It really will be a busy day for us… Kaine Kesler-Hayden also supposedly incoming from Villa after a good loan spell at Swindon.

Nooooo!! I was hoping he would come back to us. Cracking player. Not the best defensively and his delivery is suspect, and he has a tendancy to dive in the opponents box. But as an attacking wing back he's a cracking player!

Hylton is still playing?!

Cowley tried to sign him four years or so ago and he was crocked then!

How long is Ironside out for? Didn’t realise he was injured…he was the one I was worried about for tomorrow night. Assume Hoolahan won’t play as he played on Saturday?
Neither will play tomorrow night.

We'll come for a point but I think you'll beat us to be honest. Unbeaten in Jan but this will be a game too far for us.

A glorified cheerleader for us really. Comes on every now and again to shithouse away a few minutes at the end of games which he is still very good at. Huge character so some value in that but…yeah.

For some reason we gave him a 2 year deal after stayed up first season in the championship. He has scored this season though. It was from about an inch from the line though!

Signed on a 2 1/2 year deal hopefully he can find the form he had at Spurs youth level

We could be the latest port of call for Middlesbrough's Lewis Wing apparently. Has been on loan at Wednesday but not been making the team recently. We've obviously given up on Rotherham's Lindsay.

We're signing Glen Rea from Luton. Another CM, interesting. Don't know how good he is though, played over 40 games last season. If we get promoted, you'd imagine that a Shinnie/Rea CM would be decent for the Championship.

Rakeem Harper of Ipswich linked with Dale on loan. Is he any good, and what sort of midfielder is he?

(Defensive mid probably more needed by us than attacking)

He has been awful. Just can’t seem to do even the simplest things right. Getting rid and freeing up a loan space is the best thing we can do.

He’s a defensive midfield player, sits in front of the back line and screens things nicely. Loves a tackle, loves a yellow card and great at cutting out and intercepting passes.

Gets it and gives it to someone more skilful nothing more, nothing less.

Been exposed in a few games at championship level more recently as he is technically not the best on the ball, but he was huge when we won this league a few years back now and his return from injury in the great escape season finally gave us some defensive solidity to build from. Really hope he does well for you as he’s been a big big part of us for a while but we’ve just sort of moved a little bit now in terms of style

Marcus Browne confirmed on a permanent deal from Middlesborough.

We have another already done apparently but the club are dragging out the announcements.

Possible another 2 or 3 in as well.

Oisin Smyth, a midfielder from Dungannon Swifts is reportedly one of the 3/4. Some on our forum are claiming Hayden Roberts is another possible loan.

Done deal from sources down here £180k gutted he's going but we need the money
180k is a bargain from our side mate from what I’ve seen against us.. even with 6 months left. But we’ve been there with needing the money.. we lost decent players who terminated contracts etc when we went into admin. Horrible. As long as the club survives and you can begin to rebuild that’s the main thing. Harris is a surprisingly good appointment considering the embargo and league place.

£180k is more than fair given he only has 5 months left on his contract, hopefully some decent sell on clauses in there too. Hopefully clears the transfer embargo related covid loan too.

Good player is Kyle, best of luck to him.

Absolutely a bargain at £180k which should help pay off the loan and end the embargo, think you had to get him this window as would expect a lot more teams in for him for nothing in the summer, very happy with harris just hope he can give us a fighting chance of survival do think its to late though

He's a skillful player with a great shot and decent set pieces but he can't play wing back because he lacks concentration and lets players in behind him.
If he had any pace he could easily start for a team in the championship, alas pace is difficult to coach.

Anyone at Bolton hearing the same?
Just been confirmed by our local journo that we didn’t pay a fee for Sadlier. Which is a bit of a surprise. Obviously just wanted him off the wage bill.

I really hope hedoes better for you than he did for Ipswich. I loved watching him play at ours.

A question for people in the know. If you have a sell on clause, does it only apply to the initial club selling? I'm thinking about Dele Alli. It doesn't look like he's going from Spurs so if he runs down his contract and moves on a free, I presume that is the sell on clauses fucked and we will get nothing in the future. :ffs:

Woefully mismanaged by that balloon we call a manager so he can shoe horn in his favourites.

Blackpool still bidding for Cameron Brannagan but still way below the £1.25m release clause (apparently pushing 7 figures now) that they failed to trigger but this clause is no longer active. Our value of him will be way above that now I'd expect and Cam isn't pushing for a move. I just hope we tell them that they've missed their chance and he isn't for sale.

If we head back down to league 2 after six seasons away, then our chairman, CEO, head of recruitment and finally Steve Cotterill can all fuck off out of the club.

The summer transfer window and now this one have been nothing short of an embarrassment from us. We’ve got enough quality, but we haven’t got anywhere near enough bodies to cope with staying up. Some weeks we’re having to field two GK’s and 3/4 youth players on the bench. It’s not good enough!

We desperately need to bring back Jon Nolan and hopefully Dan Cowley to. We’ve certainly got the funds for this is just whether bully boy Cotterill can persuade them to join. I have my doubts. Missed out on a lad from Coventry (only the hundredth time we’ve missed out on a player recently).

Another important factor whether we stay up or not is whether we can hold onto Dan Udoh come 11pm. Championship teams are sniffing around but it’ll take a big offer.

The ‘Bull In The Barne’ (pub in Shrewsbury town centre) has even managed a better January transfer window than us with the signing of Roberto Carlos.

Important afternoon/evening ahead for Salop. I suspect we’ll sign nobody despite Cotterill saying he tried for 20+ players last minute.

He'll be sold before he runs down his contract. If he doesn't go to Everton this window he'll go in the summer.
