After Flitcroft we have decided to cease the role of DOF and let Darren Moore just get on with it.

I think that’s more down to the fact that flitcroft just cease in the role of football full stop.

There’ll be some club that will hear all his favourite little corporate phrases like “aligned with our values” irrespective of whether they can kick a ball straight and think oh that sounds good so expect him rock up somewhere at some point. Basically only really worked when DC was here as he’d just cut through all that and call out anyone for being shit and then think about it after.

No real stand out favourites next season. You'd expect Bradford to finally get their shit together. They seem to be getting closer. Chesterfield should be there or thereabouts and obviously MK dons or Donny if they don't go up. Swindon always tend to be strong when we're in the same league as them but look a bit of a basket case. Carlisle and Cheltenham I think will do well. Tranmere seem way off it at the moment. Grimsby could be a surprise package.

We need to wait and see. We've got a serial bunch of losers with no heart or battle in them at the club. So, if we can weed some of these out and bring some battlers, experience and heart , we might do OK. You'd expect Moore to have a bit of pull for players and we'll have one of the bigger budgets. It has to be used wisely though.

Skysports has Chesterfield as early favourites with Carlisle and Port Vale as joint second favourites.

That is mental. Maybe just the Paul Cook effect.

On skybet (if that's what you mean) they only have Chesterfield and the relegated clubs for some reason.

We would've been a play off team this season had we not sold Al Hamadi to Ipswich in January. Next season expectations will be top 7 . Most of the deadwood has gone . The recruitment was decent last season so if we can get that right again we should have a good season. There are still question marks about our manager Johnny Jackson however .

IF, big if, but if Funso Ojo stays and he shows better attitude than he did after Crosby left, then he could potentially be the best player in the league next season. He's absolute quality on his day.

If we get the sulking mardarse, he can get gone and good riddance.

If he sorts his attitude out, then great.

Him, Garrity and Chislett would be the best midfield three in the league and it wouldn't even be close.

Would certainly be a high quality midfield at this level, ironically we could be left with none of them come August, hopefully Moore's bullish attitiude to them not being for sale will prove correct.

20 plus goals from midfield in L1 plus Funso pulling the strings should be promotion capable... but thats only if we sort the defence and strike force out! and of course Ojo's attitude!

Think people were saying this a year ago to be fair.

Although if the Year of the Stag can finally happen, then Year of the Fish is equally likely.

No - Relegation fodder , skint , with a hovel of a ground and no hope ..... too many people were being nice about us last pre -season and tipping us to do well it didn't go well at all ; the recruitment has to be much improved and we need to be written off as it always seems to go better that way .

Always been the same in this league to be fair, been League Two North for as long as I can remember. End result is you'll get all the Northern lot touching themselves because they take a couple of thousand fans half an hour down the road every other week. Think I saw something that suggested it was actually Colchester who had the furthest to travel next season - whether that's true or not I'm not sure but could see it being the case.

Bit odd to see such a big gap in the map to divide the South and the rest though, would've been even worse if MK Dons had gone up.

Don't forget us. It may be a 'northern' division next year, but only three clubs (Colchester, Gillingham, and Bromley) will cover more miles!
