Happy with that, he's very visibly in control with a clear vision.

I'm sure Chelsea fans thought the same on the 10th of June 2013. :fish:

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Remember when Moyes did his first presser and all the United fans on here were drooling.

It's only a fucking press conference, lads.

Happy with that
Lmao, what could he possibly have said that you wouldn't have approved of?

Maybe it's cos I've not had a new manager to think about for 20 years but I can't imagine having an emotional reaction of any kind over a press conference. He can't lose or win any matches at a press conference.

One more signing to come after ibra Baily mkhy, no faffing about with Rooney in midfield (he either puts the ball in the net, creates or he's out the team), honestly and directly answered question on giggsy.

The devil is in the details, friend.

About the not being able to imagine an emotional reaction to a pressers, I think Wenger has emotionally abused the shit outa your fans tbf, it's better to be numb now ;) :D

Looks like Mourinho is already creating a negative atmosphere within the squad. Pretty disrespectful how they have treated Martial. Taking away his shirt number without telling him...disgusting. And now he responds with changing his header and profile pics to this..

I don't think Mourinho chooses the squad numbers mate.

Pre-seasons are always good for tedious stories but this Martial number change thing is incredible. His AM9 brand is in complete disarray. For those interested he is now following Manchester United's Twitter and Instagram profiles again and claims he was "just trying to make his followers to following ratio look better".

In all honesty it is a bit shitty from the club if no one consulted him about his number changing, but I'm sure everything will be ok.

Spoilt brat footballer throws tantrum over having the number on the back of his shirt changed. Ferguson would have told him to shut the fuck up and severely bollocked him for making it any sort of news outside of the club. What a complete nothing story.

He's reaction has been pretty childish, but he has every right to be annoyed at the club for sabotaging his brand without even informing him that Zlatan would be getting his number.

As manager he'd have final say if there were disputes.

On shirt numbers for a club the size of Manchester United? I highly doubt it. Seems like more of a marketing or executive decision (Zlatan #9 will sell more shirts). Also the players were not asked to sort it out between themselves, so Mourinho had nothing to do with this decision. Zlatan simply got the number he wanted without Martial being informed.

'Manchester United's treatment of Bastian Schweinsteiger will put others off Old Trafford': Bayern Munich chief slams midfielder's blacklisting

Already dragging the Man United name through the mud. Disgusting and classless treatment.

Here in Germany we don't listen anymore to Karl Heinz Rummenigge's statements (at least those who are not Bayern Fans). It's the same with Franz Beckenbauer back then. Only hot air comes out of his mouth.

Mourinho is simply worried he could end up with a player that has more grey hair than him.

Steven has been quiet on this issue as Schweinsteiger is his favourite player, but obviously his new found infatuation with Mourinho is keeping him from commenting on this sorry state of affairs.

"It's clear bullying," Slovenia FifPro member Dejan Stefanovic told the BBC.

"In Slovenia, we would have indicted Mourinho and asked for the highest penalty - three years in prison."

Can't say I'm bothered at all about Schweinsteiger, he's a legend of the game but I never warmed to him as a United player. The whole flying to and back from Germany once a week didn't sit well and he simply doesn't have the legs anymore to be the midfield enforcer that made him so important to great Munich and Germany sides. And his passing isn't good enough to rely on that a la Carrick.

Absolutely!
After the WC 2014 where he fighted brilliantly in the final he was nearly most of the time injured. And Rummnenigge is a hypocrite with his remarks about ManU and Mourinho. He was more than happy that Schweinsteiger left Bayern Munich to ManU because he wouldn't play much under Pep Guardiola anymore (if ever again). So Pep would have sorted him out, too, but because Schweini is a legend at Bayern you can't do that without an outcry. So the offer from ManU was the rescue from this dilemma for Bayern and Rummenigge. At ManU he isn't a legend and only another teamplayer and if Mourinho doesn't see a chance for him in the team anymore he has every right to say it to him. Maybe he could have chosen another way to tell it to him, I don't know.
But it's a fact that Schweinsteiger isn't the player anymore he was (until 2014). It was the best decision that the retired from the National team. In 2018 he wouldn't have a chance to be in the team. It's only a bit sad that his stupid handball in the semi final against France was the last "remarkable" action from him in the German team. He should have had a better finish of his international career.

I know pre-season is the favourite time for Liverpool fans because it's before the inevitable depression has set in but, as a non-Liverpool fan, I take no notice of shit spouted by the British media in this time.

Patiently awaiting the actual football, though.

Hope this helps mate.

Ups and downs to be honest mate. Dire football but we got to a cup final and actually won it last season, perhaps Klopp learned a thing or two by watching it.

I only watched them once this season and it was them getting humped by Roma, so my depression is well and truly already started, particularly with having to field Mignolet up against a full strength Barca on Saturday - yikes!! Will it matter? Will it balls, as even if we do bend over for Messi, Suarez and Neymar, it won't matter one jot once this season is over and we're back in the CL and have a trophy in the bag as well. :hesk:
