I try and do that with most of the jokes I crack, Chris :D

Fair enough.

Tbf I think our match threads on here usually go a lot better then last season on 1ff, when having a thread covering all matches in the national league diluted eerything and meant actual discussion about specific games got lost. I don't want to trawl through pages of petty arguing between fans of 2 or 3 well supported clubs trying to find something about our game..

Ahhhhh so you are posting about me again Adam?! Crowbarring it in to yet another thread! Yikes! I love the irony of each any every post young man :)

But seriously, should I be worried? When will it stop? At least my self confessed obsession is with someone in the public eye lol.

You live in Manchester right? (I think you've mentioned that once or twice before), so hopefully that means there is circa 80 miles between us. Phew!

Thank **** Mansfield play at home on the same day as the Stylish Magpies.

Whoever said I was speaking about you .

Unless you've just admitted that you're obsessed with us.

No they aren't. Had a look through and can see hardly any, in any of them. You made that up.

As one of the clubs with enough fans on here to keep match threads going I say keep it as it is. Couldn't give a fuck about what other threads do.

Anyone who doesn't like it needs to pipe the fuck down. No time for rabble rousers. It's been decided that this is how things are done, get on with it.
Perhaps as one of the “big guns” on this forum you and your FGR comrades might consider getting involved in other, less popular threads. With your well earned reputation and ceaseless banter I’m sure it would make the forum a much better place.

´Why? Unlike you I don't hang around on threads or forums that don't involve my club.

My amazing bantz is not worthy of wasting on randomers.

If you don’t want to you don’t have to. Just a suggestion to busy the place up a bit. Don’t cry

I'm sure what this forum REALLY needs is my amazing bantz on EVERY thread. But I honestly can't be arsed. If you want to liven it up, feel free.

I don't want to be a dictator, but some common sense must prevail here. Some clubs have only 1 or 2 active posters on here, so there's no need to start a separate match thread when this particular game will be of interest to only 3/4 people at the most. Common sense applies to the well supported clubs too, because if nobody bothered to start a match thread in a whole week's time then don't start one on the Saturday morning. The fact that nobody bothered is a good indicator that the thread will be a flop.

As for those clubs that are well 'represented' on here, the main offenders are the Crewe fans. They've got a good number of fans on this forum but they've got to be the ficklest bunch around. Look back to August when they thought they had a decent chance this year, and look at their match threads now they're on a poor run and only in a lower mid table place. Sorry guys, but fans of sides like Lincoln, Grimsby, us, Mansfield, Carlisle, Luton and 2 or 3 others continue to contribute to the forum even when their lot are having a poor season.

Yours, J.Goebbels

PS - This is just my personal opinion, as I'm not one to tell people what to do.

Chris, your insistence that we should only read the forum that involves our clubs is just wrong. Reason is that many of us like to keep up to date with events elsewhere. I know I do. And I believe you do too since you're also a Man U fan ;)

What I don't like though is someone posting on other forums just to take the piss. Like for example, when a NL league fan comes over here to laugh at your lot's poor start to the season.

Care to mention who you were talking about then?? No, I didn't think so.

Us????? Steve Evans !!!! You know Fat Boy!

How many times do I have to state it? You even quoted his name yourself! My god how stupid are you? I could draw you picture if it would help ;)

Seriously if you find that so hilarious, can I recommend live comedy. It will blow your mind Adam. Blow your mind.

Must try harder than

It had to be my favourite Shit-Stirrer-in-Chief, Martino, who takes my "likes to posts ratio" past the infamous 50% mark, hopefully temporarily.

I apologise for any cheap trolling that may be detectable in the rest of my posts this week. I'll try to do better.

Revealing what the thread has brought out after a quiet weekend for most of us - especially the underlying polital views on life (from communist through socialist and the full range to dictatorship, nationalist and anarchist) that are revealed on our individual approaches to helping the situation (or exploiting it).

I didn't even realise there was a problem. The 6 posts in our Yeovil thread summed up the quality of the match, therefore incorrect to flag it as an issue in my opinion.

I refuse to post in the general thread when most of it is irrelevant to me. We'll stick with our 6 post threads, thanks.

Well, it was also decided officially via means of a vote to not have them but as previously mentioned, this thread is about how to make the best of a bad situation not about the injustice of the how the current system has been implemented.

You just concentrate on enjoying the match day threads while you're still here though buddy, because you'll probably be back to the all in one ones next season.

Also, your request for more vegetable jokes in the FGR threads has been noted.

I think one of the problems with the ‘vote’ was that the question was very ambiguous and many folk actually voted opposite to what they really wanted to vote for.

I don't think that was the case at all, it was very clearly labelled if I recall correctly and there was a discussion about it in the thread that denoted what the poll choices were. However, I must stress we are not here to discuss that now. I can make a 'Threaxit Means Threaxit' thread for you if you wish to chat about that, though?

I’d definitely chat about that in a thread.

Because nobody checks out, let alone read, the matchday sub forum.
Well, yes. It’s the dumping ground for all the old shit that gets pumped out over the course of a season. A repository of broken dreams. Dear old TA ( god rest his tired old soul) used to be as keen as a whippet to chuck stuff in there. Day after the game it would be gone. Nice and clean the forum looked too.

We actually contribute more when we're having a poor season. Never was the forum busier than when it was between Us, Mansfield, Tranmere, Cambridge and Hartlepool for relegation.

This.

A pointless sub-forum IMO (not just in L2 but L1 and whichever other forum has it).
Then why not just get rid of the sub-forum and move all the threads already there into the main forum?

No idea, it's been there for ages since the forum got up and running and while I was down in the NL. I did raise the points a few weeks ago in the staff area that I thought it was pointless and to be fair, I think TA stopped moving things. It was no biggy for me, I just didn't think it was needed.

I'd be more than happy to move everything back in and get rid of it. The threads will presumably just mingle in with all the olds threads several pages down anyway.
