Some pre-season beef with Radcliffes manager and Chester fans
Jonno is Jonno, there's no beef really and most of us like him, did a decent job here and still interacts with plenty of our fans regularly for a chat on there. That said I'm glad we've left the time of worrying what he will get involved with next on twitter behind.

It's our daft teenage fans on twitter that annoy me.

The league this season is looking extremely tough to predict, got many options for next season heading into the summer all could legit do well.

For a start all the play off failures were in tremendous form in the last 6-8 weeks of the season, none of them were poor in the play offs mostly lost in tight games or by pens……any of them could realistically go again.

Then you have Kidderminster down here, strong side, Radcliffe and their cash, Chester, Hereford both big clubs here who can improve on what they have.

You have South Shields and Spennymoor who were in astounding form but left it too late for play offs.

And of course 3 big clubs with good budgets who all looked doomed in first half of last season but all hit great form in second half of season in Southport, Kings Lynn and Darlington

You have Buxton going full time and after Tamworth last season maybe someone unexpected……lots of options. That is about 13-14 Sid’s without any others

I think you have summed it up well there mate. I am not even sure we will get into the
playoffs. It's a hard league as Stockport evidenced. They were here for ages

Imagine still being in L2 and having to go to all of those dreary southern places

I mean I'm optimistic as fuck but even I don't see Darlington in 3rd.

I think we could challenge for the play offs based on the second half of last season and if we can add a bit of quality. And what a difference a tactically aware manager makes too.

Brackley 1st? Ooooh controversial but lets hope so because it will be the only way that they will ever go up.

What's the beef between Quakers and Brackley?
Brackley just annoy me because they are artificially pumped full of money to compete above their natural level and always beat Darlo.

Now, actually, lots of clubs are like that and they all annoy me so it's not just a Brackley thing - there have been many through the years and this will no doubt continue to happen - but at least they always either get promoted or end up going bust.

Brackley however just continue to do the same thing every year. Namely hang around the NLN despite all the money thrown at them. I just find it tedious as fuck. I just want them to go up or down - not bothered which.

Too early to decide what we're doing next season. We've released 9 and offered deals to 9, 3 of which are sicknotes so hope they reject.
Andy Butler has said he'll still have a big budget by NLN standard, so the owner must be optimistic the fans will renew/turn up.

I don't dislike any other football team - and one person being a bit of a bellend isn't going to change that. (Not even that Halifax Town supporting utter wazzock from a few years back could make me dislike Halifax - can't remember his name now). I'd be happy to see Darlington back in the League - they are a proper team. Brackley is just a little town which is punching above its weight - and yes Alan Leighton (hope he is sorry over the Post Office business, although genuinely don't know what / how much / if he bares any responsibility) plays a role in that... but wouldn't we all like to bankroll our hometown club a bit? I just can't get the disliking other teams business... we're all tinpot at this level.

Good to see I've been downgraded from "twat" to "bit of a bellend".

Mate, there's a bit of jealousy in there as well. However well we've done, no-one from the town with the funds to do so, cares enough to bankroll us, even a little.

I have no interest in having anyone bankroll us.

Wonder if there was any influence of the cost of the new stand on playing budgets for next season making it unappealing for him as otherwise looks a bit of a sideways move.

Could be a tough season for them.

Massively so, they wont publicly say that but it kinda makes sense - stour have always been a good cup side but never made the next step. Maybe McDonald wanted another promotion on his cv as Rushall probably wont ever be more than they are

I'd be happy with something like that at our away end, it looks smart.

I think something like the black sheep brewery stand at Harrogate (before they put the seats in) behind the open end would be perfect.

I think the place for a stand similar to the Rushall one (combo of terracing and seats, is around where the tunnel is. If we could do that then we wouldn't have to give away a quarter of the ground every time we wanted to put in some segregation. Which starts to effect views for home fans who we could really do with coming back.

Who are the key players for Curzon to keep hold of for this season? I used to go watching Curzon whenever my club Rochdale were playing away and it was always a case of who can we keep hold of rather then who can we bring in

That is not an easy question because it was more a team effort last season than individual class, plus we have players who seem able at present to play defence or midfield, midfield or up front and one who can play defence or up front, they don’t all stick to one area and therefore stand out.

Goals is always the single biggest issue, so keeping Stefan mols, James spencer and Isaac Sinclair will be vital….looking likely as only issue was Mols and he just re signed last week.

Adam Barton always seems a key figure in midfield and the one to watch is Joshua Ollerenshaw in goals who broke into the side late last season due to injury to the main goalie and was bloody fantastic, granted he isn’t a youth player but it was like finding a fantastic new player for free.

The one major issue will be replacing Craig Mahon himself, when he’s on his game there isn’t many better at this level but he really needs now to reduce the playing and focus on management.

You'd have to be disappointed in yourself, it you hadn't already realised you were a least one of these descriptors wouldn't you? At least by moving you up from one to the other, I gave you a sense of what it feels like to be promoted - something our respective football clubs are unlikely to ever give either of us the experience of.
