Another game that Luton should be looking to win; the hosts have been on a poor run of form on their own patch, plus problems off the field. They've lost their last six home league games only scoring 4 goals in that time.

Nevertheless, they have been a thorn in our side in recent years - Kevin Ellison is someone we all know about.

Have to win these sorts of games if we want to challenge, simple as that. Unfortunately its always these types of games that seem to trip us up. Big couple of weeks coming up, that is going to sort whether we fit in the wheat or chaff categories I think!

Pitch inspection on now apparently and the M6 northbound been completely fecked all morning, can't see a big away following somehow!

No pitch inspection - I think it was someone trolling.

It was the Beds Police Football Officer who tweeted it originally, evidently he got it wrong thankfully!

Coaches and anyone driving down this morning are going to be missing a good chunk of the game by the sounds of it, M6 still buggered. Glad I decided to give this one a miss...

Interesting to see how Vassell does from the start, probably the right thing to give Marriott a break as it just isn't happening for him currently. Ideal scenario would be a goal off the bench for him, I really think one scrappy goal off his arse could change his season still.

Oh and no Cuthbert is a big miss for us (didn't think I'd be saying that at the start of this season!!). The centre backs don't seem to have much luck with injury/illness, you can count on one hand the number of times we've had Mullins, Cuthbert, Sheehan and Rea fit all at the same time. I think we'll be really solid if/when we can get a regular run out of the Cuthbert/Mullins partnership with Sheehan left and Rea holding in front of them.

Danny Hylton - 11th of the season.
6th goal in 7 games for him and 9 in 11.

Sounds like Luton have totally dominated the first half - 63% possession.

First goal in the league scored by someone other than McGeehan or Hylton since Sheehan scored against Hartlepool back in September!

Sounds like a comfortable, professional performance against a team in a bit of a state at the moment. Good to see them get the job done with the minimum of fuss.

That's a remarkable stat! Just shows how reliant we are on those two with Marriott's troubles in front of goal. We need people like Pelly and Cook to start contributing more goals.

Best defence and goal difference in the league now though so things looking good. It was nearly a perfect day with all the results going for us until the last few minutes, bit frustrating but all we can do is win our games.

Also Nathan Jones's post match interview was fantastic :2thumb:

Hylton is a bloody plonker isn't he... still manages to get himself a 94th minute booking!

Good result and sounds a decent performance too, was seriously tempted to make the trip earlier in the week but glad I didn't given the journeys most have had today! Fair play anyone who went, good effort.

Pleased for Vassell sounds like a fairly simple goal for him but you've got to be there and all that. Helooks raw certainly but something there, think he deserves a run in the side now, if only to give Marriott a rest to refocus and find his form.

That'd be lovely... I'm not sure I can stomach the idea of filling the away end there again like last time. No Luton fan should ever set foot in that place as a paying customer.
