Birmingham Mail reporting the Stacey fee is actually more like 750k which seems eminently more likely than the 1.7 million that was reported prior! I guess the other figure is with all add ons perhaps.

Id honestly still sell for that price with JJ waiting as his back up, I dont think it weakens us and its still decent money. If he improves we probably make a lot more off sell ons etc as well. Obviously like if we could squeeze a bit more but not sure they would go that far.

He was nowhere near a £5m asset when he was with us. He had a terrible second season in which he missed sitter after sitter, Work rate was low, and then stopped even looking like scoring, was barely getting in the box.

Hylton was ahead of him already. Then came Vassell who was 10 times the player Marriott was when on the pitch that season.

He needed a fresh start and Peterborough gave him that and he had a fabulous season.

I'd imagine Justin will indeed start. Stacey was withdrawn from our last first team friendly he was due to play 90 in whilst negotiations were on going. I'd imagine his fitness isn't quite where it needs to be as a result.

According to sources and ITK all over social media, we’ve apparently agreed a fee with Sunderland for Charlie Wyke - £600k rising to £1m. I’m presuming the bulk of the add-on is a promotion bonus, which is pretty much a banker anyway.

One/two of Eoin Doyle, Danny Rose, Billy Sharp or Christian Doige to sign - again, if you believe the ITK’s.

Have to say I don’t like the way the players have put in transfer requests. I’d be annoyed if Waghorn did it as would mean we’d get lower offers or a player who doesn’t want to play for the club.

There should be a clause that if a player puts in a transfer request, he goes unpaid until it’s resolved. if a club doesn’t put in a reasonable offer, he should have to pay back a percentage of any transfer fee, signing on fee and agent fees the club paid out when signing him. Huge breach of contract right there.

Fitness wise I don’t think it’ll be an issue. Watching them play v St Albans about 10 days ago it was apparent how fit they were in that heat.

It depends on the Waghorn situation which luckily enough, he doesn’t appear to have put in a transfer request!

If Knudsen goes as reported today, could potentially open up some funds.

As the Town forums are suggesting, your chief exec appears to have told the fans what they want to hear but unable to do anything as the players want out. He was the same before Hurst left wasn’t he? The concerning thing is that if we get close to promotion and a prem club comes in for him, will he take our best players like he appears to be doing now. But that’s something to worry about it if/when it happens

He only signed Sam Jones actually from us. All the others had moved on, I think. Henderson had gone back to Man Utd, LJL had gone to Newport, Toto Hartlepool, Rodman...don't actually remember he was long gone though and Nolan had gone to Chesterfield.
