Good stuff. Think only Walsall on the first game of the season have brought more than 1000 so will be good to have some sort of atmosphere for once. Shame we have lost our last 2 as there is a bit of negativity creeping in. We should still be looking at a gate of around 8000, but could have 9/10000 if we'd have been in good form.

You never know it might have but to be honest its a game in relatively close distance and a chance for a pissup in Liverpool so that will be more the reason. That Smurthwaite one I think started on that Vale Facebook page so for that alone it should have been given short shrift add in the Palios family to be fair have been excellent in how they’ve run Tranmere so can’t see them wanting to let him go and ruin that.

To be fair to them they gave us 1400 but they had to be all sold before our game on tuesday night against Sutton. Loads including myself have tried to purchase but have been told no further tickets can be sold. Also we are now hearing our supporters unlike all other supporters will not be allowed in their clubhouse. And also to be fair to Stevenage this is on police advice. We would have virtually sold out but now will only be backed by a paltry 700.

I think what we’ve got is enough realistically.
