Cody McDonald has signed for Wimbledon.
Really thoroughly pissed off at that.
He took a bit of stick from some of our fans last year and some were quick to say he was past his best etc fucking etc. He has only just turned 31 ffs!!
The truth is he was trying his plums off in a shit team, feeding off scraps.
He is still sharp and was far and away the best striker at our football club.
Great signing for Dons and look after him.
He will get a great reception at our place.

Bye Cody

Ben Whiteman finally announced on loan from the Blades 2 weeks after Wilder said he was coming. Highly rated midfielder

I fear a lot will categorise him like this just because it's happened on the same day. Already on Twitter the knives are out for Eaves, poor kid doesn't stand a chance with our rabble.

Well our bedwetting moron faction have already written off McDonald too so it looks like we're both in for a hard season.

Yeah, average. Probably below average for L1. Over rated by our fans 'cos he's a likeable guy and was plucked from obscurity, but if you speak to some of our fans you'd think we've gone years without conceding a goal. He's certainly not been the worst but he's played his part in a really terrible defence over the last few years.

I think he has plenty of room for improvement and as a late starter will probably keep getting better for a few years to come. However, I get the feeling you'll probably be disappointed if you expect him to go straight in and have a huge impact.

Fans were calling for a target man all of last season. Now we've got one, they're moaning about the goal record  If he was big, powerful and a focal point AND a clinical goalscorer, then he'd be playing Premier League.

Eaves is big, inept and couldn't trap a bag of cement.

He's National League at best.

Cody McDonald has signed for Wimbledon.
Absolutely gutted cody has gone, was hung out to dry last season by being played as a lone striker but Still managed 12 goals most of which he had to create himself.

If Wimbledon can get him the service or a big man to play off he will easily get 15-20 goals this season.
Good luck to cody will be weird seeing him at priestfield in an opposing shirt but will no doubt get his name sung by the rainham end.
Legend is banded about to much at time but cody is a club legend for gillingham

Ball now confirmed. Bid in for Proctor. Still want O'Grady and that Cook from tranmere.

Ball the only signing I'm happy with.

Squad will be one the best on the league even doing it on the cheap.

Still want Stewart out.

Im not even that fussed on Ball either, just an average league 1 striker at best and a big step down from Danny Ward.

Looks like we gonna have to hope JCH has his major break through and let all his talent out and get us the goals.

Not sure he'll have a big man to play off unless you count Tyrone Barnett, who somehow is still with us, and there are persistent rumours of Barry Corr. Otherwise strikers this year will be Appiah, Taylor, McDonald, Poleon (maybe) and a couple of yoof. Going to be lots of quick movement rather than hoofing it up this season.

Barnett will be off soon and maybe one other with a likely target man coming in.

Can't believe serial losers like Jon Guthrie and Ollie Turton have somehow blagged their way to League One clubs. Their last four seasons are 19th in L1, 20th in L1, 24th in L1 and 17th in L2 ffs!

In addition, it's also hilarious how Max "big time" Clayton has made his next big move by signing for Blackpool on a free. Got a Crewe Alex reunion of sub-par players going on up on the Fylde coast there...

Reports from the Carlisle fans don't look great, hit and miss with a few clangers thrown in. Similar to Etheridge and O'Donnell though and I trust cutler.
Seen him first hand a few times at FP. One game he couldn't hold onto anything. Spilt shot after shot and led to our winner. In the game last season at FP he was like superman. Think we had something like 20 shots on goal and he was just everywhere... Looks like he's gonna frustrate the hell out of you saddlers next season as he'll be motm one week then dropping clangers the next!

Rotherham are interested in Michael Bostwick apparently. Would be devastated to see him go, one of our only players with any passion.

Sky Sports reporting we're in negotiations with Blackburn over Bradley Dack, we want £600k up front with add ons to £1.2m, they're willing to pay no more than £400k up front but are willing to negotiate extras.

Sounds like a decent signing if we can keep Ness fit. Any reason in particular why he was released or just fitness?

I think he'll be a league 1 version of Smith/Donaldson last year who were our 'squad' midfielders. Definitely an upgrade by the sound of it. Onwards and upwards :2thumb:

For me he is just not good enough for our ambitions of the top 6 finish. In many of the games he played, he was protected by other midfielders, eg Dawson and Bishop, both of whom are better than him. He has his fans, but I am just not one of them. Maybe he can get fit and shine on the south coast. His poor fitness must have played a big part in why we let him go.

Wigan fans starting to get angry now after hearing the Dack to Bradford rumour. They're signing the likes of Whittingham and Dack and we've signed Cheyenne Dunkley and a 19 year old kid released by Charlton who will probably go into the development squad. I know who I'll be back to get in the top two, and right now it's not us.

I wish they were our players, but I think you mean Blackburn. Although I think we inquired about Dack as well until we saw the price.

Haven't heard anything from this end about that but i hope it's true because he's a decent utility player for this division which is what we need.

We've just sold Danny Ward today for nearly 2 million so i should imagine we're starting to put a few bids in for players now.

"The Peterborough Telegraph understands League One rivals Rotherham United have stepped up their bid to sign transfer-listed defender Michael Bostwick."

Paul Taylor signed from Posh on a one year deal. Meant to be skilful but has a scoring record similar to a goalkeeper it seems, also looks like the worlds biggest chav from our press photos.

Man is a typical scouse pikey and used to have drug issues apparently. He had a poor scoring record the second time round for us because he was the only player that wanted to attack and found himself in midfield too much. Great player but very selfish, doesn't like passing.

Whoops, my apologies. To be honest 400k up front with promotion bonuses for Dack sounds like a steal to me. Gillingham wanted 2 million last year. I'd have him in a heartbeat, Nick Powell won't be here in September and he'd be an ideal replacement.

We're holding on for a bit more than 400k I believe. Still, for a player who's out of contract in a year I guess it's not the worst deal in the world. The 2 million bids came when we were top of the league and looking strong, he was the best player in the league by a distance plus the security of an extra 18 months on the contract. In my opinion it was worth the gamble keeping hold of him at the time, and although hindsight suggests that we should've taken the money, I'm glad we showed some ambition back then.

Jesus christ how does he still manage to find a league 1 club. We had him on loan about 4 or 5 years ago and he was shit then, he's nippy and agile so he can get out of tight areas but a terrible footballer and finisher and also incredibly selfish from what i can remember.
