I like Bowery provided he has a goalscorer next to him.

Watching St Albans at Bishop's Stortford today, actually more entertaining than most of the Orient games I've seen.

Utterly abysmal, never in it at any point in the game, this fucking formation that he is persisting with is not working, why play one up front, it's miserable to watch, we look like the away side.

So we go down 2-1 and he takes off one striker for another and puts a central midfielder wide right? Is he for real? Amond has been living off scraps for weeks, crying out for a partner. I'm seriously starting to worry about Hignett after today, he has no clue how to change the outcome of a match when it's not going out way. For the love of Christ play TWO FUCKING STRIKERS AT HOME.

First half we should have been a couple up,but my god,the 2nd was a joke.
Taking off Amond was ridiculous, the only player getting into decent positions,Paynter contributed nowt,as usual.
The defence is laughable, after Os levelled, there was only going to be one winner. The 2nd & 3 rd goals you knew exactly what the forward was going to do,but our thick as fuck defenders didn't

We should've been losing by two or three at half time. Almond was guilty of missing of 3 very good headers.

We had periods of pressure, but only had an effort off the bar to show for our efforts, then another goal conceded from a set piece.

Second half Carsons fuck up allowed us back in and Hartlepool capitulated, their defending went to pot and we took our chances which Palmer did well to put away. Cisak made an important save at 1-0 as well.

That's the first time since Boxing Day last year we've come from behind to win and the first away from home since Feb 2015.

We weren't great, but we had a bit of luck and took our chances. Be interesting to see if we take any confidence into next week.

Thought Atangana and Janse were our best players.

Story of Amond's Pools career basically, misses chance after chance.

Orient looked decent for me albeit with some help from our clowns in blue and white, nowhere near a bottom 3 side, nowt to worry about.

Orient will, find it a bit more difficult against a team that can actually defend. We gifted them the points,as we did with Carlisle.

To be fair to Hignett, we did play 2 strikers at home for 70 minutes of the match on Saturday. And we looked a lot more shit than we did when we played with 1 striker.

Coulda/shoulda been 3 or 4 goals up at half time, despite not playing great. Embarrassing substitution to make, no leader on the pitch, soon as the first Orient goal went in, heads went down and you knew what was coming.

Honestly PoolieTom I got the impression we weren't playing any sort of formation, the midfield 3/front 3 were all a jumble, occasionally two up top and often just Amond on his own drowning. People talk about defensive errors costing us but we're just not clinical enough up front, Amond fluffed two great chances in the first half that didn't even hit the target and Allesandra's one on one was embarrassing for a striker.

Pressure is really on for Hignett, 3 wins in 14 and our last home win was against York in April, the guy talks a good game but the proof is in the pudding and we're not very good.

Mate I think there's been a practical joke pulled out, Jay Simpson has spent thousands on prosthetics to look like Ollie Palmer. There's no way Palmer would score 3 in 2.
Having watched the highlights he looked like Messi that day, reminds me of when Orient came up to BP last season and Palmer played a blinder then.

That link shoddycollins posted on the first page shows that we are the most clinical team in the division - other than that I do agree we looked absolutely all over the place. We needed some sort of organiser on the pitch, again. Every game at home this season has been an almost carbon copy of the one before it. Look okay, not brilliant, these are shit and there for the taking, oo we've scored, should be a couple infront now, make a sub Higgy this is going downhill, go on Higgy make a sub now, damn they've scored, what sort of sub is that!?

Palmer is the ultimate 'always score against Hartlepool' type player. Bit of a donkey, not very good, fumbly, should be in x Defenders pocket him, and wham he scores.
