We have beaten stocksbridge, guiseley and Fylde and now face York in the next round. Town fans have suprisingly turned up in decent numbers for all these matches.

Tranmere Youth 6-1 up at Altrincham. Doncaster Rovers at home next, I believe.

Edit... finished 7-1.

Currently worked our way through 4 rounds, Hullbridge Sports, Tower Hamlets, Tilbury and Rushden & Higham Utd.

Drawn against MK Dons in the first round. Nice for our younglings to walk out at Stadium MK.

We've got Charlton away next, to be played at Welling. Would have been a good home draw.

Tranmere 3-0 Doncaster

Another very decent result for a promising youth setup. On to the next round.

Worth watching for the hilarious attempt at a clearance by the Donny keeper for our first, and a worldy of a volley for the second.

We won 1-0 with a healthy crowd of 413 watching, more than one or two National League sides get.

Great stuff.

Just home and very pleased that our excellent youth set up is in the 2nd round for first time since we reformed.

Well done Callum, I'm sure you read this.

Unbelievable scenes at the shay tonight as York were 2-0 up and cruising in the 90th minute when the young shaymen scored two in quick succession to take it to extra time and then penalties and eventually winning 4-3 on penalties. The future is looking bright for sure!

Bigger crowds turning up to watch the youth team than shit like Brackley get to watch their first teams. :bdick:

We won 4-2 at Scunthorpe this evening, meaning we have a very tasty tie at Everton in the next round. I imagine one or two Rovers fans might pop across to Goodison for this one.

Our goals from this evening are now on YouTube. Another few crackers in there, especially that last one...

Scored some very impressive goals there. Might just pop over to Jurassic Park myself for the next round. I haven`t been there since St Yates Day and will be hoping for a repeat.

We've just beaten League 1 Bolton Wanderers 2-0 in front of 580 fans. Very good performance against a decent side who flattered to deceive. Comfortable win in the end ... well done. Broxbourne Borough (a) next up.

Lost 2-1 at Bradford City. They were a class above but we led early on and stayed in the game, just didn't have the quality to create many chances and we missed the few decent moments we had. Another positive season for the kids though, 5 wins in this competition. Hopefully it means we start off in a later round next year

We lost 1-0 at Broxbourne Borough aet on Wednesday night. I think they will be a problem for a few teams if drawn on their cabbage patch. Also some of their young fans invaded the pitch and attacked Chester players after the match. Unsavoury.

Yeah, we lost too. 2-0. We did manage to hit the post twice, and by all accounts held our own, but Everton were just too good.
