We haven't really performed yet. In both games either side could of taken 3 points. I think the new players are still finding their feet and getting to know each other. Still, we haven't been beat and I'm expecting tomorrow to be a tough game. One thing I have noticed in our opening 2 games is just how small our team is compared to the opposition. Technically excellent but maybe a bit weak. Anyway, looking forward to the long trip tomorrow

An easy win for Barrow.

Of our opening fixtures, this is the first one I'd marked down as a win - but there's no way it'll be easy. We have to win really, which feels weird to say at this stage, but everything's so fractious around here at the moment. Can't imagine what will happen if Effiong bags the winner!

We'll start 5-3-2 and go all out for the first 20 mins, and everything will probably hinge on whether we can get an early goal or not.

Hartlepool could be in for a nasty suprise down in Maidenhead. Never easy these long distance, early kick off, in front of the camera games.

We'll be well rested.Travelled down today by National Express 2 for 1,and staying overnight at the local Travelodge
£15 a night with as much as you can eat fry up.

You deserve to come home with 3 points just for traveling with National Express.

Suppose tomorrow will test the theory of whether lightning strikes twice, only team to beat us in the league in 2017.
I don't think we are quite fit enough just yet to trouble you over 90 minutes. We've looked good in the first half of both games but tailed off in the second and ended up dropping deeper and deeper struggling to get out of our own half. We'll see tomorrow if lessons have been learned.

How many do you think will make the trip mate? 100 or so? Game is unsegregated, so you'll have use of the bar (service can be shit, but does the job).

Think it'll be close. As I said in my earlier post, it'll be interesting to see how we set up without Dave Winfield. Expecting Coulson to have another good game, and hoping we have enough to get the win. Surprised that you're 2/1 to win. Great odds if you ask me.

Yes because every Sutton was fecking delighted and glorified every moment and didn't let the club know how fecking fuming they were with the decision, nor did it cause a massive gulf and split among our support base, more than any other issue in our recent history.[/QUOT

Fair point mate, point retracted

We never ever do well at Dover, and we haven't got going yet not helped by Keates forgetting to sign any strikers. So a day trip to France to get beat and for our elderly fans to get punched in the back of the head by a Dover scally.

Sacre bleu!

Yes I agree I think 2/1 is a good price when considering we're 2 newly promoted teams and we won the league at a canter. I prefer betting on the league below though as I don't know these teams. I had BPA at 2/1 last Saturday. Also had a coupon and Fylde were the only side that let me down, Sod's law.

Not sure how many we'll bring. Not sure how many seats have been sold for the trip

Chester away for us. Can't make it because I'm away in Cornwall, gutted! Think it'll end 1-1 with a last minute equaliser from Bohan Dixon... surprisingly he's looked very good so far in a town shirt. We need to win really, or at least set up to win or else the fan base will be absolutely toxic because our fans have unrealistic expectations of where we should be. They want our manager out after 2 games ffs

Another interesting test for us, at home to Maidstone with what will be a fairly large crowd of around 6k hopefully with Maidstone bringing around 800.

We are still very much a work in progress, Maidstone will get chances. Solihull forced us into some errors in midfield and at the back, but weren't good enough to fully capitalise. Our full backs defensively are still suspect.

I'm still quite interested to see how how most of the teams in this league will cope on our pitch, as its alot larger and longer than most teams here. Solihull ran out of steam Tuesday night and their hard pressing faded out by the end of the game.

Maidstone look like a midtable side to me, will be interesting to see how Alex Finney fairs after he left us for Bolton three summers back. Thank god Loza isn't fit............

Not sure that Finney will be fit either - he was stretchered off on Tuesday, wasn't he?

Agree that our pitch is going to be a massive factor in quite literally the opposite way to the way in which Sutton's is a massive factor. Already looking forward to them coming to Brizzie so we can revenge clown them.

Expecting a tight game against Sutton, which we'll probably just about come on top in. McNulty likely to return, unsure if that's a good thing. Most interesting game in terms of the league is the Eastleigh v Dagenham clash, a win for the visitors could strengthen their promotion credentials, though a draw is the most likely outcome.

We should be looking to beat Maidstone I think, with all due respect, especially if we're harbouring top seven ambitions. It won't be an easy game though, I expect they will offer a lot more than Solihull. Would hope we can get a clean sheet, but I wouldn't back us to. I reckon a 1-1 that we shade.

I myself will be at Aldershot v Guiseley. Does slaphead still post? GuiseleySteve what should I expect?

I do occasionally. Where are you looking to go, in the home or away? Old school terrace experience on the Eastbank I would suggest, if you go in the away you'll be in the seats in the South Stand, great view but sod all atmosphere.

Barrow let me down on my Tuesday treble, the bastards. I never include Fleet in my accas. My do the occasional correct score bet, but that's about it.

The pitch doesn't really mean much, we don't get an advantage from ours. Our home and away records were identical last season.

Didn't you also have a better away record than home in the South? I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of the pitches, but I don't really see much of an advantage. Some clubs will train on it anyway!

Looking forward to it, could well be an interesting game.

With tanks like McCombe and Astles at the heart of our defence a potential aerial battle with Denton is intriguing to say the least. Interesting to see if you go with Morgan instead.

At the other end I’d back White and Aki to cause anyone in this league problems, they looked really dangerous the other night with Hannah to come off the bench as well.

Come on Sutton, Bromley and all the other Football League virgins. Down with the imperialism of the brotherhood Football League Clubs. We want change in the Football League. Imagine Bromley v Coventry and Sutton v Crewe and Boreham Wood v Swindon. It doesn't get any better than that. Down with the status quo

How did we get to Friday without one, SHAME.

Maidenhead v Hartlepool 12:30- Maidenhead win
Aldershot v Guiseley- Guiseley win
Barrow v Woking- Woking win
Boreham Wood v Solihull- Boreham win
Chester v Halifax- Halifax
Dover v Wrexham- Dover
Eastleigh v Dagenham- Eastleigh
Ebbsfleet v Fylde- Ebbsfleet
Gateshead v Torquay- Gateshead
Leyton Orient v Maidstone- Maidstone
Macclesfield v Bromley- Bromley
Tranmere v Sutton Utd- Sutton

That's who I hope win

Seems like we performed a lot better mid week with two upfront, would imagine he'd keep the same team, possibly replacing Donnelly for Adams and maybe Luke George for Hawkins? Hopefully we don't show ourselves up on telly :animatedf:

As longest serving members of the National League* I'm pretty certain you've lost the right to talk about the Natural Order.

*I'm well aware Orient will probably take this record in 7 years time well after Wrexham are back in L2 and probs L1.
