shower at the bottom to be turned over still, we're a revitalized team under Askey, this isn't Curle ball anymore, we passed you to bits in that game for large swathes, we're a proper footballing team and it showed today.

Grimsby's problem remains the same as it was in the reverse fixture, there's not one single attacking threat in that team, McAtee looked good for 15 minutes when he came on, that's all they have.

Watched on ifollow. We started pretty well but Bradford changed it around a bit and our midfield went missing. Cook made Addai make a really good save and screwed up a very easy chance later. Thank you. Lewis made a decent save from Ranson late on but we didn't threaten really. Lots of corners headed away.

Must say Conroy had the worst game I've seen from him. Looked as though his head was elsewhere. He's normally pretty good for us.

The two teams got upset with each other. It blew up, stormed for a while then quieted down. Firstly Ransom missed the ball in a challenge. Seen reds given but yellow was probably right . A Bradford player left one on a Crawley player. Fair yellow , Khaleel got a yellow for trying to kick the ball with the Bradford player sitting on it. Always think if the ref give obstruction for preventing the player from kicking the ball more quickly that wouldn't of happened. Then Derbyshire was late on our player. Definitely seen red for those. The Bradford sending off was partly caused by this as when he pushed our winger in the back to stop him getting away he got a second yellow.

Bradford had a good shout for a pen at the end. Think he got the ball but I can't be arsed to watch it back.

By the way. The 13 players on the pitch ting (some rule)was a joke. Missed by some.

I fully understand why everyone wants us to go down, I would if I wasn’t a supporter. It doesn’t even give me motivation to hate everyone else. I just wish the c**** would leave us alone and put us back to where we were

Where did I say you should be turned over? I expected us to fight hard, compete and be able to pass the ball against an improving yet still relegation threatened side? Despite your fantastic team, we still had more chances than you and our inability to defend is inexcusable.

You should thank your lucky stars we didn't have any more on target, 4 on, 4 goals!

Mo Sylla signed a pre contract deal with a L1 club I heard so that's why Askey shunted him out

1-1 with Colchester. Pretty poor game, lacking in quality. We started ok and had a couple of chances but Colchester grew into the game and took the lead thanks to some poor flat footed defending and it took until the restart for us to show any life.

Decent move that led to the Gilbey goal, think the keeper should be doing better though. After that both sides had one decent chance to win the game, Chambers was denied by Lo-Tutala and Norris fired wide after good work from Roberts.

We probably had more half chances and promising situations than Colchester in the second half but didn't play with enough quality to fashion real goal scoring opportunities.

Thought Lo-Tutala looked decent enough from his limited involvement, our 7th goalkeeper of the season unbelievably! Disappointing news to see Norris go off injured, suspect that his season is done now, leaves us pretty limited for forward options. Pretty shitty afternoon unfortunately.

The Fishy in absolute meltdown, some proper doyles on there like.
Same as on Twitter, Hurst out, not safe from relegation etc, fact is it’s only these last two games v you and Bradford where we’ve been pants, the 3 games before it were all draws but we should’ve won 2 of those.

I think it’s a bit of crossed wires here as his original post was saying our first half performance was embarrassing and not a slur on Hartlepool at all.

Really disappointing if that’s the case because he’s been brilliant recently and if he’s choosing to down tools at this stage it’s a disgrace

Didn’t see any of the game but failing to beat one of the bottom sides is the least surprising of results - no one down there can say we’ve favoured one of the others as literally everyone of them has taken points off us in some form this season.

He's not L1 quality either and if it's the club I've heard, he'll not be anywhere near their 1st team. He's got every right to move as his contract is up but if he's been advised to play silly buggers then we can do without him. He is hardly irreplaceable. I hope he gives his head a shake and does play a part as we need him for the last 6 games.
