Dagenham players went to applaud the away fans, fans started gesturing at them. Nice.

Not won in 11 away games reaction, some of our players need a good look at themselves.

We have been poor since the end of August and we will finish mid table at best. That first half was embarrassing from 3-4 of our lads.

Essex games v Concord (if the stay up), East Thurrock, Chelmsford and Braintree (if they fuck up). Relegation could be a good thing, right? It'll be so sick.

Literally.

Vomiting.

More so.

FML.

I don't think it will happen. But fuck me, it's a possibility. I expected a boring mid table season. For fucks sake.
Won,t be us pal, the way we are playing we are heading back to the National!

For your sake I hope you stay up. Concord, Braintree, Dartford...

And that is without the likes of Hungerford and Hemel Hempsead...

Wouldn't wish Concord on my worst enemy.

Funniest thing at the Solihull was the home fans counting how long Jamie Butler had the ball speeding him up which led to a long punt forward to Craig Dundas who scored Sutton's 2nd killing a match that Solihull were unlucky not to be level in.

A fairly easy 2-0 home win against Eastleigh, 'cue a manager sacking '
Easy three points we will get all season, must wonder what they waste all that money for, as they were second best all over the pitch, and Flitney still between the sticks for them, well at least he played the 90 minutes this time . and just saw a yellow instead of a red ......................... still not safe from the drop, first things first.,
Next up, an East London double header, at Leyton O and then D and R...........................
10 years ago , we were preparing to play Corinthian Casuals at home in the Ryman South , next Saturday we visit Brisbane Road as league leaders

And there was us worrying about replacing Trev Carson now we're not a football league club any more. He's arguably better than Carson. Trev gets in N.Ireland squads but Loach has been in full England squads before. Looks more assured, too. He's easily a L1 keeper. Better than some of the keepers we had when we were an established side there.

Absolutely, who would've imagined that we'd be getting a better keeper than Carson.

Out on the piss last night (this morning) and got talking to a few who had just got in from Boreham Wood down Church Street, said we were absolutely piss poor with not a meaningful shot on target, Laing and Harrison both kamikaze defenders, which we already knew to be fair, only bright spot being Luke George who might be the centre midfielder we've been missing for 5 years.

Two home games coming up, really gotta take at least 4 points from them for me.

We’ve had times when the players have skulked off after an away defeat without acknowledging the travelling support. While I get the frustration, don’t think your players deserved to be tret like that. Don’t know which 3-4 you’re singling out. Whiteley and Doe were below par and the player on the left-wing was largely subdued by a makeshift full-back. Things didn’t seem to get better for you until midway through the 2nd half. Think you’ve a squad good enough for the play-offs, but sides who try to play properly, as both did in this game, tend to lose out to those with cynical fouls, time-wasting and rolling around as though dying in their armoury.

Shhh, don't tell Railway Blue that ;)

Have to capitalise at home like you say. One thing that gets me with Harrison is that he seems very stats/target driven. I know up in his office he's got all manner of points targets per month stuck around and wonder if he plays that situation rather than the games themselves. Might explain the negative set up at times.

People moaning on about being mid table and how we're a big side for this league and should be up there playing teams off the park. Sympathise with that but this club has been a downward spiral for years. Making us hard to beat, playing for each other and keeping us in touching distance of the play offs will do me for now. That's exactly what we're doing but yeah it is frustrating how we set ourselves up at times, particularly in first halves.

Just imagine every league game is a romantic FA Cup 3rd round game against plucky part timers. Patronisingly applaud opposition goals, and say things like "They didn't embarrass themselves, fair play to them".

And then cry yourself to sleep each night...
You haven't been doing that for the last three years..?

A big win for us yesterday against the team we most feared at the start of the season, whatever Daggers' current problems. Dagenham had a lot of the ball in good areas but created next to nothing as our back four were so strong, McNulty and Sutton superb. We looked like scoring every time we attacked.

I still think it is possible for us to get top spot, but it is vital we keep DMH after January. He makes us a different team.

In our first season as FC Halifax Town, we were beaten to promotion by a team that couldn't go any further up the leagues with a plastic pitch so they lost their entire squad and fielded local sixth-formers for their single season in the NPL Premier and finished on 0 points, and the team that went up in the playoffs went bust a few weeks later and didn't bother reforming.

Bin there, did that for 5 years. 1st season, team kicked from pillar to post, lost a quarter of their matches- "it's a man's game down here, you soft cnuts".
Enter Neil Aspin who brings in players ready kick back if they have to - "disgraceful, foul team, We'd rather lose every week than play like Halifax".
2 seasons later: played 84, lost 6.
Fuck 'em. :ds:

Some people haven't got a brain. How are we going to win easily every game when we have no attacking midfielders & no forwards who can score.
Harrison has made us hard to beat & after 5 years of it,I'm quite happy with.
Also fans should give Harrison & Laing a bit of slack,it must be hard being constantly under pressure & cross after cross coming in cos our dogshit midfield can't stop the opposition

James Alabi clearly didn't get the memo when he was told to carry on his form when he moved to Dover.

Would imagine we will recall him and send him elsewhere if he scores too many..

Alabi barely got a chance with us, though didn’t impress on the occasional outing. His playing style is more suited to balls threaded through the middle rather than the use of fast players out wide to create space and chances. If Dover were the only ones willing to pay his wages, releasing funds for the likes of DMH and Cole, then did we have much choice? It may prove costly in the end though.

The difference is we dominate possession and that requires a good technically gifted centre forward who can hold the ball then pick a pass, Stockton was perfect at that, Cook is good at it.

Alabi needs to be in a higher tempo, direct team where the opposition centre backs are running towards their own goal so he can use his pace and power as his technical ability is limited.

Surprised Wrexham didn't come in for him unless we just refused to let him go there as they're just a better version of Chester.

Exactly this. Alabi was our marquee signing in the summer and will be on decent money, which probably priced him out of a move back to Chester, for example.

Alabi isn't really playing as a traditional centre forward for us. More out to the left wing, Stefan Payne played there when he was with us too. It's one of those Kinnear things.

Dover can't afford to go up. It would RUIN them, according to their owner.

Alabi is playing on the wing and looks to be feeling his way into the position. Strong, quick, full of energy, and ours until June! Thanks Tranmere :2thumb:

Maybe he just wanted to play for a club with something to play for come January.
