What happened with Wilson? He went off in the second half an went straight to hospital for X-Rays on a possible broken ankle.
It was quite innocuous, we were all confused why he went down. I didn’t even notice a challenge.

I've got absolutely no problem with Lincoln's increased support, in fact I think it's great as some of the 'new' fans will undoubtedly stick around when the Cowleys move on and the good times are over. And that's always preferable to 'supporting' (i.e. watching on the box) some big PL side. So, on my part,it's only #bantz, but I thought that was clear enough with my 5-1 prediction! Predicting 6 goals in an Imps v U's match is equivalent to saying San Marino will win their WC group. Am I right Luke Imp? ;) The only problem I have - along with many others - is with their OTT enthusiasm for the tinpot cup, but that's been well documented elsewhere on this forum.

Re. last night's match, I thought both sides had their chances but I don't think either side deserved to lose the game so a point apiece was a fair result in the end. On Anderson's chance, I thought he missed an absolute sitter at the time, but I'm not too sure now after watching the highlights as Dunk did just enough to put him off, so it's not what I'd call a sitter. Re. Bostwick - I like my midfielders to be calm and composed (and obvs not give the ball away cheaply. I'm looking at you Gary Deagan) , and Bostwick was excellent last night. I'm well aware of what he's capable of, but he still surprised me with his general awareness of the game and willingness to show up for the ball.

On the whole, after watching this game and also the other goal less draw at SB , I think Lincoln and Mansfield play a very similar style of football. Both sides are very hard to break down and very well disciplined all over the park. IMO, the only thing that Mansfield have over the Imps is their slightly better forward line, and I think this lack of a natural goalscorer will prove to be the reason why they won't win auto promotion come May. Still reckon they'll make the po's though, and l still wouldn't bet against them in the semis/final.

I watched our two games against Mansfield too, and that's who you lot reminded me of last night. Or at least, that's the only side in or around the play offs that plays a pretty similar IMO - tough to break down and not that exciting to watch but gets the job done, which is all that matters after all. Don't see anything wrong with it personally?

Me either mate we get results and that's all I'm bothered about but the Mansfield fans won't agree we play the same way I'm sure.
When we click properly we are a very decent side sadly not against you guys lol!

Correct. We might as well save everyone the hassle, take it in turns to forfeit the game 3-0 and move on. Let's at least get three points instead of two.

Bostwick's been really good for us. I kinda knew what we were getting but he's been better than expected. He's an absolute warrior. Him and Woodyard snuff most things out through the middle of the pitch and we'll have kept most of our clean sheets with those two in CM but they don't contribute a massive amount going forward, which is why we've brought in Freckington.

Early in the season he had obviously been told just to hook it over his head into the channels all the time but he's starting to get hold of the ball a bit more now. Not going to put through any lovely through balls but he'll get it into wide areas easy enough.

WOWW!!!

Managed to get news of the (predictable in retrospect) goal-less draw but only got the Derry news and a little whoop of joy when I tuned in here prior to a match report to see who played.

March back to the play offs starts on Tuesday......as we move into the Year of the Dog on my birthday tomorrow. OAP also kicks in - definitely a new era.
