Luton are the best team in the league, no doubt. But I don't fear them at all and wouldn't be at all surprised if we get something from the game such is the turn around we've had since Aspin came back to the club. Hopefully Anderson and Worrall will be fit, as they are two important players for us. If we can field something like our best 11 and we're at it on the day, we can compete with them 100%. Hopefully Luton will be complacent because of our false league position. If they are then they'll soon be in for a shock.

You never know! I recall them pissing the league title in league one and they came to VP and young Dave Hibbert pulled them apart in a 3-1 win.

They’ve spunked the cash and rightfully running away with it, we will have to have all 11 plus subs at their best and who knows. Had we done the first 12 games as we had the last 12 we’d be third, six points clear of forth so with our form we could suprise them.

Would take a point mind!

Straight forward win for us today without having to be particularly good.

Their 'keeper pulled off what looked like a worldie save from Raggett before Anderson headed in a rebound from a Matt Green shot, Green then volleyed in a well worked set piece and Ginnelly slots in from a rebound late on. Anderson missed from about 6 yards as the ball bobbled up from a Green square ball and we had a few others half chances on the break.

Stevenage had two or three lively attacking players (Godden and Newton were two) but were just a bit 'meh' all over the park. Not enough pace in the side, not quite enough strength, were on the small side as well and not good enough in either box either. A lot of tippy tappy stuff but they had to do that because they had no height up front to do anything else.

Pretty much sums up what Boro fans are saying.

Tactics are always the same no matter who we play and whether at home or away.

There is simply no plan B if it isn't working.

First time I've seen us since Colchester away. Neil Eardley is a cut above any RB I've seen us have, probably ever.

Great to see the Stevenage website talking about our direct football as well, brilliant stuff.

Shame we didn’t keep him on in trial

Seriously? We’ve taken 23 points from our last 12 games under Aspin, why would we fear losing 5-0? Luton will be a tough one as will County but our form is automatic promotion since game 13 so no reason to be negative. Just pissed off we didn’t get Aspo in the summer, we’d be top 7.
Those 2 games will go the same way as the Swindon and Mansfield home games where we lost 3 nil and 4 nil at home. People are being over confident we still got the same players are 17th in league 2 so are still shit. People are going on like we are Brazil.

Since Aspin started we’ve sustained automatic promotion form and learnt more each week. The Yeovil cup game seemed to boost us further. Over the last 12 games we are flying. You talk about Mansfield and Swindon we have drew with Colchester away and beaten Coventry at home... currently above both?

We’re not Brazil and still have work to do but these players aren’t that bad, just appallingly managed under MB. Aspin has them playing and working well. Hence under MB Pope got 1 goal since he left he’s added 10!

Rhead's through ball for our first being described by their manager as a "...typical Lincoln goal...crashed into the channel."

The irony being we were after Laurie Wilson but he chose you, hence us getting Eardly in, initially on a trial basis.

Got a lucky escape we signed Laurie so let him go and he went to you. Laurie doesn’t even make the bench anymore, seemed to have the wrong atitude then a youth product got given a go after Brown left in Gibbons and he’s now first on the team sheet (when not banned!)

Thought Laurie would be a great signing as did most. How did he do well for Bolton!

Surely you don’t know if they’re bandwagon jumpers until you start losing? Anyway, we’ll see what Crowley is made of when Raggett goes. If Lincoln are still 3rd at the end of Jan, then we’ll start talking.
Bound to miss Raggett, class act the lad but we have Waterfall, Dickie v likely to join us and rumours of Hughes joining us on loan and Bostwick can play there too.
Who's Crowley?

So just over half way and the last game of 2017. What a year it has been for Luton - ups and downs; the only real down being the performance up at Blackpool in the play offs. Considering they didn't score against us in the league that season, those two performances were particularly hard to take.

But what a year it has been since then. We've put together a squad capable of competing in the league above and we've had plaudits liking us to the Man City of League 2. Looking at the tracker I put together at the start of the season, we're 6 points ahead of schedule, and with a few tricky games cited coming up, only need 4 points in the next 6 to stay on schedule.

Its a pity that managers so far haven't really given our team much credit - instead saying how bad their team's were rather than praise us. Or accuse us of buying the league, forgetting that we've taken in around £4m in transfer fees this summer.

Some of the stats are just incredible. We used to be shit away from home, but have now lost only 3 in 31 dating back 15 months. Boxing Day broke or equalled a number of club records - 13 away games in all competitions without defeat, 11 away games unbeaten in the Football League, 126 goals in all competitions in a calendar year, beating an 120 year old record.

Out of contract in two days and desperate to keep him, been mainly at left back and excelled as well as been key in the dressing room with his nuttyness and experience in a young back four.

Was worried after we played Leeds in the 1st round of the cup away... their three million quid signing was trying to take the piss with step overs... Gav on a booking and you just knew what was coming! Booted him one!

Cult hero... will be interesting to see him and Hylton today if they wind each other up!

Think LB suits him maybe better than centre half where you utilised him? Oddly Anderson who came with a negative reception from Chesterfield fans has been equally outstanding!

Ah to be fair I’ve just spent Christmas working in a country that doesn’t celebrate Christmas, I had just got back and was feeling a bit jolly and lubricated from the night before.

If ever a game was spoiled by a red card it was ours today. Both teams playing ok, we've just scored and are edging it when Josh Payne jumps in with his studs showing and catches the Stevenage player. Ref had no option but to send him off and after that it was attack against defence and very dull.
