Have to agree with Vanni too - for all the fans that have said FGR won’t go down because they played alright, they keep losing games. At some point, it’ll be too late.

Forest Green were the worst team I have ever seen us play when we beat them this season. Clearly they've got a bit better since though.

McGhee has to go. Our performance today was a carbon copy of the one against Grimsby.

If we keep Dave Artell in charge, we will get relegated, no doubt about. Third home game this season where we've been absolutely humped. Lost 5-0, 4-1 and 3-0. Credit to Swindon, they did what all teams with half a brain cell do against us, press early, don't give us time on the ball and simply let us crumble. Can see why they've won so many away from home.

We're a shambles, we really are. Who's coming down with us?

Barnet must be shocking to lose at home to us - that's only our 2nd away win of the season, and our 4th in 2017. The other 3 came against a poor Chesterfield with a new manager, an eventually relegated Orient and Luton (who we always seem to get a result out of).

To any Morecambe reading in not sure whether I'd be happy or not after the most unfortunate or losses to us today.

Better side throughout you dominated possession and should have been out of sight of an abject Mansfield should of ideas, formation or effort. That our keeper got MOM says it all.

Evans embarrassing himself arguing with fans in the lower west stand didn't do his stock much good either.

Keep that play up and you'll be fine

Cowley didn't think it was a red either, although he said that the player could've just tactically fouled Green(?) and not gone in as strong as he did and trying to leave one on him.

He's got £1.20 he wants to return to the Newport fans.
Any bellends throwing coins should be banned for life - if that’s what happened today. Didn’t see it myself but I was 20 yards from the dug outs. Last thing we need especially with Leeds coming to us in 2 weeks. Already hundreds of tickets sold to Leeds fans in the home end.
I thought the hold up today was for the ref to caution the steward cos a fan threw the ball at the lino.
Ref really was awful, constantly trying to be the centre of attention.

Sounds as though we got lucky.

0-3 up then Yorwerth could of been sent off and we end up relying on our goalie.

Still, I would take three points up the Wham (poo eerr missus) all day long.

Jesus that's a shocking result today, one of the worst in our clubs history I reckon. Stevenage at 3 in 8 before today. We've just got no defenders left. Some heavy recruitment needed in January

We are. Today was utterly appalling and would have not been acceptable in the NL South.

I cannot bring myself to attend any more games until McGhee is gone. Totally incompetent in every respect and the thought of him having any control during a transfer window scares me.

You played like a team with a formation and style that suited your players, taking advantage of the space we offered on our flanks whereas McGhee has made us into a team that is open at the back yet unable to create any clear-cut chances. Even his substitutions were baffling. He has to go.

We didn't win in 14 games under Rossi but we look worse under McGhee despite winning twice AND with virtually a full strength squad back. The bloke is a fucking disaster and is one of the root causes of the crisis we're in. Things run much deeper than just MM though. We're not a club in a good place right now.

After a lot of criticsism in recent weeks Sarll changed the formation to a 4-3-3 and it worked. We had a far greater attacking presence going forward, still not great at the back but loads better than recent weeks. A front 3 of Godden, Newton and Samuel isn't too shabby.

Sorry to say Chesterfield fans but that performance was pretty shambolic, especially at the back. I guess you had an off day you can't play that poorly al the time.

Agreed, but I reckon it's a bit odd tbh. Personally, I don't mind congratulating the opposition if they deservedly beat us. OTOH, I also don't like to claim that we were poor every time we lose a game, as I find it all very unfair on the opposing fans. I'm not saying being poor on the day doesn't help the other side, of course it does, but there are times when your side looks poor only because the opposition are making you look poor.
Did we say that? I haven't looked on our forum but from listening on the radio I'd be surprised in anyone saw something today to suggest FGR could stay up. I don't think our defence have had an easier time this season, and attack was supposed to be the one area where FGR could hold their own at this level.

No, that post wasn't specifically aimed at the Carlisle fans, but to football fans in general. I think it strange most of us only congratulate the opposing side after a win for the side we follow. Usually, we never do after they beat us, and this is what I find a bit odd - personally, I don't have a problem congratulating opposing fans if their side deservedly beat my side.

As for my other comment, I was only anticipating what you lot were going to say after beating FGR, as that 's what everybody else says after facing them. But it looks like I was wrong!

We have now lost the last 4 in all competitions and sliding down the table a bit yet IF we win our game in hand we go back up to third - shows how tight it is around the play off places.
I believe there's going to be a number of ins and outs at our club during the January window.
First half today was bloody shocking but we upped our game second half.
Carlisle away Boxing Day - I can't recall us ever winning there - am I right Carlisle fans?

Can't remember either but then we have an even worse record at the CG, and you're probably the better team on paper. Sounds like the right time to be playing you at least.

I dunno but I have a feeling we might actually have to use this thread for tomorrow’s game. Morecambe v Notts, we have to be winning this to keep up with Luton

Stevenage for us tomorrow.

Home fans in the whole of the SW for the first time since the opening day against Morecambe and should be a home sell-out of around 9.5k.

Don't think the fixtures list is too bad for teams this year, it's just a Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday with a bank holiday Monday one thrown in, which we've done for the last 6 years in the NL albeit at the beginning of the season.
