Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Diabolical performance vs Warrington and deservedly thumped……I personally think we desperately need the pitches to start drying up, our play never suits well in winter when pitches get heavier…..usually when we slump.

But today the attitude stank which is unusual for curzon, they started with approach they had to win, we started with approach we hoped to win and difference showed.

Warrington seemed to just have an approach of having a couple of players able to do a lot of step overs and run directly at player…..usual rule down here to stop that is take a couple of yellows and kick the sh*t out of them…..something curzon can be good at usually a club to get a deliberate yellow or two to dictate midfield.

Today they went in all namby pamby….odd little foot stuck in worrying about getting their kit dirty…..never coped all game and tjherefore resorted to sitting far too deep and hardly troubling…..and changes whe never looking like scoring only really made in 85th minute!!

Dreadful all round from manager choices to attitude to play….got what was deserved. Warrington looked very useful could be the dangerous late runner for top 7

We started brilliantly at Rushall, scoring after about 30 seconds with Smalley on a mazy run and finishing well. A defensive mistake then allowed Rushall to equalise before Theo Robinson got his 5th in 6 games to put us back in front. He's been a revelation us.

Second half though the team from the second half disappeared and we sat so far back I think some of our players were in the car park. Just invited non stop pressure. Our new keeper (our 4th in 5 games!!) made some tremendous saves, Rushall hit the post and then pressure told and they equalised with a great strike from distance.

Unfortunately we didn't wake up and the subs made were questionable. No idea how Danny Wright remained on the field as he offered nothing. The same lad then produces another wonder strike and it looks like we've messed it up yet again. Some how we then digged out a great cross and header from Tolley in the 97th min to equalise.

We stole that draw, and it's not enough anyway. As an aside, very surprised Rushall got into the league with that ground. Surely more needs to be done with it to remain at this level?

Fairly routine 3 points today though Southport did test us a little In the first half. Second half was all Chorley and it was when not if the first goal came, we went on to score three and ease to a comfortable win played on a difficult pitch which got worse as the game went on.
On now to Tuesday and Tamworth at home, that should be interesting. We signed Justin Donawa today on loan from Alty and though he only had a cameo at the end looked useful.
He is very useful.

We were close to signing him but he chose you in the end.

Life at the bottom I guess.

This club is just cursed.

Battered South Shields and lost, took them until the 2nd half to have a shot on target which they obviously scored. We score a perfectly fine goal to equalise late on and it's ruled out for offside despite the fact it's clearly not offside.

2nd place is gone for us

What a result for the Magpies tonight, had a feeling we would get the 3 points, yes we rode our luck but the defence were superb with keeper Max Dearnley absolutely outstanding. Got the goal in the first 15 minutes the had to withstand heavy pressure especially just before half time but in the end we weathered the storm. Need to keep this up now with 2 away games to come, only 3bpoints behind Scunthorpe with a game in hand.

We battered Scarborough in the first half tonight, but just couldn't score. Took the lead early in the second half with a long range header, then after that we barely saw the ball again Backs to the wall stuff for most of the second half, even more so when Burgess was sent off, but ground out a result. A big difference to our second half capitulation at Chorley on Saturday.

Think I can rule curzon out again for this seaso for the same old issues of not delivering in the games they are expected to win.

3 home games vs midtable sides and no points 8 conceded and only one scored……you ain’t going to deliver with that.

No doubt we will beat Tamworth away Saturday to keep the assumption it may happen but we flog far too many good opportunities to follow it up.

Donawa has looked decent this season, but he has missed a lot of games - first through international duty and then injury. I'm surprised he's gone out on loan, as we are short in cover at right back. That said, he's played mainly as wing back / winger for us.

He played at right back for us on Tuesday in order to give Adam Henley a rest, did ok and it was clear he had played at a higher level, pleased to have got him as we needed cover as Blackpool recalled Jack Moore. Pleased I was right with my feeling we would beat Tamworth.

That's a massive and very sweet win considering the way Alfreton were playing.

That might have been the most gamesmanship I have seen at Glanford Park from an opposition team, they were time wasting from the first minute. Their keeper went down with "injuries" on numerous occasions. They came for a point but we stole all three at the end in added time, thanks to all their time wasting.

And Tamworth are wobbling. You are not out of it. Trust me.
Win your game in hand and they lose another and it’s back on.

We just snatched a victory over a part time team at home after not winning for 4 games, we’re not concerned about Tamworth.

Tamworth are better than us, we simply cannot handle teams that set up to do a job on us. Our main goal is to secure 2nd and get the home play-off games.

He always played right wing for us.

Good performance and deserved win against Buxton. So frustrating - we are a much better footballing side than Buxton and yet they are comfortable and we are likely in NPL next year. They were truly abysmal - two 7 foot full backs whose only purpose is to lumber forward for set pieces - not an ounce of footballing ability in either. If you go 1 up against us and decide to sit back when we have never come from behind to get anything all season, you get what you deserve.

You get your chance tomorrow curzon are frustrating this season we grab 4 points away at the top two sides (should have beaten Tamworth) but flogging easy home games and will therefore miss out of top 7.

I’d expect Darlo at home to be a major issue for curzon

Fully deserved win over Scarborough at the weekend. Cracking goal from Robinson (who else) put us in front. We had a chance to potentially kill the game after being awarded a penalty but Hanks fired way over the bar. Scarborough showed glimpses of quality but couldn't finish any chances, after God knows how much injury time we held on for once and got the points. Alfreton away up next so we need another result as games are wittering down now.

Well cannot attend midweek games but paid to watch that curzon can Darlo game and wish I hadn’t.

Another tepid display, very negative in our approch, Darlington 100% deserved the win.

Did think we were going to scrape a fluke win when we grabbed an equaliser but it of frankly nothing due to an individual brilliant finish, but for once the right team won again through individual brilliant finish, cannot complain about the loss at all.

Why curzon have for the last month suddenly gone so bland at home, almost back to Lakeland days of attempting not to try and win a game!

Probably not unexpected but lost away at Brackley last night, always a tough place to go and apparently we didnt really turn up. Oh well back home on Saturday v Rushall and we owe them one after somehow losing 5-0 at their place.

Unluckily bumped into a resurgent Darlo that are hopefully starting to change a few gears.
