Pitch at Woking. Tomorrow's game against Tranmere is OFF.

Very frustrating, particularly as I'm in the SE this weekend and would have tried to get to the game had it been on. Don't think Woking have many postponements.

Is there any reason for such an early inspection? From what I've read, the pitch has tended to freeze overnight but thaw out by lunchtime, so that would appear a better time to assess it's likely condition.

Assuming you'd be travelling down about this time, so saves a journey.

Very, very tinpot. Lol.

It's not even that cold. Even Braintree will get their game on ffs.

I can't remember the last time we had a home game postponed.

Suits us. More time to get reinforcements in and get your lot to travel down on a Tuesday night.

Sutton banned and Andy Cook only just back for the scheduled game. Rovers could well be stronger by the time we do get to play you. Tuesday night's a pain and the travelling support will be halved, but guessing home crowd size will also dip, meaning Woking lose out financially.

I dont think we have had a single home game postponed this season. Our usual winter break must be coming soon.

Its about 6c now in Woking same again tomorrow. With decent frost covers this should have been avoided?

Our game will be called off now you watch.

Last postponement I can remember us having due to weather was Brighton on Boxing Day 2010.

We, genuinely, sold our pitch covers a few weeks ago. There was an advert in the NLP for them. Last time we used them, about seven years ago, our game on New Year's Day (I think) was the only one on. However, the pitch was then ruined for the rest of the season because the grass had died or something.

The problem is that our South-facing MASSIVE stand covers an area of the pitch in shade and so cannot thaw out in time.

Currently around 2c here, down to -3 over night, only getting above 0c around midday tomorrow till about 5pm, when it will go back down below freezing. Plus it's almost always windy up on top of the hill, so windchill could make it pretty chilly.

But unlike tinpotters like Woking, we're a progressive, professional proper club and will be beating Braintree on our top quality pitch. And I'll be wearing SHORT SLEEVES.

It's a CONSPIRACY!

Last season all the tin potters were beating us, this year they're getting games cancelled.

Garry Hill says that calling the game off this early is easily the WORST decision he has ever seen to postpone a match.

It is freezing where I live, there is heavy frost on the ground, but the club is confident that the game will be on...despite the location of the ground high in the Cotswold Alps...if it is, it had better be worth it!

Just saw on Twitter that Shortwood's game is off but I reckon we'll be fine up on top having had the covers on and the sun now out.
