We found it funny, mostly.

I'm sure when Hitler spoke to his supporters he came across as a nice human being (not that I'm likening Sutton to a Nazi regime or anything). Wayne Shaw's a lovely chap too I bet ;)

Judging by the cryfest on the internet/social media from those of a hooped persuasion last time Sutton and K's were in the same division, I doubt K's fans found it funny. (Nor did Sutton fans.) It was a silly situation at the time. And it's even sillier 14 years after the initial event

Wayne is, as it happens. Just a shame he acted like a total idiot one night (provoked or not, he was a total idiot that one night).

Depends on the nature of the abuse, doesn't it? Lighthearted BANTZ is one thing, nasty stuff is quite another (I wouldn't condone the latter). I would have thought the majority of the needling from Ks fans fell into the former category but I'm not anywhere near enough of a regular match-goer to know all the ins and outs of the story.

Even if it's lighthearted BANTZ, I still think fans can get precious if a player reacts in a similar lighthearted way. However most of the needling from K's fans that I heard wasn't lighthearted. Unless long, loud renditions of 'Steve McKimm is a wanker' is considered particularly lighthearted. Not the worst in the world, but tiresome. And embarrassing in front of the family.

Anyway, moving on from the precious Sutton fan (love you really Jarred )...

Today the mighty K's host league leaders & the only remaining country bumpkin farmer team of the Isthmian Premier in the form of Leiston. Given current form I'm expecting a tied game.

Well, we've only gone & beaten the team that were top of this league before kick off. A goal just before half time was enough to give us all the points & move us on up to 6th place.

Also, we're now undefeated in the league for 10 games since the start of September.

1-0 win over Enfield tonight and up to the heady heights of fourth (and only actually 3 pts off the top). There are a few teams in the top half with games in hand though so it's all looking rather tight.

I see on twitter that we're rumoured to have put in a 7 dayer for Dan Sweeney

He's only just left us for Dulwich at the start of October because "he's always wanted to play for Dulwich"... so lets see how much he's always wanted to play for them when the chance of more money & National League South football comes along. Mercenaries.

Time for a quick league table (top 10) update I think! Mainly just to document here that we've broken in to the play off spots....

1. Sweeney come, Sweeney go? (PLD: 19, PTS: 36)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Dowson's high flying beavers (PLD: 19, PTS: 34)
3. The second best team on Canvey Island (PLD: 19, PTS: 34)
4. Not lost in the last 12 league games-tonian (PLD: 19, PTS 33)
5. The division's last farmer side (PLD: 17, PTS 33)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. Tolfrey's still harder then all your fans (PLD: 16, PTS: 28)
7. You can take the McKimm out of Sutton, but you can't take the Sutton out of McKimm (PLD: 14, PTS: 30)
8. Bill & ricky town... I can't think of anything else relative to say (PLD: 20, PTS: 29)
9. The best of the Isthmian Premier newbies (PLD: 19, PTS: 28)
10. Lazy fuckers with a million games in hand (PLD: 15, PTS: 27)

According to this article, http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/11/0...rest-mounting-in-prolific-dulwich-hamlet-mid/ up to a dozen league clubs from championship down to league 2 are interested in signing Sweeney. He's certainly added balance to our midfield and he is a very good player, and we'd miss him if he goes. He's also scored in all 6 games he's played for us. Most of all though, his inclusion has freed up Carew and Waldren to get forward more and produced a much better balance in midfield. We've been playing some lovely footy lately! Of course we'd miss him if he goes but think we do have other payers (E.g. Jack Dixon now he's fit) who can do a similar job to Dan.

For you K's fans (since i read on your forum that someone's asking!!) we released Dean Lodge in September due to his work commitments, so I assume he's too busy for footy at the moment! Fortunately, Clunis is just back from a lengthy injury and Rhys Murrell-Williamson is terrifying all and sundry on the other wing. I can't understand why H&Y didn't want to play M-W! They've apparently asked him to go back, but as he's on dual registration and wants to play for us instead, he's staying!!

If Sweeney does move to a league club, he could be the 3rd player to do so in a matter of months following on from Fraser Shaw (Orient) and possibly young Shawn McCoulsky (Bristol City) who came through our youth system and played a number of first-team games last year. I can understand players like Dan Sweeney coming to Dulwich even if he's not being paid any more than he was getting at K's because we now have a very regular stream of players moving into the Football League and a manager who's very good at getting the best from his players. I'm amazed and very grateful that Gavin Rose is still with us!

Probably because he was largely ineffective and has now found his level?

You don't release Deano. Deano releases you.

It's been 2 months & he's not rocked back up at Kingstonian yet... think we need to fill out a missing persons report, which is convenient as we are currently away at Not Police!

Awkward that a Romanian lad (who's yet to play for us) has gone onto dual-registration to Met Plod and ended K's unbeaten run...

Murrell-Williiamson may well have been ineffective at H&Y, but I suspect that was nothing to do with his ability! Fraser Shaw was ineffective at Billericay, but after 1/2 season at Dulwich he's the regular left back at Leyton Orient!

Another good win today and astounding crowd of over 1,400! It's hard to believe what's gong on at Dulwich. I didn't manage to get to the game, but from reports we were excellent again and should have scored many more.

Thought some of you might find this Guardian article interesting/amusing! http://www.theguardian.com/football...-joy-of-six-hipsters-favourite-football-clubs,

Affectionately,

Dulwich Hipster
Hendon's Twitter feed was very complimentary about your performance!

Rhys didn't make much of a mark at Sutton either tbf

Dulwich have signed former K's striker Ryan Moss from moneybags Margate.

How many ex K's y'all smuggled over to Champion Hill now?

Urgh. Dulwich are going to win this league, aren't they? They've obviously got a lot more dosh than everybody else.

There's always one isn't there! At least their money is legit & organic I suppose (much like the food of choice of the bearded Hamlet support).

I've come to terms that the only way we'll ever get out this league through the play offs... given the situation with us at the moment the window for that is ever decreasing too.

Dulwich really going for it by signing Moss.

Considering he was struggling in the Conference South its not at all surprising to see him drop back into the Rymans. Very good Ryman forward but stepping up a level hes very mediocre

Cant imagine he's come cheap though....id imagine he was on very good coin at Moneygate

Looks like Terry Brown freeing up the cash to bring in another striker. No surprise really, Margate like ourselves have struggled for goals thus far.

That said, great signing for the Hamlet.

Something we're gonna have to do sooner or later

None of our forwards are exactly setting the world a light at this level.....changes will need to be made

I agree! I think he's a great signing for us! Callum Willock has left the club to make way for Moss which is a shame as he's very decent player and scored 7 in 19 games for us. But, I think Moss really is a top-notch striker at this level; the one thing we've been missing the last couple of years. We have goals coming from all over the pitch, but a prolific striker like Moss will really make us firm favourites to win the league this year now methinks. I also notice that he has a beard! How appropriate for us hipster types!
