You should of seen the Zoo element that were out in force walking down London Road before the Nottinghamshire derby the other weekend. Teenagers giving prolonged one finger salutes whilst next to the police escort. Two nobheads in their 20s walking past the queuing car traffic trying to open up each cars passenger door?!? Nope me neither

We had our idiots out in force as well but happy to report , as always , significantly outnumbered by the great unwashed from the north. A lot of them are just scum, and although all clubs have them as you wouldn’t expect to a degree. Certain clubs , L2 supporters know which ones, have far more than others. Unsavoury element

I was fearful for the peoples cars and embarrassed by the youths on their Big Day Out.

As a neutral at yesterdays game, I thought it was pretty even for the most part which is credit to Mansfield for playing most of it with 10. I was a long way away from the red card incident and I've not seen it back yet so not too sure on that one. I was surprised at how open both teams were (or couldn't defend) as there were gaps absolutely everywhere. My MOM was the Mansfield right back Hayden White, very impressive performance from him. Referee wasn't the best, but that worked both ways for me. Missed some very cynical man-handling of Jackson in the 2nd half in particular when he was looking to break through on goal.

On another note, I never realised that Mansfield was a hotbed of absolute dickheads. Bought my ticket in the corner of the main stand, which filled up with families and old timers generally, until about 10 minutes before the start and the influx of the Stone Island massive began. Genuinely not a pleasant group to be amongst so I moved for the second half, but then met up with them again on the way to my car at the end of the game when they were waiting outside for the Accrington fans to finish celebrating and get to their coaches. Quite a lot of punches thrown and all totally unnecessary.

Shame really.

What was the quality like in comparison to league 1 out of interest? We've been on a poor run of form and though the players tried hard the quality wasn't the best.

I've seen far worse League Two games, but considering it was a meeting of two of the better sides that the league has to offer it was a bit under-par for what I would expect. Like I said originally, the amount of space gifted by both sides was extraordinary and would definitely be punished more often a level higher. Thought Mansfield dealt with the red card better than Accy in the first half and could easily have scored a couple - a header in particular - but Accy performed better the longer the game went on which was understandable with the extra man. I think both teams will need to learn to look after the ball better if they are to be successful in a higher division - Accrington in particular were guilty first half of sticking to a direct style when perhaps possession may've yielded more in their favour. Second half they were better at that, and indeed the corner that they scored from came from a decent spell of possession. There's enough in both sides to suggest they could be competitive, but there's quite a few tweaks that both need, particularly at the top end of the pitch. Goals could be tough to come by.

You're right joe, we played 7 or 8 straight passes over the top looking for jackson or one of our wide men. Silly play really, zero margin for error in the pass, and really difficult to control a straight ball. Don't know why we're trying this, not been our style this season.
