Scunthorpe missed a trick today. Frustrated us all game but forgot to go for it in the last ten minutes.

If I were a neutral and you asked me which side was odds on to go down I couldn't of told you. Dispiriting, lacklustre rubbish from both sides. I think Scunthorpe may of had the better chances. One long shot swerved all over the place. Keeper did well to tip it over and you may have had one off the line.

Scunthorpe have taken four points from us this season. No disrespect meant but that is terrible from our point of view.

Sickening result but if you don't take your chances, it's to be expected.

Performance wise, much better from us. We pressed really well and created plenty, Evans and Lavery having good games since coming in from the cold.

But ultimately we don't have the quality in either box with a strike force who couldn't hit a barn door and a defence that gifts goals on the regular.

And now on top of a thoroughly miserable day on the pitch the club have just confirmed Tom Conlon needs an operation and is out for the rest of the season. So anyway when’s the right time to start the mid table thread…??
We’ve had some rotten luck this season, injury crisis we had with the strikers, covid postponements and losing DC like we have, it’s frustrating and another season in this dross league beckons.

That said we’ve thrown away silly points, today got to win that. Sutton, Oldham we could of won three games and lost!, Rochdale last week. Our results against the poor sides is pretty shoddy.

Considering the squad, performance levels first half of the season and investment it’s absolutely criminal for us not to make at least the top 7 this season and is a huge failure.

Time to reassess and try and plan to hit next season running. Feel for DC as his hard work has been undone but in fairness Crosby is a coach not a manager.

A draw probably about the right result - But we was again poor, reacted badly at certain moments in the game and don't look to have any sort of plan at all. The only saving grace is that Stevenage whilst being a bit better than us, are clearly similar to us in suffering from low confidence.

We let another goal in from a set play, our equaliser was borderline offside, Stevenages 2nd was well finished by Norris but our midfielder Ethan Coleman for some reason ducked from the goal kick to let the ball slip through, our 2nd game from a well taken Theo Archibald strike - which never looked like coming, the second half was a poor game between two poor sides low on confidence and Stevenage very nearly saw it out.

If we don't get a manager in we are fucked.

At least we scored twice again.

The best defences both at Sixfields today, so the inevitable 5 goal thriller occurred. We wore a special kits to commemorate the clubs 125th Anniversary. Set Piece FC was in full effect as our CB got his 7th and 8th league goals of the season to become our top scorer in the league this season.

Tranmere pushed really hard towards the end of the game, although far too late it seemed. Thought the penalty was a shocking decision. Tranmere looked good towards the end but were pretty pedestrian before that, dont think they will get the autos.

Huge 3 points for us to hopefully get us back on track.

Agree with all this, really cruising at 75 and a lucky break for Tranmere’s first and a soft pen for their second and all of a sudden we’re hanging on. Was a good day, good occasion with a bumper crowd of 7,300+ and the added atmosphere that goes with it. Normally it’s a damp squib when we have a bumper crowd but they certainly got their money’s worth today.

Massive win today and just stops the rot, onwards and upwards.

Well it’s now confirmed that Gibbo is also out until April at least. Given he’s out of contract there’s a solid chance he’s played his last game for us. When it rains it pours.

It has been desperately unlucky but also as a club our constant ability to shoot ourselves in the foot is unrivalled.

Well what a turnaround. A shockingly inept 45 followed by excellent character and desire.

Make no mistake about it, this is all down to Paul Simpson. He’s a fantastic manager and if he can keep this shower or shit in the league he deserves a medal.

Absolutely can’t believe this is happening to us. We were 100% down 2 weeks ago after Swindon dicked us, to get 3 wins in a row since then is mental.
Now we’ve given ourselves half a chance.

Incredible.

We're hardly a shower of shit anymore are we?

Yeah Gibbons is a blow, he drives us so much. Going into a tough run of fixtures with two key players out is a big miss.

Good job we got 50 points already!

Think Crawley need to be an honourary relegated team solely because they haven't beaten us this season

Will most likely be the only team to have not done that this season

Only going by the commentary, so Cobblers fans might be able to say whether the Hemmings disallowed goal at 2-0 was rightly ruled out? The commentators weren't impressed by Mr Martin the referee who usually looks like a slug on steroids.

These are still the same players that lost 7 in 8 or whatever it was and have been right down the bottom for most of the season. So yes it’s still a shower of shite. But Simmo is somehow managing to polish a turd.

The turnaround is down to Simmo. He deserves so much credit. What a manager.
If he keeps us up it will be as good a manager performance as I’ve seen.

Had to iFollow this one today because I've been laid up in bed with Pnuemonia since last Sunday, coughing up blood and being generally weaker than a Theo Robinson shot at goal.

We deserved a point from that I thought. Losing to a 96th min pen is a bit rubbish. Oh well. We were better today at least. Think will be okay when some of the injured players come back in

Hope you are feeling better soon Cas. Probably our best home performance of the season considering the opposition.

Our shocking recruitment, particularly in the striker department is costing us each week now.

Evans man of the match for us in my opinion

Typical it had to be Payne scoring the winner

Yeah I think it was one that’s always gonna get given, bit of an obvious shove from Hemmings. Don’t think he needed to do it as Horsfall (I think) got a bit caught under the ball.

Thought the referee was shite as well, went through periods of giving everything one way and then everything the other with no rhyme or reason.

Thank you, mate. Only thing holding back my recovery is lack of sleep!

I think it's a case of us just not been good enough up top. The keeper is an oddball tbh. He tends to make a great save then something like an error.

I think next season surely is when Bradford are back up towards the top of the league and pushing for league 1. Let's be honest a club your size shouldn't be down here with the dead men!

I know, it’s less prestigious than the FA Trophy, but it any chance to play at Wembley is exciting
Surely a Wembley appearance in the Pizza Trophy would be the last thing you want when you’re pushing for the play-offs or more?

I’ve personally been waiting 28 years and the club has been waiting 40 years to get to Wembley. I’ll take what I can get.

Plus winning is a habit, and it’s at most two extra games now.

I would take a day at Wembley over a playoff place.

Different situation for us, we're midtable andies with nothing but a very slim shot at a playoff spot this season, yeah the cup has been turned to shite but when you're one match away from a Wembley final (which we've never played at old or new) tough to not get excited at the prospect.

We are desperate to avoid Wembley after two play off defeats in three years. Still if it’s the only option to go up … As for the Pizza, wouldn’t be remotely interested.

I definitely think you should go for it and rest players in the League, particularly a week on Friday

Seeing Sutton is pretty much the last thing on my Football ‘bucket list’ (short of Wales winning the World Cup!) so I’m excited about the prospect should we manage to pull off an upset on Tuesday at Wigan
