I remember years ago going up to i think Bradford. Me and my lad bought tickets in the home end. We got sussed out by the locals. We had to win to stay up and they were safe so they was good as gold with us. Not recommended tho. Oh we won 3 - 1 if you was interested!!
Yes it was against us, mid table we were nothing game for us. You winning sent Man City down I believe:bl:. How times change, was it 97/98? Year before my first season ticket if it was.

Tomorrow over 13k sold. Would expect that to rise to around 16k with pay on the day....

Clearly more than a couple of hundred as you can see in the photo.

Kudos on selling 1000, you're pushing promotion, anything less than a sell out would be shit.

You'll be pleased to know we've sold half of our 2500 allocation for the game at your place. Maybe some of ours will come in your home end.

You're a little bit infatuated with the Millers aren't you, Padgey? It's a little bit weird.

You can't go and take 900 to Scunny (your biggest rivals) and then have the nerve to say if we don't sell out there (further journey) it's poor because we're about 9 points better off. Up until our good run recently, we were midtable but now we're apparently promotion certs because it helps your argument. But really you're just a poorly supported club in a town full of Leeds fans.

I don’t know what planet you live on, but three thousand random Wigan fans aren’t going to be queuing up at the ticket office tomorrow in the real world.

No chance of Donny fans in home end because they will make it data base only for this game plus we will sellout anyways.

For someone who is clearly autistic, I'd have thought you'd be better with numbers.

This whole Donny/Rotherham thing is a bit pathetic, and I can't believe i'm going throw my view in. Christ, i'm so happy we got out of this tin pot league.

For the record, I was (un)lucky enough to be at the Scunny v Donny game. The Donny end was full, save for about 20/30 seats in the left hand corner, so MillerWhale, this kind of pisses on your bonfire.

From past experience on their followings to The Lane, Rotherham usually bring a few more, but it is nearer after all. Although when Donny came they were always a lot louder and got behind the team more. Rotherham must have one of the least passionate and quietest supporters i've ever come across.

Both clubs will forever be in Sheffield's shadow, and neither club is bigger than the other, or more well supported, and that is a fact, so the pair of you bore off.

Never ever do you see away fans in the home end, clubs sell out all the time you never see it, even in big games it's very very rare.
The very last time I ever went in the home end when away, I was sat on my own on the Bramall Lane Kop (only ticket I could buy) and the bastards beat us 5-0! I must have been the only one sat silent, arms folded and a face like a smacked arse. They left me alone though, maybe I looked scary

Oddly, going in the home end used to be something we would do regularly, and never with any trouble at all. And we used to cheer the goals so we didn't hide it. Such games include Wigan, Grimsby, Barnet, Stockport (going back a bit lol) Bury, Burnley, Rochdale Lincoln and many others. Different times in the80's & 90's. One time I did wonder if I was doing the right thing was actually away at Donny, I was with the wife so we went in their main stand cos she wouldn't go in the open cage they then had behind the goal. It was the day of the 6-2 win when we had Bobby Williamson, who ended up getting four that day, so about 1990-ish. When we scored our first, the entire left half of the main stand erupted in cheering around us! A lone Donny fan in his teens then jumped up and started screaming "it's our stand get em out!" (Not unreasonably, to be fair to him) and the coppers stormed in, paused, looked at us, looked at him, and then carted him out! Got to say it was funny as fuck.

Thats amazing it was that long ago. The Bradford fans were brilliant on the day. Not sure if it'd been quite the same if Bradford had needed points on the day tho. I went the year we got promoted to the Prem too. Last game again

Bring back Belle Vue and the cage.

Having travelled all over the country to away games and seeing alot of away fans come to Rotherham I can safely say we are nowhere near having the least passionate fans in the country especially with the sort of numbers we usually fetch out. We always happen to get whooped at Bramhall Lane which is why were not loud has normal, Hillsborough however....

Don't. It unsurprisingly was this poster's first post.

Considering how many you brought to us, you were probably amongst the quietest away following we've had. It was surprising to be honest although the Keepmoat isn't the best stadium for generating an atmosphere.

I think your place with how it's designed is a lot better for it, so I'm looking forward to the visit. Should be a good atmosphere all round.

Nah we were quiet that gameregardless of how shite the stadium is for carrying the sound but i think that was down to the fact it was a really poor match. We seemed more louder and boisterous in the pubs and during the walks to ground and back than the actual game was so disappointing. Could see few hundred or so of Donny fans getting some chants going behind the opposite goal but you could hardly hear anything even though you can clearly see they were.

Atmosphere can be very good at NYS when it gets going, heard away fans say it sounds like the double amount in the stadium when we score which is down the acoustics being very well designed. hopefully be a better game this time and im certain it will be a way better atmosphere from home and away fans this time.

943 Cobblers at Blackburn. In superb voice I thought.

4750 Hammers. Less than half of them still there by FT.

Great effort from Northampton. I'm sure the pull of Blackburn inflated it, but it's still a good distance so a good turnout.

I pulled in Blackburn once, but would never have said that Blackburn itself had any sort of pull...
