We’ll likely go close to full-strength against Judas’ Bolton tomorrow. We beat Blackpool last season as part of our great start and it added to the momentum, so I expect Wild will want to do the same again this year.
Judas as in an Evatt ref ?
We can’t throw stones in that department according to FC Halifax as we had Wild signed up whilst he was still promising Halifax the world.

Accrington away:

Following Oyegoke’s dismissal at Crawley, he won’t be travelling. Without a recognised RWB, Hughes might be forced to revert to 4231/4321.

GK: Harry Lewis

RB: Brad Halliday
CB: Matt Platt
CB: Cieran Kelly
LB: Liam Ridehalgh

CM: Ritchie Smallwood
CM: Alex Pattison

RW: Alex Gilliead
AM: Jamie Walker
LW: Clarke Oduor

ST: Andy Cook

Over a 1,000 tickets sold. I don’t envy ‘em - they’ll likely get pissed on.

2-0 Accy

I should listen to you lads more. This is the 3rd season in a row I’ve bet on you to win L2.

Third time lucky?

Far too early to know, but it all seems a bit disjointed at the minute.

Our fate might solely depend on Hughes’ stubbornness to change formation to suit what players we currently have or who we decide to bring in via loan market.

Grimsby at home, the only positive is it’s not away.

Hopefully go through and we can have our cup final evening out at Forest in round 2

Was only a throwaway joke. But the way he celebrated the title win and said he was looking forward to our first season back in the EFL, having stopped off in Bolton on the drive up, left a bitter taste.

Salford really should lodge an appeal about how Wrexham have stolen the TV rights that they had nailed on for the last few seasons. Surely Preston vs Salford was huge. Outrageous from Sky.
Wish they'd picked them. Even I'm struggling to want to watch Wrexham reserves against Wigan. Doubt a neutral will be interested, might get a few who tune in just to see us lose but can't see many

Away to Moneysfield. Hopefully play all those fit to start who missed out on the weekend but Hurst never seems to make too many changes. Not sure if Gnahoua is one of those as Hurst has said he's lacking fitness. Be good if he got at least 30 minutes. With Khan and Wilson out and Pyke being managed back to fitness, we're light on potential changes up top. Expect Rose, Eisa and Vernam all to start again tbh.

Wigan at home, on sky.
Parky has already said he will be making a lot of changes for this one. Won't be far off a full starting 11 change I think
1-3 Wigan

So you think we will see another Dave Jones appearance?

Notts likely to give this one a go? We don't have the numbers to do much tbh, we're only at 16/17 senior pros so if we're to make changes we'll have to call on some of the younger lads.

Last year they tanked all the cups first chance they got.

I agree with you about him jumping ship....but if he never we would have never tasted the delights of Cooper....I’m forever thankful to IE for allowing that experience

Losing at Exeter tonight.

I expect to see some changes not least as Saturday was Conroy's first minutes since last season so he is probably shattered.

Give the loanees a chance to start and maybe a few others Like Campbell and Khaleel.

So the club formally known as Wrexham (now Wrexham FMC(Fuc-ing Media Circus)) are on Sky. When will it all end? Well their Cup run most likely will tonight!

I expect us to treat it more like an extension of pre season and to try something a bit different

It'll be exciting affair where the reserve team of League one Wigan beat the reserve team of league two Wrexham who are both using it as a glorified preseason match to get some fringe players fit.

A couple of thousand of ours going over to Sheffield Wednesday tonight including myself, I've never been to either of the Sheffield sides so thought I'd take the opportunity.

Grimsby at home. Meh.

I’d imagine we’d play some fringe players (as i’d suspect grimsby would also) good if we go through but if grimsby do wish them a decent tie in the 2nd round.
Likewise, don't really think anyone is massively up for this one.
Grimsby's cup final so expecting them to beat our second string.
Bizarre comment.

Apparently our last League cup tie was a 2nd Round game in 2007 when we got beat 5 nil at home by Aston Villa. Auspicious.

I looked up when our last Milk Cup tie was earlier. Villa had John Carew on the bench; Wrexham had "Carrots" in goal. That was a dismal evening. Those were dismal times.

Evening ruined twice tonight.

1) Was expecting to watch it on IFollow but forgot Sky hold the rights so deny anyone else the chance to watch their match.

2) Decide to see which game is on Sky... Of course it's Wrexham. Shan't be watching then. Yawn.

Radio Leeds it is for me then.
