Steady, it’s been 2 games. It is fucking terrible, no one can deny that but it’s a new manager still working out his squad. We’re probably about 6 weeks behind where we need to be after starting late due to play offs then the the whole Moore situation.

Sunderland can feel hard done by yesterday, they had most of the ball and created some good opportunities down the wings, plus both our goals were lucky. First one just hit Keane and the second deflected off him into the path of Frokajer, nice finish though. Great save by Woodman late on too, and I think they hit the post soon after.

We battled well though and overall I was pleased with the performance.

Potts was very good down the right, bombed forward well and stopped Jack Clarke from causing too much damage. Kian Best had a tough day against Roberts but i'm impressed by the guy, at 17, he doesn't look out of place. Ali McCann is also a really good defensive midfielder at this level, he should never be played further forward again.

Frokjaer, Keane, and Holmes look like good additions. I imagine Whatmough will also take Lindsay's place eventually.

Hopefully we have a few more players available, Keane is having to run himself in to the ground as our only striker option.

I'm not expecting a new striker, LWB, or any of the injured players to be back before Sheff Wednesday on Saturday, and it looks like Ali McCann might be missing after being forced off against Sunderland which is a big blow. Hopefully Duane Holmes is fit enough to start, if not, it will just mean Ben Woodburn coming into the first eleven.

I rate Alan Browne and Woodman.

I wouldn't swap Woodman for another keeper in this league from what i've seen, someone will pay good money for him sooner rather than later. Leeds were supposedly sniffing before they signed Darlow.

Browne goes under the radar in this league a bit, erratic passing but good at driving forward and setting the tempo. Stagnated a little but still a good Championship player.

Ben Whiteman is typically our most important midfielder but he's recovering from surgery, i'm pretty confident that Frokjaer-Jensen will be our best player this season though.

Guessing Bannan will control the midfield on Saturday.

Honestly no idea about most of your side, lots of foreign imports, could have signed a bunch of Worldies for all I know.

Surprised to see Reece James back at this level, especially as a starter. Always thought Josh Windass was a handy player though. We were linked with him a lot when he was younger.

Gassama and Musaba are both young wingers, snapped up from PSG and Monaco.

Byers is a quality player if we can keep him fit

Guessing Bannan will control the midfield on Saturday.

Not sure he’ll be fit. Been having injections and went off at halftime against Hull. He’s not been great in either of the first 2 but it’s hard when we’ve had fuck all of the ball.

I’m hoping we put a couple more of the new lads in for pace and energy, something we’ve been seriously lacking.

Yeah that's our downfall, we appear slow but a fully fit Byers with Momo Diaby (looks an athletic fucker and is 6ft6) will help there, we have pace in Gassama and Musaba if we can get them flying we have a chance.

Gassama is very raw, as you'd expect at 19 but looks to beat a man and has pace to burn, not seen much end product but as to be expected.

Leeds will probably be wishing there was VAR but then who knows what they might have given !

Handball was pretty hard to spot and tbf thought the West Brom defender got a bit of the ball .

They missed a few chances too - WBA keeper was good .

As for us - probably lose 1/0 with Wesley scoring the winner as we were linked to him in the summer .

Armstrong looks very, very tidy. Would like to see us poach him.

We'll be fighting for autos. Still think the likes of Southampton and Leicester will beat us to it.

That’s very optimistic! I’m still not getting carried away as there’s still 43 games left and much tougher games than that. I never thought we’d win our first 3 and I’m a natural pessimist so…I’ll still be very happy with a top half finish.
