Reading between the lines of our manager's comments it is nowhere near our valuation and the rumours are it was an offer worth upto £1m. Imo £1m would be a minimum for the upfront fee with very significant add ons and a good sell on clause.

They usually buy players from non league and the Sunday leagues other wise known as Ireland and Scotland, so they won't be used to paying with anything other than chocolate buttons. They do incredibly well in the Championship considering.

We are about to sign Gboly Ariyibi on loan from Forest after his loan spell at MK Dons was cut short. Their fans seemed to rate him and we still are crying out for pace and width so I will be happy with that! First game we have is them tomorrow also so hopefully he is registered in time.

I'm glad they piss money up the wall like that on 'proven' players, it allows us to hoover up good, young players from lower divisions who are equally as good.

Sheff Wednesday are a prime example of how not to do it, spent about £35m in the last three years, they're currently 17th and have an average squad age of about 30 so will recoup fuck all on them.

We have to thank Leeds for paying such a ridiculous fee, as we've got over 1m for an add on apparently. We've somehow made a profit now on a player who we signed for 2.5m, who is one of the worst players we've had in the past 15 years and probably our worst ever signing pound for pound. If he's going for 4.5m then Sam Morsys value must be ridiculous because he was far superior at Championship level.

To be fair we’ve been “linked” with loads of players but so far we’ve only actually tried to get five players. Two have joined us (Walker, Vaughan) and the other three have gone elsewhere (Moult, Bryan, Mellor). Personally I only think we need a cover defender and a CM to replace Evans so I’m not sure why we’re getting linked with every half decent player in the league.
