He's right, the penalty decision was bullshit and only one team did want to play. But neither takes the ultimate responsibility for the loss of points away from him and his stupid team selection/sub decision. It would have been a non-issue had he done the right thing in the first place.

well the penalty decision is debatable mate, but that's no way to conduct yourself in an interview. a little credit to him for apologising for his poor attitude before storming off though.

what did you make of salah's foul in the build up to your goal btw pags mate?

Lets have it straight - if that had been a Liverpool player going down Klopp/the Kop and the Liverpool players would have been screaming for a penalty.

Of course on the other hand Big Sam would have cried no way...

Klopp you can suck my plums.

I can't ever remember being this angry with a Liverpool manager. Those two points dropped were entirely down to you. Firstly, you pick a stupid fucking team selection despite us scoring for fun recently and, in doing so, break up the fluidity to our play. Then secondly, to make it worse, you take our best and most dangerous player off the pitch when we're just a goal up knowing how shockingly shit our defence and keeper is. And what a surprise, we're left chasing to get the lead back when they inevitably bag a decision after one of their players drops like a bag of fetid shit in the area from the smallest of contact. You c***.

I've no doubt had the same team started today as that against Spartak we'd have been out of sight by half time.

And on a side note fuck me, Everton were complete and utter dog shit, barely deserve to be called a top flight club after that display. Which only makes the result even more annoying. There is zero excuse not to beat that bag of shit by at least 3 goals.
The selection could've been better, but we were 1 - 0 up in total control with Everton offering nothing, then that dickhead Lovren decides to sabotage the game YET AGAIN! When will this folly end, surely we have to get VVD or at least someone competent in for January. Either that or put Joe Gomez in CB when Clyne comes back - anyone but that turd continuing to cost us points game on game, year on year.

Total control? Liverpool are never in total control with only a single goal lead. Ever. No matter how shit the opposition are. Too many elements of the defence (and the keeper) are too shit for any form of comfort, hence my annoyance about Salah coming off. And today was another example of that. I'm amazed you need this pointing out.

Away from home I agree at times we are flaky defensively (to say the least). However we've only conceded 2 goals at home this season until that penalty today so something was working there and Everton never looked in a million years like causing us trouble. Klopp perhaps rotated once too often today and we were a bit disjointed, otherwise we would probably have won well; but what he did was working until that twat decided to barge into the Everton lad in the box, when there was nothing at all on. This draw is on him and not Klopp, and that's more points he's cost us this season, what an utter liability. I used to despise Skrtel, but this arse is catching him up.

Bollocks is it on Lovren, although he is shit. It's on Klopp. Had he done the right thing and played the sensible lineup, we would have been out of site and the penalty would have meant little. Every commentator and fan, Liverpool or otherwise, said it was a stupid lineup prior to kickoff (see my comments earlier in the thread for an example) and that was proven by the fact we were playing a bag of shit team who offered fuck all yet we were struggling to score a second with two thirds of the game gone. Like I said, play the same team that started against Spartak and I reckon we'd have been 3 up by half time.

I haven't seen the Mane effort, apparently he was greedy and took it on when there was an easy pass on? That chance gets converted and its job done and Klopp is vindicated for his selection. We would've won the game pure and simple if Lovren hadn't again fucked up.

At least the other results were fine, with only Spurs winning so the result isn't catastrophic I suppose.

You won't be getting VvD in January. Move on.

Bids will be coming in for him from others no doubt, and we'll be joining in I reckon. Whether yous budge or not this time we'll see.

There were no bids in the summer. Our asking price was too high and anyway, Liverpool dropped their interest once it became clear to Saints that they had tapped him up, or don't you remember that?

Word down here is City are very interested. I think we'd budge for them in January and VvD would be an idiot to push a Liverpool move with City interested.

If he's still a Saints player in the summer then maybe the door to Liverpool opens, if they can actually conduct themselves in a professional manner, but he will still have 4 years on his contract so we'll dig our claws in with a high asking price again.

Judging by the quality of his play so far this season you can keep him.

I was thinking exactly the same. Every time I have watched VvD he seems to go walk about around the penalty area. For a centre back he doesn't look like the commanding leader type who you could rely upon to show discipline and mark a dangerous striker out of a game.

I am surprised that Liverpool fans don't look at this issue from a different angle. They have very talented forwards but, when on top, they always seem to be going at full pelt in order to try to rub the opposition's nose in it and win 5-0 or 7-0 which must become exhausting. They never seem to conserve energy which is probably the reason why Liverpool had such an awful January after last year's concentrated Christmas programme (may happen again). Also, probably the reason why Klopp tried to rest Coutinho and Firmino and took Salah off.

I don't think the signing of one defender is going to make that much difference if Klopp does not adapt the gegenpressing style to the English game.

As regarding the goalkeepers, they make a few mistakes like any keepers but have a look at Lloris for Stoke's goal on Saturday. In the Sunday press they are still claiming that Real Madrid want to sign him !

One defender won't change much, personally I think a proper defensive midfielder will do more good to the team than a complete revamp to the back four.

No one is disputing that we tried to tap him up but can we stop pretending that this isn't the standard practice of virtually every other premiership football club please?

But how would he continue to pretend Southampton maintain some sort of perfect moral high ground if he did that?

VVD hasn't pulled up trees since he has come back as he's clearly wanting to move on. He's still far better than what we have (maybe except a peak Joe Gomez in the next few years?) and would certainly help out at the back better than the bloody awful Lovren. We have to sign a CB in January of note if we can, it's imperative.

VVD is better than our current centre back choices? Yeah, obviously. In the same way a Big Mac is preferable to eat than dogshit.
