Yeah, I’d say a majority. They ain’t losing money, that’s for sure. If they’re giving money to the club in the way of loans, you can be sure the interest they are charging is extortionate.

It’s nice to think of your owner as some old kindly, philanthropist chucking wonga at your pride and joy. Some like to promote that image.

I think you are way off, it’s rare to make money at this level.

In fact, I would say the majority are losing money, not earning.

The clubs are losing money - the owners are not.

Bowyer is seen as favourite right now. Board want to speak to Grayson but don't think he will drop down to league two

Ha, Leigh is saying that he expects him to take a sabbatical. Doubt that Hardy even knows at this stage to be honest.

Fair dos, Bowyer and Grayson both have very good track records and at our level you:d have to say we would be fortunate to have either of them.
They were my first choice picks from the out of work list so I'm happy with that.
Apparently two in work managers being interviewed, Kewell and A.N. Other.

From the outside looking in Flynn has done a good job at Newport, the club was in a mess when he took over and he's steered them well away from the bottom of the table, good cup run and a solid start this season.
Can he manage expectation though? All fans want success but we just never seen to settle for steady progress . Every year it's boom or bust, sacked if you can't at least get us to the play offs.

Personally I’d prefer Flynn to Kewell

Michael Duff (former player) is now evens favourite for our job.

No idea where that's come from, he only retired a couple of years ago and is still learning the coaching ropes at Burnley.

Slade is still hanging around the betting though worryingly.

It affects us though, cos we're the mugs who have to suffer the BACKLASH.

Now you'll probably magically turn into Barcelona in time for next week instead of being cannon fodder.

Or the big problem (conceding goals) which has blighted us since game two continues.... or you could be right we may only concede 2 with a new man in post. Football eh?

Most of them thought they were barcelona before this ,deluded fans

Ah that old chestnut again, put down your bargain booze and back up this ‘deluded fans’ comment you chirp out every now and then. I don’t know many if any deluded Notts fans full stop one off the top of my head , certainly not on here.

Back it up bargain stag abroad

Very true , sadly for far too long now it’s been all or nothing, boom or bust culture at Notts at both fan level and at board level. Strangely through it all , call me deluded but we continually seem to be an attractive proposition for both managers in and out of work. Not every time, but a lot of times.

Strange time to boot Nolan if last season was considered as part of the reason as literally almost no time to get a new man in and make a loan or two.

Notts County over achieved a bit last year IMO and they were always the one you kind of fancied to fall away a bit and have made a lot of changes so needed time to gel. That said the manner of defeats seemed to be a big concern, pasted at home to Yeovil and the last minute defeats suggest game management wasn’t great.

Be interesting to see what County do here. Kewell would be an odd one, done an average job at Crawley, Flynn though has done ok considering where he took Newport from, although again they were functional but not great last season.

Hardy's tweeted that he hopes to make an announcement Wednesday to give the new man a chance in the loan window.
Be interested to hear what Crawley and Newport fans think of us interviewing their managers if its true.

One was us apparently but Ainsworth isn't interested according to the source, not sure how credible it is though.

The second has been revealed as Neal Ardley at AFC Wimbledon. Wouldn’t be surprised if the 3rd was Ainsworth, but rumours of Mike Flynn too.

Be odd for Ardley to drop a division and give up his 'club' especially as the return to Plough Lane edges closer.

Ardley would be an interesting one. Think it would be a good appointment. Experience of this and the league above

Don't really see why he would leave AFCW to come here, to be honest.

Let’s see, I’d imagine that we will have spoken to the managers to gauge their interest before making it public though

I could be giving professionals too much credit though
