Mansfield have the making of an ok side at this level. I thought it last week at their place. They aren't the tiki taka masters some of their fans make out but they'll do alright.

IMO their huge squad will be their downfall, using the least amount of players seems to get you up in this league if you look at the total amount of players used by the top three promoted sides.

I agree, we aren't exactly Brazil but at the same time we aren't hoofers any more. We mix it up. After the shit we've had to watch over the last few seasons, through our amber tinted glasses it does appear to look like we're playing like Brazil!

Fair play to Mansfield as they deserved the win overall. Just wanted it more than Notts.

Mansfield should have taken the lead in the first five minutes, Carroll pulled off a good but slightly lucky save.

Stags and Notts were then both lucky to have eleven men. A late tackle and then a handball could have been sending offs any other night.

The goal was a well worked but Notts were naive for it.

Notts made two subs at half time and then immediately a third. The late tackle took its toll on Sprockel. This basically handed the game over as the changes didn't really work.

Mansfield then basically time wasted for forty five minutes. How the ref didn't produce a single card for time wasting I don't know.

Second goal was coming, basically it's concerning Notts STILL can't defend set pieces. I don't know why it's still a problem.

The fact that we are still gelling is very evident. We couldn't do the basics tonight. Simple passes not going to their man. Over playing when we should have been playing simple.

I'm not reading too much into this. We weren't good enough on the night. We are still getting to learn to play as a team and it's only second match of the season

Thats very much it I think there has been a big improvement this season with us actually looking to score as last season we seemed to be setting up not to lose with very little in attacking intent personally I still think this is a season of transition for us especially with such a young squad.

We just didn't turn up, to be expected when so many players are missing in a new side that are playing their 3rd game in 9 days with no rest though.

Hey ho, 2nd game of the season. A lot of Mansfield fans are weird and dicks but I like SFL, Conker and Richard Cranium on here so let's remain friends (maybe more of you, not sure)

I think missing Swerts and Amevour was pretty bad for us. I think both would have been a massive improvement

Two okayish teams in a decent contest although Mansfield edged it. The Notts Co players looked like strangers so I think we deserved to win.
