Not for the first time this season, as a vastly technically superior side we fail to deliver because as team we have no discipline at defending.

From our perspective, we were far too lazy in the build up to Chester's first goal, the linesmans was right in line so I'll take his word. Their second goal was a well struck free kick from Hannah, but it was poor goalkeeping from Sam Sargeat I thought as it was his side - the defending from our perspective was also simply too lazy in the way the game built up to the foul, it was a bit soft but we weren't good enough man for man.

The penalty was a bit soft, but it came again from another major fuck up at the back from our keeper and team and the ref was always going to give it, if it was my team I'd have wanted a penalty and a red card. Sargeant saved a tame penalty in the end, which cost Chester because they were awful I thought second half - They were up against ten men, conceded an equaliser and very nearly lost the game all together, they offered very, very little in the second half after putting a decent shift in the first half. Probably playing with a bit of fear themselves which is understandable.

The ref was a total amateur, he got the main decisions right, but he was far, far too slow at awarding decisions and lost alot of control of the game at one point in the first half and got in the way at least 3 times. I thought he was a bit out of his depth myself, he looked like an amateur.

Maybe we've finally woken up......

Hmmmm, I'll believe it if we actually win an away game Saturday to make it 3 in a row.

At half time we looked comfortable and were well on top. In true Wrexham style we dropped deep and invited pressure and solihull could easily have nicked a point. 3 wins on the bounce and all clean sheets. .. can't complain. Tough run of games coming up starting at aldershot this wkd. I got to say I think it's our free flowing attacking football that has got us to the top of the league, but we have a long way to go and this league is proving to be very tight.

Got away with one there. Against good teams our midfield has to cover the back four far more than they did tonight. The two Tranmere goals were easily avoidable in that respect and they should have ended the game as a contest in the second half. Our two goals were very scrappy, the first was a rebound from a penalty, the second was bundled over the line after a rather dubious free kick. Two straight draws now but with back to back away games coming up we should get back to winning ways before long.

Was at the Gallagher tonight - Each time I've seen Maidstone this season they've been unquestionably dire. All very well having decent-ish forwards, but without a midfield or competent full backs you'll struggle to win too many.

Sets you up nicely for the big game at the Rec on Saturday - do you reckon many will travel down?

Probably about 300 at a guess I would imagine. Would take a point right now, pretty sure we've got an awful record against you. Rendell has scored about 100 goals against us over his career.

I don’t know what it is, we’re just a totally different side away to the one we see at home. It’s annoying as fuck.

No, nearly did though.

Confident we'll get at least a point from this.
Someone was watching over me tonight, I came within a whisker of attending this holocaust.
Anyway in better news, Her Majesty's government have won every vote tonight, and so far, on the EU exit bill, so I'm still #WINNING :bdick::bdick::bdick:

Thought Macc were a bit unlucky to be behind at h/t, but if we’d taken one of 3 good chances in the second half, could have put the game to bed. However, gave away too much ground and with some odd decisions from the referee always a danger of letting one in.

Contrary to expectation, Norburn almost anonymous and Connor Jennings fairly quiet when he came on.

Who was the minutes applause for?

Just got back to my hotel in Ilford after our match at Brisbane Road. I've not read any other comments yet as I'm completely disconsolate. Obviously would have taken 2-2 at the outset, but we've massively spurned a chance to get out of the bottom 4 and move above Orient. 2-1 up and our lad is through with only the GK to beat, is hauled down and we are rightly awarded a penalty. The icing (supposedly) is the culprit is sent off. The normally reliable Ross Hannah steps up ... and misses. We come out the second half and invite Orient to try their best to score and hey ho they duly score from 30+ yards. Two fairly evenly matched teams and it could have gone either way from there on. If we'd buried that penalty we'd have been home and dry. We make it very hard for ourselves and we still have that awful habit of inviting teams on when we should be keeping possession and controlling the game. Not sure if we'll stay up throwing away winning positions like that. At least I haven't got to sit on a coach for the next 4 hours.

Anyone got a spare neck brace? A very hoofy game of football. Dover offered nothing but Hoof, the goal was the only bit of quality in the game. As Lee said above we need to win at Chester to back up our home form before we can be considered as serious contenders.

Personally I thought you was awful in the second half, as I originally said. Not sure how much of that was down to nerves. You could've easily lost that had Mooney taken the only clear chance of the second half at the end.

That 4–0 loss was the first time a Heath side has lost by more than two goals in four seasons, I believe. A really diabolical one as well. Not sure what can be salvaged from it but I expect (and hope) him to be in charge against The Vision on Saturday and that we finally break this terrible run of form. Summat beyond mere ability must've been lacking tonight.

We were awful until you equalised, then we upped it a bit. Someone on Deva Chat has just pointed out that we had a full 11 players missing tonight through injuries, suspensions and being out on loan. Only one of our bench (Joyce) has had any minutes on the pitch. The penalty miss did for us though. It would have been a different 2nd half had we been leading 3-1. Deva Chat has already got us relegated and perhaps they're right.

Chester now 2-1 up at Orient
their 1st goal hit the post, but the lino gave a goal, is that right?

orient down to 10 now & chester missed penalty - it's all happening

It crossed the line no danger. Thank God that the Lino was alert.

You'll finish 21st again and have a reprieve by a team going tits up.

We had an Orient fan sitting with us and he said that all the ref's major decisions were correct and he hasn't enjoyed a game of football as much for ages.

Wouldn't accept it if I had my way. Forest Green survived many times in that fashion and I think you should get one reprieve and that's your lot.

Macc played tidy football and had a lot of possession, but we should have won the game. We had the best four or five chances of the match and gifted two poor goals to the opposition. There is real mental weakness in this squad - the third stoppage time goal we have conceded in successive away games - which is why we are going nowhere this season.

When we get it together, as for the two goals tonight, we look a good side but there is just no consistency with this group.

Well that is that game over with, I have no recollection of us ever beating Dagenham Home or away , we expected defeat , and defeat truely came,
In a entertaining game Dover we crap in the first half defended well but for a split second where as our right side of defence disappeared to allow them to waltz down the wing cross and score,
We picked up a bit in the second half, and their keeper made a good save from Pinnock that would have been a contender for goal of the season , after that we huffed and puffed and with Dagenham's antics of time wasting and slowing the game down they managed to keep the win .and overall deserved the win , I think today, as the second half at Orient last Saturday , Dover show they have a lack any strength in depth , with just 3 out injured we have to play a member of the coaching at full back, although their keeper was named man of the match, which may say something , quite what u don't know

Bit concerned though I have backed D and R to win the league , wont throw my slip away just yet, though I may cover the bet by backing the welsh
