Well, in today’s local newspaper, McCall has been quoted to have said that he is in no rush to sign Vaughan’s replacement. Having said that, the Danny Rose rumour doesn’t appear to be going away.

Kurtis Guthrie is apparently having an amazing pre-season, which has somewhat made McCall relaxed when sourcing Vaughan’s replacement . So, it’s incredibly likely that we’ll enter the season with Donaldson, Novak, Guthrie and Clarke - they notched a combined goal tally of 20 last season.

Right-back appears to be more of a priority, and it is thought that McCall is looking at a loan from a Champ/L1 club. Does anyone have any idea who might be available to leave on loan - RB?

Only seen Guthrie twice. The first time he absolutely bullied us and made our centre halves look dreadful.

On his day Guthrie could be an excellent forward for this level and quite easily capable of bagging 15+ goals. His attitude stinks though, so when he can't be arsed or he's having a strop he's a complete waste of space.

Well, he appears to have found his mojo again - means sod all in pre-season, but he was written off after one game by our fans. Fell injured and wasn’t to be seen again. Hopefully, he feels like he has something to prove. As you’ve touched on, he is capable of 15+ goals - he’s proven this with yourselves and Stevenage more recently, but the likes of Donaldson, Novak AND Guthrie are all similar centre-forwards - we’re crying out for a bit of pace.

I’m hoping we go in for Jordy Hiwula.

I said previously the Vale /Mansfield thing I don't get. Possibly blew up more over the Maynard saga. Mansfield have been/ are a big player in this division but had a car crash last season.
The whole my dad's bigger than yours is played out all the time by not just Vale fans. It actually means fuck all. The present counts.
You could harp on about Brentford taking about 3000 to the Millennium when we won the Autoglass. I'd swap places with them right now !!
Wrexham, County, Stockport, York, Hartlepool all piss on the likes of Harrogate, Stevenage, Morecambe but deserve nothing because they are there for a reason.
