Lump on Stevenage, we are seriously on the way down. Fans apparently actually fell asleep during our game Saturday

Only the 3rd game and we're already looking at a relegation scrap on our hands, I've never ever seen a group of new players look as low as they did during our defeat Saturday, we've got some serious, serious issues.

McAnuff to score a hatrick :woot:

Really not looking forward to this. Three months on from our teams appalling effort towards the end of last season, it appears the new group pf players we've signed, have picked up the same sickness within a few months of being here - All signed on 2+ year deals on decent money and unmotivated by a manager who didn't want the job originally in the first place, who got it because no one else wanted it. This is all because the football club is run by a group of fucking clowns who couldn't motivate a group of footballers if they even tried.

Apparently the dopey fucks suggested dropping Nigel Atangana on Saturday and starting with an unfit Dean Cox and Paul McCallum, do they fucking realise that during a game of fooball after 70mins players are going to get tired and subs can have a greater impact?! Hence why Cox and McCallum performed well against Fulham on the Tuesday?!

The team for what its worth, should be this after Saturdays appalling display of effort, quality and general shitness:

Cisak
Hunt Erichot Parkes Kennedy
Massey Kelly Atangana Semedo
Bowery Palmer

Subs:
Sargeant
Clohessy
Weir
Cornick
Cox
McCallum
Gnanduillet
Unless the clowns running this club decide we can play Simpson again to give everyone a much needed lift, we're stuck with Palmer and the lazy Gnanduillet. Stick Semedo in his correct position and play Kennedy as he is a proper full back. Clohessy was useless Saturday and I actually quite like him as a player. Robbie Weir has been a massive, massive let down so far - Flu or not he has been lazy and fucking crap. Bowery looks like a sicknote in the fucking making, but he is better and fitter than the rest of our strikers. If Nigel Atangana doesn't play then the fucking heriachy can go stick there season up their fucking arses, because he is the fittest and most in form central midfielder we have.

I don't expect an improvement on our performance from Saturday, I expect our crowd to once again sit in apathy, I expect no plan from the 11 players on the pitch and I expect little enthusiasum from Hessenthaler who really should've fucked off in the summer if Saturdays performance is anything to go by.

Stevenage really should beat us, as we are there for the taking. They have more quality in their side in Tonge, McAnuff, Kennedy and Charlie Lee than Newport did Saturday so I don't expect them to be as limited or to sit back as much.

We will lose.

I liked Weir a lot v Cheltenham, thought he was pretty fundamental in our strong first half.

I've decided I will attend this and I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe it's to boo Jamie Jones.

Apologies if I'm missing something, but Simpson not playing is only down to the interest in him from other clubs right? So, nothing to do with injuries or sickness?

You are missing the fact that our chairman is a MASSIVE DICKHEAD who has banned Yessenthaler from picking Simpson to try and force Jay out of the club and off the wage bill. Did the same with MacAnuff last season.

3-0 flattered us, we should've been 1-0 down long before we took the lead. Stevenage wasted 2 good chances before that.

However, we actually played well for once and shock, horror, it was when Ollie Palmer wasn't starting and we're not lumping the thing long every 5 seconds to his head. We played 4 players up front who have good technical ability and we managed to cause Stevenage a host of problems, we managed to blow all their early steam and momentum away and saw out the game relatively easily.

As good as we've passed the ball and kept it at home for about two years.

Also SIMPSON PLAYS and SHOCK, WE ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE A DECENT TEAM.

Stevenage lost their way I thought, they passed it around quite well and got in behind our shaky defence 3 times in the first half and should've scored at least once. But their backline couldn't cope with the 1v1s we ended up creating and they lost confidence in themselves at 2-0, second half they reminded me of ourselves, mainly knocking the ball long and not too sure how to break a team down sitting deep playing on the counter.

No but I can understand why you'd consider not going if they don't make them anymore.

I loved 1664 at that pub. Was great.
