Wow. Scunny give away 1000 tickets as a publicity stunt and still only get 4000 in.

People must “have a good reason not to be at Glanford park today”

Beat ourselves today by gifting goals away. Fought back but not enough. Terrible ref, not a bad challenge in the game but decides to randomly book half our team in the first half. Didn't give us a corner late on because he couldn't see it in the dark patch where the corner floodlight was out, which did just sum it all up.

2 good wins in a wk and it only moves us up 2 places... this season is the maddest ive seen/can recall. 10-12 teams are only a point apart. At this rate a side in 12th after 45 games could be in the position of either reaching 6th & playoffs OR get relegated in 21st, depending on the final games' results. Crazy innit?!

I had visions of us blowing that game after a shell shocked crazy first half.

We did very little after the interval it was like the alamo, unsure where the ref found at least 10 minutes of stoppage time like. Mind boggling

Definitely thought the game would have ended up all square.

And those floodlights we've had issues before with our midweek home games!

Good win today against a good Chester side that will be thereabouts come the end of the season.

Thought you defended well and looked better than your position. Fine margins, if Glendon scores from that free kick early rather than hitting the post then it's probably a very different game.

Good luck for the rest of the season, I do hope you improve from where you are.

Thanks, I do hope we do improve on this result. Then again I wasn't entirely convinced after the win at Farsley the other week.

Could not go yesterday but another good solid win, type of game curzon always failed in with Lakeland.

On brink of play offs…….also on brink of relegation spots.

Not sure how you think the 2nd and 3rd goals were gifts, they were good goals.

Even the own goal for the first was just unfortunate, rather than gifting us anything. Hedley put a really good cross in which put your defender under pressure and he blobbed it. These things happen.

Absolute shite ref who gave every 50/50 to Chester, and disappointed to see your players acting like a bunch of toddlers at full time, what the hell was all that about?

How the hell do your team survive on gates that low or was that a blip. My local club ( Bridgwater United ) average crowds at around 400 in step 5.

They make a lot of off the field revenue, so much so that their turnover is similar to Darlo's.

There is absolutely no interest in the Ashton area to allow curzon to grow, best example was the fa cup last week which is most cases on a one off drags a large crowd to most non-league clubs yet at curzon about 600 turned up including the away fans, even when they played Wimbledon it was hard work to get 1,000 home fans……..just no interest here , they tried with £5 tickets for people living in Manchester, free lots tickets, free student tickets…jist doesn’t work.

But their facilities are best probably outside football league, massive 3G pitch which is used constantly, about 40-50 Manchester boys clubs use Curzon as a base, offices and business facilities.

Think they would give them all up for 1000 fans

Very good first half display against Chester. Two really good goals as well. Second half, we displayed a bit of grit and determination for once, and defended stoutly. Burton, Lawlor, Hatfield and Salkeld were excellent. Chester do like to get in the ref's ear after every tackle. Think they thought they had to just turn up first half, and a few toys came out the pram at the end. Peers was a narky prick most the game - no surprise he got the red. Was disappointed with Whitehouse - normally bosses the game against us, but did very little. They only seemed to come to life when the sub, Coates, came on. His pace caused us most our problems in the end.

Wasn't there so can't comment. But it did appear that the starting XI could have been stronger. We went through 6 games in October without conceding and winning all, so the defence clearly had an off day. It did however appear that the referee was one of many at this level who was totally out of his depth. I think a lot of our fans had their eyes on automatic promotion, but we are carrying to many unfit players and at best we'll do well to finish 4th to 7th.

Blyth at home tonight, not one I can get to as midweek games I have to watch the kids but I may buy it if shown tonight on national tv.

Need to keep the run going we seem to have ditched draws this season when last few years we used to draw most of the time.

Apart from Chester game we are playing well and creating good opportunities but simply don’t have the money for someone to whack them into net (well until Peers rejoins from Chester)

Just noticed Kings Lynns manager is Curzon's manager from earlier this season

I really hope they don't set up like Curzon did as we could not break them down at all, we could still be playing now and we wouldn't have scored

You can have him for the next 3 games the silly boy got himself a straight red card after the game finished on Saturday.

Home to Darlington tonight, one if those "banana skin" games for us, if we are at full strength and turn up we should be ok but it's the sort of game when we dont get going. Hopefully Hazlehurst back in the squad tonight.

I pretty much hated most of his time in charge because it was tedious in the extreme to watch, but he went into overdrive vs your lot and not expecting it as much at kings lynn (full time club and different expectations)

Your positive is the games at kings lynn, his tactics struggle badly at home, great away from home but sometimes at home under him we had 5 players outside box trying to cross to no one

He was well liked because he took curzon to their best ever finish last season but I’m of the firm belief our side the last 2 seasons should have been in the top 7 and failed to get there because of him……too cautious on too many occasions.

Maybe he will change at a club when expectations are much higher

That's my worry, especially as we are looking like letting Jacob Hazel go. Asante and Nelson are both prone to injuries, which leaves us in the lap of the gods.

IF he can avoid injury, you've just potentially saved yourself from relegation.
We weren't getting relegated anyway.

Far too good to be slumming it in the bottom 4.

If Asante can stay fit we will be aiming for the play offs.

Nelson seems to be staying fit, and the goals will come for him I'm sure.

I feel sorry for Hazel as he's been hounded out of the club by the mob.

Of course we'll soon forget if Asante is fit, and better.

Great player, but made of glass. Came to us from Tamworth with a record of injury. We just about kept him fit and he repaid us with goals. Spent a lot of time injured since. I'd have a back up plan.

Never had a worry on the injury front with Hazel. Nelson I just don't think will ever get back to being a regular scorer. I despair of some of our fans at times. Has to be a scapegoat, even one who got 22 goals last season.

You’ve been after Whitehall haven’t you?

Supposedly Cal Roberts is on £10,000 a week.. another great decision from the chequebook manager
