Jog on, Halifax don't have any fans to sing in the first place!

Joking.

Quality song, never heard it at any other club, personally. Its a shame "At the memorial stadium" is too long for this. In honesty though, imagine seeing 14,000 clap and dance in union to this. I had goosebumps

I still can't get over the FISH chant and how bloody brilliant it sounded in Wembley, almost every single Town fan in the stadium doing it, sounded more fitting for Galatasary not Grimsby!

It's got just as much rhyming as the Grimsby chant. I just went with an ABBC pattern instead of an ABCC one!

Don't worry, I thought of a much better one for you. Excuse my voice, it has completely gone, seems a few of us actually did try singing in the Rovers end ;)

http://vocaroo.com/i/s0F9u2Slui95

My voice hasn't reappeared yet either, bloody nightmare. Shame about five people around me fancied joining in, bloody day trippers. The amount of filthy looks i got aswell for standing up whilst trying to get some semblance of an atmosphere going, just added to the stress of the day.

I didn't think the 'FISH' chant was that great when in the middle of it, but having seen it back from the other end of the ground it sounds absolutely incredible. If the video wasn't titled you could honestly mistake us for being some european club, just add in a couple of red flares and a cage.

It looked great from where I was sitting!

To be fair if I was sat in Wembley at the play-off final as champions already, the whole Bristol Rovers taking turns on my missus before burning my house down would look great.

I wish I hadn't read this quote from Ollie Palmer today;

“I have seen it back hundreds of times and it was clearly a sending-off like it would have been for any other player,” said Palmer.

“He handled outside the box and there was no one in the goal so it was definitely going in. I’ve seen a picture that shows there is no one else in sight in the box.

The referee told me he didn’t want to spoil the game, but he’s spoiled it by not sticking to the rules. But that’s football. Both sides had chances after that so you can’t dwell on it.”

If true, and Ross Joyce has actually said that, then it's an absolute fucking disgrace. Not applying the rules in the name of 'entertainment'. Aye Ross, I found losing on penalties most entertaining.

Seems as though every time he officiates one of our games he messes us about. Referees are generally garbage at this level but he has been a consistent thorn in our side. Can only be glad that the moron won't be in charge of any of our games next season.

If he has indeed said that, then it's a disgrace and it's a mystery how the guy can be moved up the leagues. I do actually think he got the Taylor one wrong too, but that's by the by as the Puddy one would have changed the game first. Granted, we've come back from having our keeper sent off to draw before this season but it would have been a tough ask. I personally think it was a red for Puddy, so did DC.

In saying that, no-one being in the box doesn't mean no-one would have got back, i haven't seen all the replays of the incident however. Was it going on target and had enough pace to go in? Genuine question by the way, not trying to make it seem like it shouldn't have been a red, my instinct from where I was stood said yes.

With the law being "goalscoring opportunity" then surely any doubt either way means that it is just that - an opportunity? If you can't confirm that it was definitely not going in, then there was an opportunity that it would?

Well it does say obvious opportunity. Which that, for me, was.

But it doesn't matter. What does matter is after the biggest game in our history we're talking about a refereeing decision 3 days later.

Everyone else stopped talking about it and you brought it back up....

But you know...

Well, no because it's still a major talking point on our forum and this article came out today.

You've also totally missed my point, my point is we should be talking about a brilliant performance, or a great goal to win the game. Instead the main talking point of the game is a decision made by Ross Joyce, a ref who did the same bloody thing to us last year in the semi final.

Joyce didn't ref our semi-final last season Lew. The ref in the home leg was called Chris Kavanagh and in the away leg it was Kevin Johnson.

You're probably thinking of the 2 all draw at home to Gateshead when Joyce gave one the worst refereeing displays I've ever seen. It was said after the game that Joyce actually traveled to the game on the Gateshead team coach as he is from the North-East but whether that was true or not I don't know.

I know you lot ( Grimsby ) need to forget about this final and move on. Because in a few weeks time no one will remember parts of the match except the final score and who won.

Good luck for next season.

Some of us already have, despite the decision there is no guarantee we would have still won, and we had plenty of chances to win both before and after the decision.

Not the best quality but it's there if you want to see it again.

Looks like it's on line, if im honest, although tough to see properly without a behind the goal angle or hawkeye. Don't think McChrystal has got the pace to get that although his positioning wasn't bad, I actually thought during the game Palmer made a softer, scruffier contact but obviously not. Looks a red to me, i'd certainly feel hard done by if it were visa versa.

There's no point dwelling on things. However unfair it seems it's happened and that's the end of it and however long we keep moaning about things, they're not going to order the game to be replayed are they, so lets just move on. Hopefully all the players offered new contracts will sign them and we go again next season. I'm just a little bit concerned that Pearson and Nsiala may have alerted some League 2 clubs to them after their performances last Sunday.

Wish I hadn't watched that because it looks so much worse than it first did, truly terrible decision. Does make it sting a bit more but it doesn't change the fact our forward line is terrible and fluffed so many glorious chances. Despite the decision we had many opportunities to win the game and failed to take them.

The playoff final trophy has been around some Bristol schools today. I hope they bloody cleaned it up after MT had his wicked way with it.

Congratulations to Bristol Rovers, over the course of the season you definately deserved promotion, it has taken me until the last couple of days to be able to look at or even read anything about the game, such has been my devestation with what happened. The most utterly gutted and drained i have ever felt after a football match.
The only time during the whole game where i thought we may lose was for 15 mins after Rovers scored, thought we were hanging on for half time, but for the other 105 mins i genuinely never thought for a second that we would lose, just felt so comfortable which was really strange.
I'm surprised only 1 of you has mentioned Magnay not getting a 2nd yellow, soon as he dragged their left winger back i looked straight to the ref and his hand went straight to his pocket, and then out again!
Not gonna talk about the other decisions this late in the day, just wanted to post on here and congratulate Rovers,
talking to quite a few of their fans on the way to the stadium and they were all spot on, and same on the tube afterwards.
The first time my lad has ever cried at a football match was tough to see, but i told him that supporting GTFC, it definately won't be the last!
A few people have touched on Rovers fans lack of noise, but when their winning pen went in, the noise was insane, sickening for me to hear at the time mind, but very impressive.
Good luck in League 2 Rovers, great club, great fans.
